Note the order in that series is presented. It is exactly the order that folks follow to be deceived into thinking that they themselves can be a god even though they may never admit to it outwardly. That is the lie that the devil told Eve and ladies have believed it ever since. That is the lie that cause Eve to disobey God which was allowed by Adam, a weak man that he was, of which men have also been ever since Adam blew his opportunity to tell his wife what NOT to do.
This particular series will show us through God's scriptures that today, the devil is behind miracles, signs and wonders. There is no doubt that God can and does produce miracles to this day. My salvation is a miracle - but God does not use visible miracles, signs and wonders like he did in the Old Testament and in the early New Testament times. Simply put, miracles, signs and wonders were designed to be just that - miracles, signs and wonders for God's people to SEE to believe God. There came a time in the book of Acts that the apostles healings were done - there came a time where outward miracles were halted. Signs were for the Jews and since late in the book of Acts when Jews were put on 'hold', signs became no longer valid along with the miracles and wonders.
From the looks of this verse, there
is proof that there are 'signs and wonders' that were done by someone other
than God and God considered it and the person EVIL; in fact, the person
who did those false 'signs and wonders' was to be put to death. Note
that this series of verses directs us from those 'signs and wonders' to
God's own words instead, which is far cry as to what happens in America
with the healers and miracle workers of today.
If we have the King James Bible, we have that by which God wants us to live. Per-versions do not say to live by every word of God - check it out - and those are the 'christians' who attend churches & have pastors who most likely believe visual signs, wonders and miracles. According to II Peter 1:19-21 our final authority that takes place OVER any vision, miracle, sign & wonder is the Holy Scriptures - not those things we see. We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts: Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation. For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.
Please remember: The devil has a strong desire to be "like the most High." He DOES want to be like Jesus. That is his goal. He has no desire to BELIEVE Christ, FOLLOW Him or OBEY Him. He just wants to be LIKE Him. He is the greatest IMITATION of Christ of all time. The new "bibles" change the word "followers," where God speaks of being followers of the Lord, into the word "Imitators." That is because the new "bibles" are all IMITATIONS!
Even though there are plenty of
phonies and fakes out there, please note that the devil CAN supply signs
and wonders like those of the most High! The devil CAN work miracles.
He can empower his children to work miracles. If God allows him to
do it, the devil could take an unsaved person and give him the ability
to speak in a language he has never studied. Remember, the devil
is in the business of IMITATING the signs and wonders of the most High.
If you read your Bible, you ought to know that!
If you are looking for some proof of God in a sign or a miracle or wonder, that is a sure indication that you are a wicked and adulterous individual.
If you know your Bible, however, you also know that at first, for every sign and wonder Moses and Aaron performed, the magicians of Pharaoh (children of Satan) did likewise. Those magicians turned their rods into serpents. (Exodus 7:10,11) That was no sleight-of-hand - that was real!
Moses cast down his rod and it became a serpent. The magicians cast down their rods, and, wonder of wonders, they ALSO turned into serpents! That's not all. There magicians were able to turn water into blood. (Exodus 7:22) This all really happened. We are not talking about the phony stuff pulled at every "Mass" during the "Eucharist, " when gullible people are supposed to believe that the wine and the bread have been transformed miraculously into the blood and body of Christ by the priest's magical words - even though they still look, feel and taste like wine bread. That is called "transubstantiation. (The Hebrew for that word is 'baloney'). These are all true happenings! The Devil can & will do these things.
Another miracle the magicians pulled out of their hat was to pull multitudes of frogs out of the water on to the land. (Exodus 8:7)
What would you think today if a famous tv personality preacher were to turn a rod into a snake in front of your eyes, or water to blood, or a bunch of frogs to appear? Would you think that is a verification of his message?
The reason God allowed them to have this power was to try people to see whether they would go by the word of God or by the signs. Deuteronomy 13:3,4 Thou shalt not hearken unto the words of that prophet, or that dreamer of dreams: for the LORD your God proveth you, to know whether ye love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul. Ye shall walk after the LORD your God, and fear him, and keep his commandments, and obey his voice, and ye shall serve him, and cleave unto him.

everyone together to fight God!
