Sermon on the Mount
" More Perfectly "
Part XVI
"Take No Thought... Today?"
Matthew 6:22-34

Part I - Sunday School Hour
Part II - Continued in main sermon

We compare what Jesus said to the Jews during the Gospels and what the Risen Christ says to us today - through Paul and the KJB!

Make your choice, but you can't have both!
22: The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light.
23: But if thine eye be evil, thy whole body shall be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in thee be darkness, how great is that darkness! Two Masters?
24: No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.

But, Can We?
Can we really stay away totally from the darkness and stay in the light constantly?

THEREFORE - TAKE NO THOUGHT?   REALLY?

Main thought today:

Part II - This subject was continued during the morning sermon following Sunday School
XVIb

God takes care of His Jews - the Gentiles seek all that 'stuff!')
32: (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.

So, what does Paul say about taking no thought for our life,
what we shall eat, or what we shall drink;
nor yet for our body, what we shall put on?

The Kingdom of God for the Jews?
33: But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
Tomorrow?
34: Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.

The entire King James Bible is written FOR us, but it is not all written TO us!
We learn from the "For" and we try to apply the 'TO!"
