you must check these references in a King James 1611 Bible!

If We Don't Heed Paul!
Part III
What Keeps Us from Heeding Paul?
Part I - Outline given in Sunday School audio
Click here for part II - Sunday am service

The outline from the sermon:

From being lost to being saved!
From darkness to light!
From Power of Satan unto God!
Acts 26:18 - To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me.
We are not the power of God - and we don't have a 'mystical' power in us that we can 'use' as they did in the days before the KJB.  See I Corinthians 13:10!

Because Christ LIVED unto God, we are ALIVE unto God!
Romans 6:10 -  For in that he died, he died unto sin once: but in that he liveth, he liveth unto God.   Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Galatians 2:19 - For I through the law am dead to the law, that I might live unto God.

Sweet Savour
II Corinthians 2:14-17 - Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ, and maketh manifest the savour of his knowledge by us in every place. For we are unto God a sweet savour of Christ, in them that are saved, and in them that perish:  To the one we are the savour of death unto death; and to the other the savour of life unto life. And who is sufficient for these things?  For we are not as many, which corrupt the word of God: but as of sincerity, but as of God, in the sight of God speak we in Christ.

Speak we in Christ through the 1611 King James Bible!  I Corinthians 13:10!

Would We Want It Any Other Way?

...after all...

We belong to Him now!
(We didn't before saved - See Ephesians 2:11-18; Colossians 1:19-22)
Romans 14:7,8 - For none of us liveth to himself, and no man dieth to himself. For whether we live, we live unto the Lord; and whether we die, we die unto the Lord: whether we live therefore, or die, we are the Lord's.
I Corinthians 6:19,20 - What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.

As Paul was, we are to be separated unto His gospel!
Romans 1:1-6 - Paul, a servant of Jesus Christ, called to be an apostle, separated unto the gospel of God,  (Which he had promised afore by his prophets in the holy scriptures,) Concerning his Son Jesus Christ our Lord, which was made of the seed of David according to the flesh;  And declared to be the Son of God with power, according to the spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead:  By whom we have received grace and apostleship, for obedience to the faith among all nations, for his name:  Among whom are ye also the called of Jesus Christ:

Our life furthers the gospel - one way or another!
Philippians 1:12 - But I would ye should understand, brethren, that the things which happened unto me have fallen out rather unto the furtherance of the gospel;
Either way - by us being either a good example or a bad example, the Book knows it all!  Hebrews 4:12,13 - For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.  Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight: but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do.

What Would Cause Us To Not Follow Paul?
Why does it seem so hard for folks?
Remember - we are not talking about following the 'law' i.e. the 'walk of Jesus' as taught in the gospels!

We are talking about following Paul!
Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do:
and the God of peace shall be with you.
Philippians 4:9

1.  Some folks live a life like a canker sore - They do not shun...
II Timothy 2:16,17 - But shun profane and vain babblings: for they will increase unto more ungodliness.  And their word will eat as doth a canker: of whom is Hymenaeus and Philetus;
What are profane and vain babblings?  NOT rightly dividing!  verse 15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
But... we here in Touchet and the web family have learned about rightly dividing the word of truth!  We are 'trying' to shun those profane and vain babblings, amen!  We are trying!

2.  Some folks continue to take a wrong turn!
II Timothy 4:4 - And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.
We are trying more and more to turn our ears to the truth - the King James Bible - rightly divided - Paul - preaching - teaching - reading, etc.
We may not be young, but we would like to live like we are... I Timothy 4:12,13 - Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity. Till I come, give attendance to reading, to exhortation, to doctrine.

3.  Some still love this present world!
II Timothy 4:10a For Demas hath forsaken me, having loved this present world, ...
Note:  Demas finally followed Paul! See Philemon 1:24
Galatians 5:1 - Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.
II Timothy 2:4 - No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life; that he may please him who hath chosen him to be a soldier.
Colossians 3:1-3 - If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God. Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth. For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God.

Bunny trail:  note the tribulation application of this classic verse and how it is still different than from us today!  II Peter 2:20 - For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning.
Worse than when we were lost?  See Ephesians 2:11-18, Colossians 1:19-22
4.  Some have swerved aside!
I Timothy 1:5-6 - Now the end of the commandment is charity out of a pure heart, and of a good conscience, and of faith unfeigned:  From which some having swerved have turned aside unto vain jangling;  Desiring to be teachers of the law; understanding neither what they say, nor whereof they affirm.
II Timothy 3:13 - But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.

5.  Some have given up!
Ephesians 4:19 - Who being past feeling have given themselves over unto lasciviousness, to work all uncleanness with greediness.
Lasciviousness -  Looseness; irregular indulgence of animal desires; wantonness; lustfulness.  Tendency to excite lust, and promote irregular indulgences.

The walk of many Bible Believing Christians still denies the rightly divided truth today - Paul!
Titus 1:16 - They profess that they know God; but in works they deny him, being abominable, and disobedient, and unto every good work reprobate.

How does that happen if the person is saved?

A defiled mind and conscience!
See the verse before... Titus 1:15 - Unto the pure all things are pure: but unto them that are defiled and unbelieving is nothing pure; but even their mind and conscience is defiled.
By not reading the KJB, our mind stays thinking OUR way instead of His!
Psalm 10:4: The wicked, through the pride of his countenance, will not seek after God: God is not in all his thoughts.
Isaiah 55:8: For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD.

In order to be after God, you must be in the Book!

Ephesians 4:17-24 - This I say therefore, and testify in the Lord, that ye henceforth walk not as other Gentiles walk, in the vanity of their mind, Having the understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God through the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart:  Who being past feeling have given themselves over unto lasciviousness, to work all uncleanness with greediness. But ye have not so learned Christ;  If so be that ye have heard him, and have been taught by him, as the truth is in Jesus: That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts;  And be renewed in the spirit of your mind;  And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.

Some folks just plain miss the reading, preaching / teaching, etc. and the hearing of the word of God!
Ephesians 4:14 - That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;

faith cometh by hearing... Romans 10:17
famine of hearing the words of the Lord - Amos 8:11-13

Christians are not in the KJB enough
to make them want to change their life...
-TO LIVE UNTO GOD -
!
Instead - they live unto themselves - unto another preacher - the world, etc.
And they have no power in their lives...
(hmmm - seems like a segue into the next sermon, eh!)

Bonus Comments

From Pastor Mike to someone who would rather just 'read' these notes instead of hearing them preached 'live.'

I know exactly why you don't want to 'hear' this sermon preached - because you are ignoring what you REALLY should do in your life.  You do know that this sermon would benefit you personally but you do not really want to do anything to change your life.  You think you have your life in total control.  You probably even think your life is one that does please God - as IF you even care to please anyone other than yourself.

In this sermon, you will find out that:

1.  Your life is a giant canker sore - but you won't do anything about it!
2.  You have made some wrong turns in your life, but you won't admit it - and you won't get back on the right road!
3.  You are still in love with this present world - you are a modern day Demas!
4.  You have swerved aside from the truth and are following unto vain jangling!
5.  No matter how much you 'pretend' to be interested in spiritual things, you truthfully have given up and have chosen to follow your flesh - but you won't be honest with others around you.  You want to still use them to 'better' your own life.
5.  You are not reading your Bible enough to make matters right anyway - so your mind and conscience are still defiled.  Thus you have no clue that your life is nothing but a giant canker sore for you as well as those around you.
6.  Your phone call to the preacher was just a short-lived 'pretend' to want to straighten out your life.  Your girlfriend is more important to you than the truth in your life - your flesh is happier with her than your heart is towards God and your future family!

Now, if you want, go ahead and keep reading these notes only.  You just read a pre-summary of the stuff that is in this particular sermon - a sermon that you are too afraid to listen to.  You don't think God has you pegged?  Hey, those people in your life even have you pegged - and so do I!

You are living unto yourself - not God!  Look around you - haven't you learned enough from the significant 'others' in your life and how their life is a disaster.  Yours is headed the same way - and a 'real man' would guide his 'girl,' not follow her!  You are no different than the rest - and your life will show it.  It will.  It really will!
