Magnify: To make great in representation; to extol; to exalt
in description or praise.
To extol; to exalt; to elevate; to raise in estimation.
Do we make too much of the King James Bible?
or
Do others just make too much against the King James Bible?
When people think of you, do they think of:
family / financial status / your vehicle / your house / your beauty
(or lack of it) / your pets / your children / your job / your nose / your
education / your temper / your sickness and troubles / loneliness / aches
and pains / relatives / your great weight loss / gain - haha / your garden
/ music / vacations / your newest thing that you bought that everyone should
also have / your church / your religion / your denomination / or do they
think of the KJB that you always talk about?
What is it that you magnify in your life?
The bragging "doer!"
Do you take the credit for what 'the maker' did? Do you brag
on the increase? Pride?
Isaiah 10:15: Shall
the axe boast itself against him that heweth therewith? or shall
the saw magnify itself against him that shaketh it? as if the rod
should shake itself against them that lift it up, or as if the staff should
lift up itself, as if it were no wood.
Any increase in number... it must be you... aren't you great!
(especially since these are the days of apostasy - you even say so yourself!)
Mary magnified the Lord!
That ought to surprise the Catholics, eh!
Luke 1:46,47 - And
Mary said, My soul doth magnify the Lord, And my spirit hath rejoiced in
God my Saviour.

Lamentations 1:8,9 - Jerusalem
hath grievously sinned; therefore she is removed: all that honoured her
despise her, because they have seen her nakedness: yea, she sigheth, and
turneth backward. Her filthiness is in her skirts; she remembereth
not her last end; therefore she came down wonderfully: she had no comforter.
O LORD, behold my affliction: for the enemy hath magnified himself.
See Romans
11:25; 28; 30,31

hurt: let them be clothed with shame and dishonour that magnify themselves
against me.
Psalm 38:16 - For
I said, Hear me, lest otherwise they should rejoice over me: when my foot
slippeth, they magnify themselves against me.
Jeremiah 18:18 - Then
said they, Come, and let us devise devices against Jeremiah; for the law
shall not perish from the priest, nor counsel from the wise, nor the word
from the prophet. Come, and let us smite him with the tongue, and
let us not give heed to any of his words.
Nehemiah 1-6 -
Sanballat and Tobiah; 2:10
- When Sanballat the Horonite, and Tobiah
the servant, the Ammonite, heard of it, it grieved them exceedingly that
there was come a man to seek the welfare of the children of Israel.

A friend magnifies himself against you!
Psalm 55:12-14 - For
it was not an enemy that reproached me; then I could have borne it: neither
was it he that hated me that did magnify himself against me; then I would
have hid myself from him: But it was thou, a man mine equal, my guide,
and mine acquaintance. We took sweet counsel together, and walked
unto the house of God in company.

you, brethren, to know them which labour among you, and are over you in

for their work's sake. And be at peace among yourselves.

Latter times heading towards last days
warnings
- good words; fair speeches
deceive the hearts of the simple; speaking great swelling words of vanity;
vain words; sleight of men and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in
wait to deceive; enticing words of man's wisdom;
Jude 16b
- having men's persons in admiration because of advantage... (closer
and closer to being the main source for all!)

and make it honourable.

shall we say then? Is the law sin? God forbid. Nay, I had not known sin,

shalt not covet.
Great Commission folks vs Greater Commission
from Paul!
It does have a lawful purpose: I
Timothy 1:8-11 But
we know that the law is good, if a man use it lawfully; Knowing this, that
the law is not made for a righteous man, but for the lawless and disobedient,
for the ungodly and for sinners, for unholy and profane, for murderers
of fathers and murderers of mothers, for manslayers, For whoremongers,
for them that defile themselves with mankind, for menstealers, for liars,
for perjured persons, and if there be any other thing that is contrary
to sound doctrine; According to the glorious gospel of the blessed God,
which was committed to my trust.
But not to us, if saved! Galatians
2:19 - For I through the law am dead to
the law, that I might live unto God.
Life or Death of Christ magnified in my body?
Philippians 1:20 -
According to my earnest expectation and my hope, that in nothing I shall
be ashamed, but that with all boldness, as always, so now also Christ shall
be magnified in my body, whether it be by life, or by death.
You might even be thinking EVERYTHING/EVERYONE is magnified against
you?
Job 19:1-6 - Then
Job answered and said, How long will ye vex my soul, and break me
in pieces with words? These ten times have ye reproached me: ye are
not ashamed that ye make yourselves strange to me. And be it indeed
that I have erred, mine error remaineth with myself. If indeed ye
will magnify yourselves against me, and plead against me my reproach:
Know now that God hath overthrown me, and hath compassed me with his net.
Your Flesh?
Colossians 2:11-16-
you are cut away from your flesh, but what do you feed the most?
Mind? Spirit? Flesh?
Romans 7:15-23 -
For that which I do I allow not: for what I would, that do I not; but what
I hate, that do I. If then I do that which I would not, I consent
unto the law that it is good. Now then it is no more I that do it,
but sin that dwelleth in me. For I know that in me (that is, in my
flesh,) dwelleth no good thing: for to will is present with me; but how
to perform that which is good I find not. For the good that I would
I do not: but the evil which I would not, that I do. Now if I do
that I would not, it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in
me. I find then a law, that, when I would do good, evil is present
with me. For I delight in the law of God after the inward man:
But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind,
and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members.
Romans 13:14:
But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh,
to fulfil the lusts thereof.
The flesh gets it's PR time in the Tribulation
when the Spirit of God comes upon all flesh -
Acts
2:17 - And it shall come to pass in the
last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and
your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see
visions, and your old men shall dream dreams:
The Spirit of God?
It was never to be magnified, still isn't and never will be!
That is old fashioned Pentecostal hooplah and a modern Christianity
lie!
Yes, we are to walk in the Spirit but not glorify it - nor magnify
it - nor even talk for it!
John 14:26 -
But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in
my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance,
whatsoever
I have said unto you.
John 16:13,14 -
Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all
truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall
hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.
He
shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall shew it unto
you.
The Spirit of truth went right on to the word of truth in Paul's
writings and into the King James Bible - But
when that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be
done away.
I will worship toward thy holy temple,
and praise thy name for thy lovingkindness
and for thy truth:
for thou hast magnified thy word above
all thy name.

Hear; for I will speak of excellent things;
and the opening of my lips shall be right
things.
For my mouth shall speak truth;
and wickedness is an abomination to my
lips.
All the words of my mouth are in righteousness;
there is nothing froward or perverse in
them.
They are all plain to him that understandeth,
and right to them that find knowledge.
Proverbs 8:6-8
Every word of God is pure: he is a shield
unto them that put their trust in him.
Proverbs 30:5

in pictures of silver.
Proverbs 25:11
No, I don't make too much of this Bible!
Folks just make too much against it!
