Web
2005
- Touchet Baptist Church, Touchet, Washington - Pastor Mike Paulson - 2005
Expounding
the way of God more perfectly - Acts 18:26
-
with the Scriptures Rightly Divided - II
Timothy 2:15
|
The Great Divider
- King James 1611 Bible
-
|
-
We know of Rightly Dividing the word of truth - I
Timothy 2:16 - it shows us how to be approved unto God, not
to be ashamed, by dividing that Book up into all that is TO and FOR us!
-
We know the word of God, as the sword of the Spirit, divides our
soul and spirit from our joints and marrow - the flesh; and is even a discerner
of the thoughts and intents of the heart! Hebrews
4:12
-
We know that Paul caused division, and he knew it at the time, too,
when he started a dissension among the Sadducees and Pharisees in Acts
23:5-10 - it almost got him killed, too.
-
Jesus Christ caused division - and it DID get Him killed!
John 7:43 - So
there was a division among the people because of him.
Luke 12:51 -Suppose
ye that I am come to give peace on earth? I tell you, Nay; but rather
division.
Luke 12:52-57 -
For
from henceforth there shall be five in one house divided, three against
two, and two against three. The father shall be divided against the son,
and the son against the father; the mother against the daughter, and the
daughter against the mother; the mother in law against her daughter in
law, and the daughter in law against her mother in law. And he said
also to the people, When ye see a cloud rise out of the west, straightway
ye say, There cometh a shower; and so it is. And when ye see the
south wind blow, ye say, There will be heat; and it cometh to pass.
Ye hypocrites, ye can discern the face of the sky and of the earth; but
how is it that ye do not discern this time? Yea, and why even of
yourselves judge ye not what is right?
-
We are aware that there certainly are divisions within the local church
in doctrinal matters as well as amongst the brethren themselves; however,
there ought not be!
I Corinthians 1:11-18
- For first of all, when ye come together in church, I hear that there
be divisions among you; and I partly believe it.
I Corinthians 3:3
- For ye are yet carnal: for whereas there is among you envying, and strife,
and divisions, are ye not carnal, and walk as men?
I Corinthians 1:10 -
Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that
ye all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you;
but that ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same
judgment.
If we follow the unity of a rightly divided bible and obey what Paul
says in how we are to take care of each other - 'with charity,' there ought
be no divisions!
-
In fact, not only are we to mark those that cause
divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned;
we are to avoid them. Romans 16:17
-
...we are even SUPPOSE to make division with
those who do not follow Christ leading us through Paul ...
I Timothy 6:5 -
Perverse disputings of men of corrupt minds, and destitute of the truth,
supposing that gain is godliness: from such withdraw thyself.
II Timothy 3:5 -
Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn
away.
II Thessalonians 3:6 - Now
we command you, brethren, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye
withdraw yourselves from every brother that walketh disorderly, and not
after the tradition which he received of us.
II Thessalonians 3:14,15 And
if any man obey not our word by this epistle, note that man, and have no
company with him, that he may be ashamed. Yet count him not as an
enemy, but admonish him as a brother.
OK, so then...
-
...knowing the division that Christ caused...
-
...knowing that this KJB is the very words of God - is the words of Jesus
Christ - is the sword of the Spirit...
-
...knowing that if we were to take this book and turn it into a flesh and
blood person, we would have Jesus Christ; and if we took the person of
Jesus Christ and turn Him into words, you would have the King James Bible.
John 1:1,14
-
...knowing that Jesus is the physical for then and
tomorrow, but the KJB is the spiritual for today
...then we should also see the King James Bible...
...all by itself...
...is the Great Divider!
And here is the point of division
for the great divide!
But when that which is perfect is come,
then that which is in part shall be done away.
I Corinthians 13:10
We have four kingdoms - three now, one coming later and one fake
one being prepared today.
1. Now - Satan's kingdom - Earth - Power of air, god of
this world, ruler of gentiles, etc. until Revelation
11:15
2. OT & Gospels - Kingdom of heaven - Literal earthly
kingdom for God's things - Jesus came with this one - to be
the Messiah of!
3. Paul's Gospel Now - Kingdom of God - Jesus also came
with this one - when He left and they killed Stephen, this was the only
one left. Spiritual Kingdom - Romans 14:17
Fake - Modern Christianity is building
a false kingdom based on the Great Commission and the Kingdom of heaven
- an earthy kingdom lead by the antichrist!
4. Future - Millennial Kingdom - future - both kingdoms
combined, Satan gone. They all will be His kingdoms then - Revelation
11:15

Ok, this is just too simple folks!
But... where are the great Christians walking and preaching what Paul
has shown to us and what Christ has given to us - as HIS expense!
building bigger churches? making folks happier? lovers of
pleasures more than lovers of God? Can't endure sound doctrine, when
sound doctrine is the simplest it has ever been?
We are in the 'hour of temptation' - that is our war!
We all just want / need more money becauase we think it will make our
Christianity lifestyle 'easier!'
The devil will soon give everyone money - just what they want - welfare
from the antichrist - only they won't be able to buy sell or trade unless
they take his mark.
Makes sense, eh! It is all about money!
I Timothy 6:10 - For the love of money
is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred
from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.
But for us today:
I Timothy 6:11-12
But thou, O man of God, flee
these things;
and follow after righteousness,
godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness.
Fight the good fight of faith,
lay hold on eternal life,
whereunto thou art also called,
and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses.
