No more death
and there shall be no
more death,

Death is separation
and separation seems like death!
Death never
means 'annihilation / no more existence!
Everyone else
"dies" except ourselves!
We go on into
eternity!
Four
Applications of Death in Bible terms.

Death

be dead,...
-
Romans 5:16b
- ... for the judgment was by one to condemnation...
-
Romans 5:17a

by one;...
-
Romans 5:18a

one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; ...
-

-
Ephesians 2:11,12
- Wherefore remember, that ye being
in time past Gentiles in the flesh, who are called Uncircumcision by that
which is called the Circumcision in the flesh made by hands; That at that
time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel,
and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without
God in the world:
-
Need to be quickened:
-
Ephesians 2:1

you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins;
-

quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;)

of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.

One more 'death.'
Death to the world - including our 'friends' if they don't follow Paul!
I Thessalonians 3:14,15
- And if any man obey not our word by this epistle, note that man, and
have no company with him, that he may be ashamed. Yet count him not as
an enemy, but admonish him as a brother.
They separated from God's people in the Gospels time - Luke
6:22.
Today, we are to separate ourselves from them and their worldly ways
according to Paul - II Corinthians 6:17
Still
coming: an increase of turbulent seas regarding deaths:
Separation
anxiety
Fear of loneliness
Loneliness
itself
Increase in
ungodliness
More abuse
of our liberty in Christ
Yea,
and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.
II Timothy
3:12
Have we settled on our lees?
-
Zepheniah 1:12 -
And it shall come to pass at that time, that I will search Jerusalem with
candles, and punish the men that are settled on their lees: that say in
their heart, The LORD will not do good, neither will he do evil.
-
lee - Literally, a calm or sheltered place, a
place defended from the wind;
Are we camping in the wrong creeks?
-
Acts 27:39 - And
when it was day, they knew not the land: but they discovered a certain
creek with a shore, into the which they were minded, if it were possible,
to thrust in the ship.
-
Where or 'to whom' do we turn unto for our 'safety
zone?'
-
How are we getting through these times?
