Why Would Anyone No Longer Want to Continue in the Goodness of God?

Part IX

Romans 11:22 - Behold therefore the goodness and severity of God: on them which fell, severity; but toward thee, goodness, if thou continue in his goodness: otherwise thou also shalt be cut off.
Romans 2:4b - ...not knowing that the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance?
Romans 1:21-23 - Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.  Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools, And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things.

The verses we consider tonight as follows:
(not necessarily in the following order, either)

Gospel verses showing it was by THEIR strength and by THEIR faith that was to keep them going.

Tribulation books about OBEDIENCE to give them understanding and strength! Paul's writings are about our strength being HIS (Risen Savour) strength, not ours! Miscellaneous comments from within audio sermon:
