Reaching Forth unto Those Things Which Are Before
Colossians 3:1-4 - If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God. Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth. For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God. When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory.

This all has to do with following Paul, of course - not the typical stuff heard in pulpits all across America as well as in more and more of our own churches ...  MONEY and Fleshly Pleasures!

What are some of those things which are before:
rapture?
'see' more
    in politics
    in religion
    in education
better understanding
some more folks 'get a grip' on rightly dividing
    family
    friends
    grads, etc.
    missionaries
relationships improving
doing better in walk according to I Thessalonians 4:1, etc.
living the risen life?  II Corinthians 4:10
more Glory to God
more kids?
more grand kids?
people move here?

rougher times
    more to be perplexed about, but not in despair - how about that!
    more troubling times, but not to be distressed about it all - how about that!
less and less KJB!
church competition and challenges on your 'ashamedness!'
pleasures costing more $$ - making less $$$!
will need more and more tough love!
brethren will be even harder on us and Paul's teachings!
less concentration on 'happy' - 'pleasures' - more on God and things above!
less being 'their song' - 'their music' - Job 30:9; Lamentations 3:64; 3:14
your hour may strike - but you could be ok with it!  - willing to give it to God's glory!

This desire in this verse CAN actually be reached today - it is through an honest and truthful salvation - See Ephesians 1:12,13
