Why Would Anyone
No Longer Want to Continue in the Goodness of God?

Romans 11:22

Behold therefore the goodness and severity of God: on them which fell,
severity; but toward thee, goodness, if thou continue in his goodness:
otherwise thou also shalt be cut off.

2:4b - ...not knowing that the goodness
of God leadeth thee to repentance?
Romans
1:21-23 - Because that, when they knew
God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain
in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. Professing
themselves to be wise, they became fools, And changed the glory of the
uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds,
and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things.
II Thessalonians
1:11 - Wherefore also we pray always
for you, that our God would count you worthy of this calling, and fulfil
all the good pleasure of his goodness, and the work of faith with
power:
More possible reasons for folks to depart from the
Goodness of God:

They will not admit they are still wretched in their body of death!

Romans 7:24,25
- O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver
me from the body of this death? I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord.
So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God; but with the flesh
the law of sin.

Proverbs 16:18
- Pride goeth before destruction, and an
haughty spirit before a fall.

Proverbs 18:12
- Before destruction the heart of man is
haughty, and before honour is humility.

They fear God's
judgment going on in America now with floods, tornadoes, etc. so they go
back to their religion they never could despise! See Acts
19:27

They still think
they can be a good enough Christian that they would help things in the
country and in their lives. They believe that they certainly can't
be as wretched as Paul says.

They will now
do their best to 'stop sinning.'

They have been
led to believe they are not worthy to receive what Paul preaches because
they have been taught Jewish doctrine...
-
Acts 13:46
- Then Paul and Barnabas waxed bold,
and said, It was necessary that the word of God should first have been
spoken to you: but seeing ye put it from you, and judge yourselves unworthy
of everlasting life, lo, we turn to the Gentiles.
17. They
wonder where God is and if there is even a God anymore?

They are not "seeing"
what the KJB says people in Paul's day saw and received from God Himself
- as according especially in Corinthians.

They don't see
I
Corinthians 13:10 as the KJB.

They are not seeing
the miracles that they believe they should see and are missing the miracles
that God has done today! (see the bunny trail below)

Galatians 3:5
- He therefore that ministereth to you
the Spirit, and worketh miracles among you, doeth he it by the works of
the law, or by the hearing of faith?

The Great Commission
teaches people they SHOULD see signs & miracles, etc

Do you wonder
if God has ever done "more" than you asked?

Ephesians 3:20
- Now unto him that is able to do exceeding
abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that
worketh in us,

Do you wonder
where the "profiting" is?

I Timothy 4:15
- Meditate upon these things; give thyself
wholly to them; that thy profiting may appear to all.

Do you wonder
what the "aboundings" are?

I Thessalonians
4:1 - Furthermore then we beseech you,
brethren, and exhort you by the Lord Jesus, that as ye have received of
us how ye ought to walk and to please God, so ye would abound more and
more.

Do you wonder
where are the so-called "blessings" for America?

Galatians 3:8
- And the scripture, foreseeing that God
would justify the heathen through faith, preached before the gospel unto
Abraham, saying, In thee shall all nations be blessed.

No physical miracles
for today - they are of the devil as he is prepping people for his coming

18. They
have forgotten about the Judgment Seat of Christ

Those rewards
& blessings you want today can not be taken with you when you die...
or...

...those rewards
& blessings given to you 'tomorrow' will stay with you for eternity!
