Learning the way of God more perfectly - Acts 18:26 with the Scriptures Rightly Divided - II Timothy 2:15

How to Mark a Rightly Divide Bible
These are the notes used on April 24th Sunday School audio and PM sermon audio
These are the most important verses when it comes to looking at Paul and his ministry to Gentiles.  I will have the 'presentation chart' completed as soon as we finish this series on marking a bible with all the proper divisions.

This is a temporary crib sheet for your Bible when it comes to Paul - and as you read your Bible, you will add more verses yourself as you see how Paul was used by God not only for you, but TO you!  The complete chart will be completed soon and will be available upon request.

Gospels TO the Jews - Follow Jesus
The Gospels tell the Jews to follow Jesus
    Matthew 16:24
    Mark 8:34
    Luke 9:23

However, to follow Jesus, they were to give it all!
    Matthew 19:21
    Mark 10:21
    Luke 18:22

The Jews were listed as sheep - dumb sheep. A Gentile today does not have to be a sheep - we have the Bible - the Holy Scriptures.  Paul never does call us sheep.  All the shepherd and sheep stuff is directed to Jews.  They could SEE, but they still rejected the guidance.  Now that is a dumb sheep!  We don't have to be!  Read your Bible - and rightly divide it directing your emphasis on Paul's gospel - from Romans to Philemon!

Today, if Jesus' gospel doctrine is followed, you would be following Catholic doctrine - monks, nuns, etc.

So, as Gentiles in this age, WE are told to follow Jesus by following Paul!

God's Will to Jesus was also preached by Paul!
God's will to Jesus:  John 6:39,40 - Raise 'it' up and raise 'him' up!
Paul doing the same:  Acts 9:15,16; 26:18-20; 28:31

Paul met Jesus Christ face to face:
Galatians 1:11,12
II Corinthians 12:1-6
Ephesians 3:1-7
I Corinthians 15:8
Acts 20:24
Acts 26:15-28 - especially verse 16

Paul's Ministry Calling
To open our eyes, and to turn us from darkness to light, etc. repent and turn to God and do works meet for repentance: Acts 26:15-28
Repentance toward God and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ: Acts 20:19-24
His prayers for us: Ephesians 1:15-19; 3:14-19; Philippians 1:9-11; Colossians 1:9-12
His directions for the purpose of the local church: Ephesians 4:11-16
Impart to us spiritual gifts: Romans 1:11; I Corinthians 12:1; I Corinthians 13:9,10
To help us find God's will in our life: Romans 12:1,2; Ephesians 5:14-17; Colossians 4:12

Paul constantly talks about the Lord - gives glory to the Lord, not himself
a few examples:
Acts 28:31
Romans 2:16
I Thessalonians 1:6
Ephesians 5:1
you will find many many more as you read

Paul's gospel - the gospel that Jesus Christ will judge our works by!
Galatians 1:11,12,15-16
Romans 1:9
Romans 2:16
Romans 15:8,9
Romans 16:25,26
Acts 20:24
Ephesians 3:1-6
I Corinthians 15:1-8
II Timothy 2:8
II Timothy 1:1-14

We are to Follow Paul
Romans 11:13,14
Romans 15:15,16
I Corinthians 3:10
I Timothy 1:15,16
II Timothy 4:16,17
I Corinthians 4:16
I Corinthians 11:1,2
Philippians 3:17
Philippians 4:9
II Timothy 2:7
I Thessalonians 4:1,2
I Thessalonians 1:5,6
II Thessalonians 3:7-9

We will follow Christ directly again:
Revelation 19:14

Note I Peter 2:21 - not follow IN his steps, but to follow His steps.  We led the Lord guide us, we don't try to imitate or preach HIS gospel other than through Paul, as His steps take us to Paul!

By the way, Peter got it all straightened out too - by God: Acts 10:9-28 - emphasis on verse 28 and by Paul: Galatians 2:11-16.

And don't forget Apollos in Acts 18:24-28.
Learn the way of God more perfectly - go with Paul!
