Read II Corinthians 4:8-5:11

Paul was troubled... but he was not distressed. How about you?
Paul was perplexed... but was not in despair. How about you?

Read II Timothy 1:8-11

Paul tells us not to be ashamed of the testimony of the Lord nor of him - but being that way will bring us the afflictions of the gospel according to Paul!

II Timothy 1:12

Suffering but not ashamed!

For the which cause I also suffer these things: nevertheless i am not ashamed: for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day.

Let's learn from Paul's ways and MANNER!

How did Paul handle the same tough situations that we run into?

1. Titus 3:9-11

Those that want to argue - a waste of time for Paul...

avoid them or give them two tries and leave!

2. II Timothy 4:14-18

Those that hassled him...

preaching & the word of God!

3. Titus 1:10-16

Those that deceived him...

rebuke them sharply!

4. Titus 2:15

"Christians" who are lukewarm on sound doctrine in their walk...

speak, exhort and rebuke with all authority

5. II Timothy 3:13-17

Seducing and evil men...

stay with what you have learned - don't give in!

6. II Timothy 2:19-21

Those that dishonour and bring you down / hold you back ...

purge them from your life!

7. II Timothy 3:1-17

The modern Christian seeking pleasures instead...

turn away from them!

8. II Thessalonians 3:6-15

"Christians" being offensive & trouble making over Paul's doctrine...

have no company, but don't consider them your enemy, either.

Consider this especially!

I Corinthians 4:3,4
But with me it is a very small thing that I should be judged of you,
or of man's judgment:
yea, I judge not mine own self.
For I know nothing by myself; yet am I not hereby justified:
but he that judgeth me is the Lord.

People who judged him ...He was not concerned if others judged him. He didn't even judge himself - He knew God gave him what he knows...

That is the same thought we should
have towards our King James Bible!

We learn from the "For" and we learn to apply the 'TO!"
