Greater Commission Certainly Does Involve Salvation
Salvation from Romans to Philemon

One of the standard questions/comments I receive as I 'introduce' folks to Paul's gospel and commission - a commission that I call the GreatER Commission - is "Don't you want to see souls saved?"

What a stupid thing to ask/comment!  Of course I want to see folks saved.  Whoever said I didn't!  However, we should also know that even the will of God the Father is more than just to see souls saved!  See John 6:39, 40.  To see IT raised up as well as HIM - that involves not only a soul but a walk as well.

We ought not be satisfied with soul winning - otherwise we end up with aborted Christians with no one to feed them what they need to be fed so that they grow upt to be Bible Believing Christians - not just more religious good-deed-doing church-goers!

Jesus time on earth was described in the gospels; they (the Jews) had to give it all up and follow Him as a nation for Him to be their Messiah.
For the Gentiles, Paul preaches the same message - to raise HIM up AND IT up - but in fact referring to our walk to please the Lord adn giving us many more details from Christ Himself on how to walk to please the Lord!

Trying to live "Jesus gospel" today leads folks to ecumenicalism, bondage, hypocrisy, etc. within the doctrines of the Catholic church in one form or another - no matte what denomination/cult you are these days.  It is actually a false gospel if one tries to apply it today.

Learning Paul's gospel brings you not only to Jesus Christ, but closer - in fact, He could even become your Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ - and that is far different than the "Jesus" folks are singing about with their banjos and guitars these days.

For those who ask about salvation within the Greater Commission, here are a few verses that I have noticed in my reading.  I am sure there are more verses that indirectly refer to one's personal salvation - and I may have even missed some other obvious verses, but these are the ones I have marked at this time...

Look up each one and you will see that Salvation is all faith IN and we receive the faith OF Jesus Christ.
