LEST, con. That not; for fear that.
The phrase may be thus explained. Ye shall not touch it; that separated or dismissed, ye die. That here refers to the preceding command or sentence; that being removed or not observed, the fact being not so, ye will die.
Sin no more, lest a worse thing come to thee. John 5.
Sin no more; that fact not taking place, a worse thing will happen to thee.

We have seen in Paul's way of God more perfectly ministry that God will not 'git us' today.
II Timothy 3:16 reminds us that yes, he will tell us correct doctrine, and he will do it with reproof, and he will correct us, and he will instruct us in righteousness - but He will not 'git' us.

If you do not understand that statement yet, then may I suggest you listen and read Truth or Consequences.

But tonight, we will look into 'consequences' in far more detail:
what can be results of our daily actions if they are not 'right?'

It is not God's judgment - nor is it God's wrath!
Nor is it God's chastisement - Hebrews 12:6 nor is it Revelation 3:19.
Christ paid for all of our physical chastisement!
He took upon Himself the wrath of God's that was meant for us!

However, don't forget ... we can still reap what we sow!

Review of I, II, III

Lest ye ...

should fall (being prideful)
be wise in our own conceit (ignorant towards Israel and our salvation, etc.)
overtaken in our own faults (after not restoring another in his fault)
lose our joy as a Christian (because of someone else saying something wrong or doing something to you or needing some tough correction that affects the others s well)
be destroyed by guilt, etc. (because of the preaching - along with not reading your KJB during the week)
be corrupted in our minds from the simplicity that is in Christ (by subtilty of the devil)
be beguiled (with enticing words of man's wisdom)
be spoiled through philosophy and vain deceit (following after traditions of men and rudiments of the world)
make the cross of Christ of none effect (through wisdom of words - godliness without the power thereof...)
cause someone else to stumble (by your own liberty in Christ)
discourage your children (provoke them to anger)
offend a brother... (abusing your liberty)
...hinder the gospel of Christ... (offend a brother)
...become a castaway (not bring your body into subjection)

Philippians 2:24-30

Example of asking for God's mercy in prayer!
Prevent sorrow over sorrow!

II.
II Corinthians 12:6,7 - For though I would desire to glory, I shall not be a fool; for I will say the truth: but now I forbear, lest any man should think of me above that which he seeth me to be, or that he heareth of me. And lest I should be exalted above measure through the abundance of the revelations, there was given to me a thorn in the flesh, the messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I should be exalted above measure.

Glory too much about what you have learned from the Book!
Be thought of more than what you are!
Be exalted above measure through the abundance of what you have learned from and about the KJB!
I Timothy 3:6,7

Fall into the condemnation of the devil!
Fall into reproach and the snare of the devil!

III.
Galatians 2:2 - And I went up by revelation, and communicated unto them that gospel which I preach among the Gentiles, but privately to them which were of reputation, lest by any means I should run, or had run, in vain.
Galatians 4:11 - I am afraid of you, lest I have bestowed upon you labour in vain.
I Thessalonians 3:5 - For this cause, when I could no longer forbear, I sent to know your faith, lest by some means the tempter have tempted you, and our labour be in vain.

Do our witnessing and personal testimony in vain!
(Not because of what WE don't get done and see our efforts wasted, but concerned that others don't get what you are trying to show them! See II Timothy 2:24,25 - they still have to make the decisions and put them into action!)
