Learn, Increase, Grow

Here is a quick outline and reference listing from the audio sermon.

At the beginning

Acts 9:17-22 - Paul learned right away - gained in strength and went out to witness to folks.  The first thing that he had to learn was that Jesus was the Christ - the son of God, etc.  He learned that from the disciples, but do we have to go to the disciples to learn that?  No - Paul preaches and teaches that himself in his own writings. So, we must find our foundation through Paul's teachings.  However, we can still learn about Jesus as we read the gospels ourselves.

I Corinthians 3:6,7
God gives the increase

I Thessalonians 3 - lacking faith?  Even though it is his faith that we live on, we still have a faith of our own that needs to grow and strengthen.

II Corinthians 10:7-8 - faith

Colossians 2:16; Ephesians 4:16 - increase of the body of edifying of itself in love (not gain).

Learn

Acts 26:24 - Makes us look like we are mad in the eyes of others?

II Timothy 3:7; Daniel 12:4 - lots of learning going on today, but is it the correct learning?

Romans 15:4 - even though the whole Bible is not all to us, it is all FOR us!  We can have hope from reading the entire bible!

Romans 16:17 - avoid those contrary to your learning!
Ephesians 4:20 - is what you are learning from the Risen Christ?

I Corinthians 13:23,24 - a) unbelievers; b) unlearned

We must learn from Paul - Philippians 4:9
We must learn to maintain good works - Titus 3:14

We shall grow!

Ephesians 2:19-22
Ephesians 4:12-16

The entire King James Bible is written FOR us, but it is not all written TO us!
We learn from the "For" and we try to apply the 'TO!"
