Paul's Manner of Life
Part XVII

...Put On...
General Outline of verses used in audio sermon

Are you tired of the persecutions, rejections, arguments, the 'hate' you receive ... and all you are trying to do is live to serve and please God by following Paul's 'ways' and making those changes in your life - or at least trying... - as the Scriptures tell us to do?
Maybe we have been sincere in our trying to do Paul's ways
but NOT IN HIS 'MANNER' OF DOING THOSE WAYS?

Let's consider these things as we learn to live Paul's ways - the ways taught to us by the Risen Saviour.  Without considering these things listed below, we may be doing more damage to our 'listeners' than we realize.
For meat destroy not the work of God.
All things indeed are pure;
but it is evil for that man who eateth with offence.
Romans 14:20

Paul's Manner of Life to Us
Review:
21.  ... PUT ON ...

Matthew 6:24-34; Luke 12:22-32 is not to us today at all.  Go ahead, if you think it is, then drop your job - quit 'earning' an income and let God provide!  Or... get mad at God when He doesn't provide... take your pick, but you are messing with verses that were written to Jews - NOT to us today (or even Gentiles during those days).  Read Matthew 6:32 - Jesus said that Gentiles are always worried about having things... and we still are today!   That is why we have made God be our provider when in all actuality, you have a JOB.  When you lose that job, you sweat and wonder how to pay the bills, etc.  You can sit around and wait for God to provide because you want to claim those verses and make Jesus the magic Saviour but don't get mad Him when you don't get a job - or your health goes bad when you are out of work, etc.  If you want, you can blame yourself - you can to someone they don't have enough faith, or they haven't tithed, or they are somehow out of fellowship with God, etc.

All because you are trying to claim verses that are NOT written TO you.

However, Paul does tell us very specifically what we should put on - but note they are spiritual things.

This morning we will do just one!
