Pastors, Is It Too Late to Fix
the Music Problem In Your Church?

A few pastors are starting to see problems with music in:

their the church

possibly enough opinion and convictions to cause splits, discord, envyings, judgments, etc. from the church families towards each other

church families at home

teens
younger kids

other Christians

friends who appear 'finally' enjoy church and worship

modern program materials

new teachings

many based on the very same verses they use themselves

how his people are receiving his sermons 'differently' now

what his people look for in church now

re: music
'fun'
love
social activities to 'rescue' their family, etc.
opinions and conversation about politics, etc.

not talk about the 'war' going on spiritually and physically concerning truth

it is all around them but they know and talk very little about it.

the pastor sees the falling away of the importance of Scriptures

changes from their 'alma mater' / Bible Institute, etc.

the 'old preachers' preaching differently today

the growth of the KJB Only churches while they actually preach apostasy

multi- million dollar buildings; gymnasiums; sports complexes, community outreach centers, daycare, coffee shops, teen centers, etc.

But the only pastors who will be starting to see these problems
are those who are concerned for...

their people

personal lives

judgment seat preparation
daily growth
personal growth in their Bible 'beyond' doctrine

reproof AND correction and instruction in righteousness

personal victories
about the correct foundational "more excellent way" being laid for the church youth

about God's glory

about pleasing God more than man - and according to the Scriptures

understanding rightly dividing the word of truth for all the church folks to understand on their own

the more they understand about Paul, the more they see what is going on today
the preaching and teaching the Risen Christ, not the Gospel Jesus

or following OT temple design
or even early Acts design

preaching Paul's Epistles seriously - ALL of them!

are not satisfied with 'grace only'

not wanting to be ignorant of Satan's devices
they recognize the growing emphasis on GAIN - numbers - church growth, etc. from folks who used to preach against it..

this pastor is preaching less and less on guilt; using less pressure and staying away from emotional pleas, etc.

II Timothy 2:23-25 - But foolish and unlearned questions avoid, knowing that they do gender strifes. And the servant of the Lord must not strive; but be gentle unto all men, apt to teach, patient, In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves;

he is wanting to warn his church family, not shame them!

I Corinthians 4:14 - I write not these things to shame you, but as my beloved sons I warn you.

I believe that in order for a pastor to truly start seeing the truth
of what is going on today, must ...

be KJB Only!

not greekers
not blind followers of Ruckman, Hyles, Gipp, Paulson, Jordan, Norris, MacArthur, Swindol, Dobson, radio, tv personalities, etc. followers, but have their own understanding and solid grasp on the KJB themselves today! I Corinthians 1:12
not 'almost' KJB
not following denominational "teachings," but the very Scriptures themselves - verse by verse, etc.
believe and understand that I Corinthians 13:10 must be the KJB today; and Christ tomorrow.
Rightly Divide according to Books, not picking and choosing verses

Books TO us verses Books FOR us

OT & Gospels / Early Acts 1-8 / Paul's Epistles / Hebrews to Jude as Tribulational Books

Magnify the KJB above all - even His name - Psalm 138:2b
NOT be Great Commission preachers / pastors, etc.
not be allowing their wife to be the 'Holy Spirit' of the church or their families
be the pastor AND teacher.

preaches while he teaches and teaches while he preaches
be willing to lose his church if the truth does to them as it did for most of who Paul preached to
realize that being offensive is not the plan, yet the truth will be offensive to those easily offended
realize that preaching about music has become the most dangerous issue in our Bible Believing churches today

even more dangerous than talking to people about Bible versions

not necessarily know the language of music in detail

although it does help in a new area of awareness that most do not understand today
can still cause them to be manipulated and controlled by his 'musicians' in the church

be willing to withdraw themselves and have no company with from every brother / church member that argues and fights the music issue.

if not, those few musicians will destroy his church - guaranteed!

be able to take note of people's

contemporary appearance
lower standards
will stand strong with their worldly standards
personal emphasis on music

desire for more music in church

emotional reaction and responses to music
growing lack of interest in the preachings
personal friends and/or family associations

no longer KJB only

or not as KJB as they used to be, anyway
no longer a serious issue to 'contend'

appear to be returning to days of yesteryear, when America was supposedly so great
prophecy emphasis and witness tool
even KJB guys are falling away
having a 'happier' and less "issue oriented" church desire

they have lost the fight for truth
they have also lost their own desire for truth in their walk

from not being taught Paul's stuff

Timothy and Titus are TO us today!

Then, if this pastor does know about the language of music, they have a lot more to watch for as his church people sing, play, accompany, etc.

however, to challenge a musician is 'hugely' dangerous

they have practiced for years

they are proud of their music and 'God-given' talent!

they know what they like, so God must like it too!
"What do you know, anyway - you are just a 'piano player.'"
half the church people will like their music and half won't

NOW you have a real problem on your hands!

Are you ready to go further now?

If they don't meet the above criteria or maybe even come close to them, I have found out it is a total waste of seed planting time.

However, we are told to preach the word IN season and OUT of season!
People need preaching AND teaching!!

They need to be taught the final authority of the Scriptures again, and they need to have it preached to them while they are being taught.

Part of the problem is that the majority of pastors / preachers themselves have lousy music knowledge and standards just like everyone else in his church!

their personal past involvement with the baby boomer music of early rock and C&W, etc.
their lack of musical education
their desire for success and growth
their former teachers and professors taught them equally as wrong

and who will go against their 'mentor?'

they are equally as ignorant and bullheaded about their personal likes concerning their music

it makes them feel good - and in most cases, it is as simple as that!

Here is what I believe the Scriptures can show us about music.

The 'new' music that is blowing into our Bible Believe Churches:
is all being done in preparation for the arrival of the antichrist in Revelation 6!

The antichrist will be a great user of All Kinds of Music (Daniel 3:5,7,10,15)

The Music in Today's Churchs - including more and more Bible Believers...
God allows it, yet He hates it!
Devil blesses it and he sure knows how to use it!
Pastors encourage it but know nothing about it!
Parents allow it but mostly ignore it!
Kids follow and bow down to it!
Most all people crave it and continue to fall deeper and deeper
into that musical snare of the devil!

Unfortunately, for us to get people out of that snare is impossible!
They must do it THEMSELVES!
And the servant of the Lord must not strive;
but be gentle unto all men, apt to teach, patient,
In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves;
if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth;
And that they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil,
who are taken captive by him at his will.
II Timothy 2:24-26

Learn from the Old Testament

FOR us, but not TO us!

I Corinthians 10:11 - Now all these things happened unto them for ensamples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come.
Romans 15:4 - For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.

Adam & Eve - Adam hearkened to his wife's direction and it all fell apart!
Moses - using gain to mean success / godliness, etc. He got his water 'abundantly' but it was still wrong!
Amos - using David and modern Scripture changes to support modern CCM music
David & Saul - applying to a Christian the example of the power of music to a lost person
Daniel and King Nebbuchadnezar - the devil will use ALL kinds of music
Psalm 68:4 - compared in Old Testament days vs days of Paul and today
Music historyof Shem, Ham & Japheth from then to today - the Big Picture!

We can see EXACTLY where music has been, where it is today, and where it will be in the near future.

Learn from rightly divided Scriptures

Acts 17:24,25 - exposes false worship of their unknown God today

worship teams
worship leaders
'come worship with us' in place of preaching, etc.

Success based on wrongly divided Scriptures
Acts 2:41-47 - Why the Great Commission teachings / Pentecostal foundations are so prevalent in our KJB churches.
I Timothy 6:5b,6 exposes them for what they are really after - GAIN!
What Paul says about music and melody!
How music has replaced the Bible today because of supposed contradictions, confusion, etc. and improper teachings.
False assumption that we are in the Laodicean church age
What the evil communications from today's music does to the hearers!

I Corinthians 15:33 - Be not deceived: evil communications corrupt good manners.

The importance of Philippians 4:8,9 when it comes to music.

Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you.

Other thoughts and teachings & comments:

Hillbilly and C&W and all the gospel styles... - does God approve?

Does approve of any music?
Does God even care about music?

Is Southern Gospel music wrong? "Do you think it is? Serious?"

"You gotta be kidding - that's the South, man - that is God's country - the Bible Belt, etc."

Traveling KJB families and their family music performances and traveling road shows.

Music 'ministry'?

healings?
comforting?
cleansings?
emotional encouragement?

witness tool?
pay for dad's evangelistic ministry?

tool for false doctrine being subtly brought into our KJB churches

our hymns have segments and verses that are just plain false gospel

modern romance songs and love

humanistic love towards the lost
modern "spiritual songs" that are syrupy, fleshy, and highlight evil, not good
doctrinal false teachings

The language of music itself

a whole life can be given to studying of the music of Japheth

but well worth the time!

the universal voice of music

the devil knows how to use it!

he is a musician - See Ezekiel 28:13

Ever wondered?

Ever thought about why music is so EVERYWHERE today?
Ever thought about why Shem and Ham music is ALL that we hear today?
Ever thought of why kids have NO teaching of music other than electronic and movie sound effects?
Ever thought of why music is in ALL kids bible programs, videos, etc.
Ever notice the the music today is all beat - rhythm - or don't you even know what that means?
Ever thought about just how dangerous music is to YOUR kids? Yourself?
May I suggest, that as a parent, you think about these things!

Pastors!

May I also suggest that as a pastor, if you truly care for your folks and not just church attendance and gain, etc., you would research this music stuff, get the preaching and teaching going ASAP.
It could destroy your church concerning truth.

You may grow in size, but you will be guilty of apostasy!

thinking that gain is godliness!
look around - it is happening to the 'best' of the KJB'ers!
