The
entire King James Bible is written FOR us, but it is not all written TO
us!
We

What have we / our children learned?
What are we / our children learning?
Have we / learned how to learn?
Are we teaching our children how to learn?
(or just to 'do?' - if even that...)
Poll Quotes - for what they are worth, anyway...
-
Reading: of books, newspapers and magazines -- is on the decline.
A 2007 study even found that 80 percent of AMerican families did not buy
or read a book in 2006.
-
Attention spans are declining; Jacoby suggests this is due to television
and videos. For instance, between 1968-1988, the average sound bite
on the news for a presidential candidate dropped from 42.3 seconds to 9.8.
By 2000, according to a Harvard study, the daily candidate bite was down
to just 7.8 seconds. (maybe that is also because
they have nothing to say these days.)
Are we / children learning these things instead?
-
Deuteronomy 18:9 - abomination
-
Psalm 106:35 - their works
-
Jeremiah 10:2 - way of the heathen

and a man of understanding shall attain unto wise counsels:
Proverbs 9:9
Give instruction to a wise man, and he
will be yet wiser: teach a just man, and he will increase in learning.
Proverbs 16:23
The heart of the wise teacheth his mouth,
and addeth learning to his lips.
