A Mature Prayer Life

Part II

Paul's specific prayer requests for us!
Here is how we can pray for each other / family / friends, etc.!

Romans 15:13 - Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost.
I Corinthians 1:3-7 ... Grace be unto you, and peace, from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ. I thank my God always on your behalf, for the grace of God which is given you by Jesus Christ; That in every thing ye are enriched by him, in all utterance, and in all knowledge; Even as the testimony of Christ was confirmed in you: So that ye come behind in no gift; waiting for the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ:
II Corinthians 1:7... And our hope of you is stedfast, knowing, that as ye are partakers of the sufferings, so shall ye be also of the consolation.
Ephesians 1:16-20 ... Cease not to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers; That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him: The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints, And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power, Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places,
Ephesians 3:14-19 ...For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, Of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named, That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man; That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love, May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height; And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God.
Philippians 1:9-11 ... And this I pray, that your love may abound yet more and more in knowledge and in all judgment; That ye may approve things that are excellent; that ye may be sincere and without offence till the day of Christ; Being filled with the fruits of righteousness, which are by Jesus Christ, unto the glory and praise of God.
Colossians 1:9-12 ... For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding; That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God; Strengthened with all might, according to his glorious power, unto all patience and longsuffering with joyfulness; Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light:
Colossians 1:25-29 - Whereof I am made a minister, according to the dispensation of God which is given to me for you, to fulfil the word of God; Even the mystery which hath been hid from ages and from generations, but now is made manifest to his saints: To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory: Whom we preach, warning every man, and teaching every man in all wisdom; that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus: Whereunto I also labour, striving according to his working, which worketh in me mightily.
Colossians 4:12 ... Epaphras, who is one of you, a servant of Christ, saluteth you, always labouring fervently for you in prayers, that ye may stand perfect and complete in all the will of God.
I Thessalonians 1:2-10 - vs 3 - Remembering without ceasing your work of faith, and labour of love, and patience of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ, in the sight of God and our Father;
I Thessalonians 3:10 ... Night and day praying exceedingly that we might see your face, and might perfect that which is lacking in your faith?
II Thessalonians 1:11,12 ... Wherefore also we pray always for you, that our God would count you worthy of this calling, and fulfil all the good pleasure of his goodness, and the work of faith with power: That the name of our Lord Jesus Christ may be glorified in you, and ye in him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ.
I Timothy 2:1-3 ...I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour;

Review: Paul prays for us!
We can pray for others in the same manner!

For their joy and peace in believing,
that they may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost.

Thank him:
...for the grace which is given to the...!
...in everything they would be enriched by him in all utterance and in all knowledge!
...the testimony of Christ was confirmed in them
Ye come behind in no gift!

Be partaker of His sufferings AND ALSO of the consolation!

God would give unto them the spirit of wisdom in the knowledge of Him!
God would give unto them the spirit of revelation in the knowledge of Him!
The eyes of their understanding being enlightened!
Know what is the hope of his calling!
Know what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints!
Know what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe!

To be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man
Christ may dwell in their hearts by faith!
They would be rooted and grounded in love!
Be able to comprehend what is the breadth, length, depth, height of the love of Christ!
To know the love of Christ
Be filled with all the fulness of God!

Their love may abound yet more and more in knowledge!
Their love may abound yet more and more in all judgment!
Approve all things that are excellent!
Them to be sincere and without offence till the day of Christ!
Be filled with the fruits of righteousness!

Be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding
Walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing!
Being fruitful in every good work
Increasing in the knowledge of God!
Strengthened with all might, according to his glorious power unto all patience and longsuffering with joyfulness!
Give thanks that we all are meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light

make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles...
...which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:
They being willing to grow towards being perfect in Christ Jesus:

Stand perfect and complete in all the will of God!

For their work of faith, and labour of love, and patience of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ,

To see their face being made available to hear the Risen Saviour through Paul's stuff!!
Perfect that which is lacking in your faith!

Their whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ!

God would count them worthy of this calling!
God would fulfil all the good pleasure of His goodness
Fulfil the work of faith with power!
The name of our Lord Jesus Christ may be glorified in them and them in him!

They may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty!

How can folks get mad at Paul? But they do!
How can folks get mad at their pastor if these are what his prayers and goals are? But they do!
How can kids be mad at their parents if they have prayed and tried to follow up with action, guidance and teaching? But they do!

In fact, Christ can do even exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think... Ephesians 3:20,21 - Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us, Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen. So why not set aside some time and
concentrate on a serious and mature prayer life!
