The Vanity of Today's Mind?
|
Introduction
How can people
so miss the 'obvious' these days?
-
How can someone go through Bible college...
-
and hate the KJB?
-
wrongly divide the KJB?
-
OT / Gospels / GC / Paul / Tribulation
-
not see to follow Paul?
-
not see the depth of the English Language for the
Scriptures?
-
not see what is going on today - have their eyes
opened / enlightened, etc.
-
how do they miss the scene in America today
-
NWO
-
preparations for those against what is being done
-
laws
-
culture change
-
old America gone
-
liberties being 'given' away
-
money system towards world
-
political system going global
-
religious system going global
-
families
-
What it means to follow Paul...
-
unlearn, not just add to your bag...
-
sacrifice in order to please the Risen Christ
-
what will you be willing to give up?
The flesh is obviously
a problem!
-
Romans 7:20 -
it still has sin dwelling in me
-
But we can't forget, the mind is also at issue!
Note Paul's battle!
Romans 7:21-25
You can not fight the battle 'their way' -
scholarship, education, etc..
-
You can not SHOW them, you must BE that change -
and then tell them how and why!
-
Faith in that Book stops them in their tracks!
-
Scholarship is not faith!
-
But having faith gives you a scholarship and an education
but it is of the Bible itself!
Ephesians 4:17-19
How about those others that we try to show what we believe to be the
obvious?
-
with a darkened understanding!
-
of being alienated from God because of their ignorance!
-
with a blind heart! (always being led by their 'heart' - conscience (remembered...
seared
today!)
-
where you have given yourself over unto lasciviousness because you are
past feeling!
-
working all uncleanness with greediness! (love of money...)
But remember, even as a Christian, we still must
'choose' to live a life that pleases the Lord...
and then do it - there is no magic Jesus that will do it for you!
-
Philippians 4:9
-
Galatians 2:20,21 - we must include
19,
and then heed what He told Paul to tell us!
-
Acts 22:14,15
-
Acts 26:16b
-
Our testimony is from our 'doing' what Paul teaches
us from the Risen Saviour
-
I Thessalonians 4:1,2
-
Philippians 1:9-11
-
It is our choice!
Romans 6:11-22
-
Before, we were a servant to unrighteousness!
-
Now, we must choose to whom we will yield our members to!
-
Or we can live the same life as a lost person... (Gentile - we are church
of God!)
-
with a darkened understanding!
-
of being alienated from God because of their ignorance!
-
with a blind heart! (always being led by their 'heart' - conscience - remember...
seared
today!)
-
where you have given yourself over unto lasciviousness because you are
past feeling!
-
working all uncleanness with greediness! (love of money...)
-
There goes our testimony - we have to say something to make someone think
we are a Christian instead of being that Christian!
-
I Thessalonians 1:9
-
Philemon 6
Here are some wrong choices for
our mind!
I. Minds be Evil Affected
Acts 14:2 -
But the unbelieving Jews stirred up the Gentiles, and made their minds
evil affected against the brethren.
-
The world is stirred up against Christianity - even towards the false Christianity
of today!
-
The lost are stirred up against the saved
-
Christians are stirred up against Christians in whatever fashion... judgment,
etc. (unless it is done properly in I Thessalonians 3 - still
not an enemy by us, anyway...)
-
Acts 13:50 - holy and devout women
- women are stirred up against the leadership and authority of the male
and Scriptures
-
The Great Commission folks are stirred up against Paul!
-
Baptists are stirred up against non-Baptists - non baptizers - former baptists
-
Some are actually stirred against those leaning towards Hollywood but also
those leaning towards rightly divided truth!
II. Feebleminded
I Thess 5:14 - Now
we exhort you, brethren, warn them that are unruly, comfort the feebleminded,
support the weak, be patient toward all men.
-
Not meaning original ones from birth or childhood, but those that choose
to be like one.
-
Never comforted; no joy; no peace; tense; somebody is always out to
get / hurt them; afraid of others even offering to help or offer some input.
-
GROW UP!
-
and you can ONLY do that with Paul!
-
I Corinthians 13:11
-
Ephesians 4:14
-
Put away childish things...
-
...be a man - an adult in your understanding...
-
...let the winds of doctrine blow you around no more!

The
entire King James Bible is written FOR us, but it is not all written TO
us!
We
learn from the "For" and we try to apply the 'TO!"
