The
entire King James Bible is written FOR us, but it is not all written TO
us!
We
learn from the "For" and study Paul's writings to apply the 'TO!"

Part II
But
none of these things move me, neither count I my life dear unto myself,
so that
I might finish my course with joy, and the ministry,
which
I have received of the Lord Jesus,
to testify
the gospel of the grace of God.
Acts 20:24
Sincere Christians
/ Fathers / Parents
This is a great practical
series for parenting about kids who aren't with the home program!
Love abounds more and more in
knowledge and all judgment!
-
and without offence!
-
(More than just a "serious"
Christian)
-
Philippians
1:9,10 - And this I pray, that your love
may abound yet more and more in knowledge and in all judgment; That ye
may approve things that are excellent; that ye may be sincere and without
offence till the day of Christ;
A
Sincere Christian is one who...
Acts 28:30
- And Paul dwelt two whole years in his
own hired house, and received all that came in unto him,
-
Is willing to
go to Paul himself!
Fully know
Paul's ...
II Timothy
3:10,11 - But thou hast fully known
my doctrine, manner of life, purpose, faith, longsuffering, charity, patience,
Persecutions, afflictions, which came unto me at Antioch, at Iconium, at
Lystra; what persecutions I endured: but out of them all the Lord delivered
me.

Following Paul's pattern of mercy
and longsuffering
I Timothy
1:16 - Howbeit for this cause I
obtained mercy, that in me first Jesus Christ might shew forth all longsuffering,
for a pattern to them which should hereafter believe on him to life everlasting.
Receiving his doings from Paul...
Philippians
4:9 - Those things, which ye have
both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God
of peace shall be with you.

Leans his life towards Paul
II Corinthians
7:7 - And not by his coming only, but by
the consolation wherewith he was comforted in you, when he told us your
earnest desire, your mourning, your fervent mind toward me; so that I rejoiced
the more.
-
earnest desire towards Paul
-
mourning towards Paul
-
fervent mind towards Paul
Believes in what Paul says "his
way" is to be:
-
A more excellent way!
-
The way of God more perfectly!
-
How not to be beguiled through the devils
subtilty towards the antichrist...
Believes Paul received it all from
the risen Jesus Christ personally and face to face!
-
Acts 26:16
-
But rise, and stand upon thy feet: for
I have appeared unto thee for this purpose, to make thee a minister and
a witness both of these things which thou hast seen, and of those things
in the which I will appear unto thee;
-
Galatians 1:11,12
-
But I certify you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached of me is
not after man. For I neither received it of man, neither was I taught it,
but by the revelation of Jesus Christ.
-
Ephesians 3:1-6
-
For this cause I Paul, the prisoner of Jesus Christ for you Gentiles, If
ye have heard of the dispensation of the grace of God which is given me
to you-ward: How that by revelation he made known unto me the mystery;
(as I wrote afore in few words, Whereby, when ye read, ye may understand
my knowledge in the mystery of Christ) Which in other ages was not made
known unto the sons of men, as it is now revealed unto his holy apostles
and prophets by the Spirit; That the Gentiles should be fellowheirs, and
of the same body, and partakers of his promise in Christ by the gospel:
-
II Corinthians
12:1-7 - It is not expedient for me doubtless
to glory. I will come to visions and revelations of the Lord. I knew a
man in Christ above fourteen years ago, (whether in the body, I cannot
tell; or whether out of the body, I cannot tell: God knoweth;) such an
one caught up to the third heaven. And I knew such a man, (whether in the
body, or out of the body, I cannot tell: God knoweth;) How that he was
caught up into paradise, and heard unspeakable words, which it is not lawful
for a man to utter. Of such an one will I glory: yet of myself I will not
glory, but in mine infirmities. For though I would desire to glory, I shall
not be a fool; for I will say the truth: but now I forbear, lest any man
should think of me above that which he seeth me to be, or that he heareth
of me. And lest I should be exalted above measure through the abundance
of the revelations, there was given to me a thorn in the flesh, the messenger
of Satan to buffet me, lest I should be exalted above measure.
-
This is all why
we believe that when we follow Paul...
-
we are following
the Risen Christ...
-
...not the earthly
Jesus' teachings to the Jews.
-
I Corinthians
11:1 -Be ye followers of me, even as I
also am of Christ.
Knows that in order to understand
the written Scriptures AFTER Paul is to understand rightly dividing the
word of truth!
-
I Corinthians
13:8-10 - Charity never faileth: but whether
there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall
cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away. For we know in
part, and we prophesy in part. But when that which is perfect is
come, then that which is in part shall be done away.
-
II Timothy
2:15 - Study to shew thyself approved
unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the
word of truth.
It is this SINCERE Christian who
gave Paul the joy that he talks about!
-
II Corinthians
2:3 - And I wrote this same unto you, lest,
when I came, I should have sorrow from them of whom I ought to rejoice;
having confidence in you all, that my joy is the joy of you all.
-
Philippians
2:2 - Fulfil ye my joy, that ye be likeminded,
having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind.
-
Philippians
4:1 - Therefore, my brethren dearly beloved
and longed for, my joy and crown, so stand fast in the Lord, my dearly
beloved.
OK, SO WHAT
ABOUT THOSE WHO DID NOT FOLLOW PAUL?
Yes, you know some of them quiet
well, actually!
These are the ones who have not allowed
Paul's teachings, etc. be allowed to enter into themselves.
-
I Thessalonians
1:8-10 - For from you sounded out
the word of the Lord not only in Macedonia and Achaia, but also in every
place your faith to God-ward is spread abroad; so that we need not to speak
any thing. For they themselves shew of us what manner of entering in we
had unto you, and how ye turned to God from idols to serve the living and
true God; And to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the
dead, even Jesus, which delivered us from the wrath to come.
These are the ones who have not allowed
the word of the Lord to have free course.
-
Thessalonians
3:1 - Finally, brethren, pray for us, that
the word of the Lord may have free course, and be glorified, even as it
is with you:
These are the ones who didn't sorrow
to repentance - they allowed themselves to be damaged by Paul's preaching!
-
II Corinthians
7:9,10 - Now I rejoice, not that
ye were made sorry, but that ye sorrowed to repentance: for ye were made
sorry after a godly manner, that ye might receive damage by us in nothing.
For godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation not to be repented of:
but the sorrow of the world worketh death.
These are the
ones who, with the seed...
-
Never acted on
it spiritually!
-
Luke 8:12 -
Those
by the way side are they that hear; then cometh the devil, and taketh away
the word out of their hearts, lest they should believe and be saved.
-
Never allowed
it to take root!
-
Luke 8:13 -
They
on the rock are they, which, when they hear, receive the word with joy;
and these have no root, which for a while believe, and in time of temptation
fall away.
-
Choked by the
world!
-
Luke 8:14 -
And
that which fell among thorns are they, which, when they have heard, go
forth, and are choked with cares and riches and pleasures of this life,
and bring no fruit to perfection.
These are the ones who are headed to
the antichrist or at least following the folly of today's modern powerless
Christianity ( and has nobody willing to listen to their
own testimony, let alone try to learn from it!!)
-
II Corinthians
11:1-4 - Would to God ye could bear with
me a little in my folly: and indeed bear with me. For I am jealous over
you with godly jealousy: for I have espoused you to one husband, that I
may present you as a chaste virgin to Christ. But I fear, lest by any means,
as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should
be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ. For if he that cometh
preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another
spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not
accepted, ye might well bear with him.
-
Galatians 1:6-8
-
I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the
grace of Christ unto another gospel: Which is not another; but there be
some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ. But though
we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that
which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.
-
II Timothy
3:9 - But they shall proceed no further:
for their folly shall be manifest unto all men, as theirs also was.
-
II Timothy
3:5 - Having a form of godliness, but denying
the power thereof
SO, FOR THOSE
WHO DID NOT FOLLOW PAUL...
What did Paul do?
He did not lose his joy through his
life and ministry!
But
none of these things move me, neither count I my life dear unto myself,
so that
I might finish my course with joy, and the ministry,
which
I have received of the Lord Jesus,
to testify
the gospel of the grace of God.
Acts 20:24
He didn't give
up!
For
I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand.
I have
fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith:

1:4
Paul knew who & why to avoid,
to withdraw himself from, neither give heed, purge, not to be partakers
with, etc.
AVOID
-
Romans 16:17
- Now I beseech you, brethren, mark
them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which
ye have learned; and avoid them.
-
I Timothy 6:20
- O Timothy, keep that which is committed
to thy trust, avoiding profane and vain babblings, and oppositions of science
falsely so called:
-
II Timothy
2:16 - But shun profane and vain babblings:
for they will increase unto more ungodliness.
-
II Timothy
2:23 - But foolish and unlearned
questions avoid, knowing that they do gender strifes.
-
Titus 3:9-11
- But avoid foolish questions, and genealogies,
and contentions, and strivings about the law; for they are unprofitable
and vain. A man that is an heretick after the first and second admonition
reject; Knowing that he that is such is subverted, and sinneth, being condemned
of himself.
FROM SUCH
-
I Timothy 6:5
- Perverse disputings of men of corrupt
minds, and destitute of the truth, supposing that gain is godliness: from
such withdraw thyself.
-
II Timothy
3:5 - Having a form of godliness, but denying
the power thereof: from such turn away.
NOT TO STRIVE
WITH THEM
-
II Timothy
2:24 - And the servant of the Lord must
not strive; but be gentle unto all men, apt to teach, patient,
-
II Timothy
2:14 - Of these things put them in remembrance,
charging them before the Lord that they strive not about words to no profit,
but to the subverting of the hearers.
NEITHER GIVE
HEED
-
I Timothy 1:4
- Neither give heed to fables and
endless genealogies, which minister questions, rather than godly edifying
which is in faith: so do.
PURGE
-
I Corinthians
5:7 - Purge out therefore the old leaven,
that ye may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened. For even Christ our passover
is sacrificed for us:
-
II Timothy
2:20, 21 - But in a great house there are
not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of earth;
and some to honour, and some to dishonour. If a man therefore purge himself
from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for
the master's use, and prepared unto every good work.
BE NOT PARTAKERS
Ephesians
5:6-11 - Let no man deceive you with
vain words: for because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the
children of disobedience. Be not ye therefore partakers with them. For
ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children
of light: (For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness
and truth;) Proving what is acceptable unto the Lord. And have no fellowship
with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.
Paul knew what to do if they were
totally uninterested!
-
Hereticks
-
Titus 3:10
- A man that is an heretick after the first
and second admonition reject;
-
Acts 13:50,51
- But the Jews stirred up the devout and honourable women, and the chief
men of the city, and raised persecution against Paul and Barnabas, and
expelled them out of their coasts. But they shook off the dust of their
feet against them, and came unto Iconium.
-
Ship them off to the god of this world!
-
If they are dangerous to his cause;
to themselves as well as to others and are not willing to 'change!
-
I Corinthians
5:5 - To deliver such an one unto Satan
for the destruction of the flesh, that the spirit may be saved in the day
of the Lord Jesus.
-
I Timothy 1:20
- Of whom is Hymenaeus and Alexander; whom
I have delivered unto Satan, that they may learn not to blaspheme.
-
We can't do it
for them!
-
II Timothy
2:26 - And that they may recover themselves
out of the snare of the devil, who are taken captive by him at his will.
Do something about it according to
Christ - today, the KJB!
-
No magic Jesus - we must take this book,
read it and respond to his words TO us!
-
No 'religion' or 'denomination' should
buy you off!
-
Ephesians 4:17-24
-
Galatians 2:20
- I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless
I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live
in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave
himself for me.
-
Not a blind faith nor is it a magic
Jesus - we have the Bible today.
-
Not just book, chapter and verse - but
knowledge AND understanding AND wisdom to do something about the situation!
-
Always has been, always will be...
-
Psalm 119:105
- Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and
a light unto my path.
