The
entire King James Bible is written FOR us, but it is not all written TO
us!
We
learn from the "For" and study Paul's writings to apply the 'TO!"

Part
IV
the former things
are passed away
But for now,
we are still in the sea...
but in a little
creek!
And I saw a new heaven
and a new earth:
for the first heaven and the first earth
were passed away;
and there was no more sea
Revelation 21:1

Why so many "Christians" are still miserable?
-
Affection in the wrong place...
-
We are still in the turbulent sea!
-
Life is a journey!
-
We will never stay as is!
-
get worse?
-
get better?
-
Some day, we will be off the sea and onto land!
-
Revelation 21... and
there was no more sea.
-
space sea? - earth sea? - maybe both?
-
The sea can be beautiful, majestic, sunsets, etc.
-
Mt:8:26: And he
saith unto them, Why are ye fearful, O ye of little faith? Then he arose,
and rebuked the winds and the sea; and there was a great calm.
-
And many folks are miserable, frustrated and disappointed
in that "Jesus doesn't calm their storm" magically - miraculously."
-
However, Scriptures often speak lesser of the sea.
-
Sea represents danger, peril and fear.
-
Noah
-
Red Sea
-
Jonah's experience
-
The sea is a symbol of endless distress, unrest,
agitation, and commotion.
-
It is restless - never completely still!
-
Isaiah 57:20,21 -
But
the wicked are like the troubled sea, when it cannot rest, whose waters
cast up mire and dirt. There is no peace, saith my God, to the wicked.
-
For the lost - why would a saved person be so troubled?
-
We all tend to try anything so we could stay where
the sea is calm, cozy, comfortable; however most folks yet conformable
to the philosophy and vain deceit, after
the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.
Colossians
2:8
-
The sea is still mysterious!
-
Lots of things not revealed yet!
-
God's ways are past find out:
Romans 11:33
-
Have we missed the boat?
-
No, we have been ON the boat too long already!
-
We are now finally trying to swim alone with some
direction from His proper correction!
-
II Timothy 3:16,17
- All scripture is given by inspiration
of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for
instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, throughly
furnished unto all good works.
-
We are still headed for land - only detours &
delays are created by ourselves!
-
Most are still on the boat and seem headed for a
shipwreck!
-
Learn from Paul - of course!
-
Acts 27
-
Some try to leave the ship too early and die - vs
30,31
-
There is a place to be safe...
vs 39
-
we can still be on the correct ship!
-
small little 'certain
creek'
Can we swim in this sea today
to the little creek...
as the ship is beginning to sink?
- vs 43,44
...or we can just sit and ride some
broken pieces of the ship!
