God's Mouth to Jesus

Deuteronomy 18:18 - I will raise them up a Prophet from among their brethren, like unto thee, and will put my words in his mouth; and he shall speak unto them all that I shall command him.
John 17:8 -For I have given unto them the words which thou gavest me; and they have received them, and have known surely that I came out from thee, and they have believed that thou didst send me.
John 17:14 - I have given them thy word; and the world hath hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.

Jeremiah's mouth

II Chronicles 36:12: And he did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD his God, and humbled not himself before Jeremiah the prophet speaking from the mouth of the LORD.
Jeremiah 1:9 - Then the LORD put forth his hand, and touched my mouth. And the LORD said unto me, Behold, I have put my words in thy mouth.

Elijah's mouth

I Kings 17:24: And the woman said to Elijah, Now by this I know that thou art a man of God, and that the word of the LORD in thy mouth is truth.

Would God Tell Us Anything From His Mouth Today? God's People Then!

We can certainly learn from Jeremiah's day...
Jeremiah 7:28 - - But thou shalt say unto them, This is a nation that obeyeth not the voice of the LORD their God, nor receiveth correction: truth is perished, and is cut off from their mouth.
Correction / Instruction in Righteousness

Romans 10:3 - For they being ignorant of God's righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God.

Jesus to Holy Spirit - WORDS

John 14:26 - But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.
John 16:13,14 - Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come. He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall shew it unto you.

From Paul:

Our mouth is our salvation!

John 17:20 - Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word;
Romans 10:9,10 - But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach; That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

KJV rightly divided should have shut our mouth and should keep it shut!

Romans 3:19 - Now we know that what things soever the law saith, it saith to them who are under the law: that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God.

No corrupt communication - our mouths must edify or keep our hands on our mouth!

Ephesians 4:29-32 -Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers. And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption. Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice: And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you.
Colossians 3:8 - But now ye also put off all these; anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy communication out of your mouth.

Why talk that way?

Job 15:13 - That thou turnest thy spirit against God, and lettest such words go out of thy mouth?

Teach Paul boldly

Ephesians 6:19 - And for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel,

Is not being done today anywhere!
If they try, they have to bathe it in grace!

Must stop the mouths of the deceivers

Titus 1:10-14 - Holding fast the faithful word as he hath been taught, that he may be able by sound doctrine both to exhort and to convince the gainsayers. For there are many unruly and vain talkers and deceivers, specially they of the circumcision: Whose mouths must be stopped, who subvert whole houses, teaching things which they ought not, for filthy lucre's sake. One of themselves, even a prophet of their own, said, The Cretians are alway liars, evil beasts, slow bellies. This witness is true. Wherefore rebuke them sharply, that they may be sound in the faith; Not giving heed to Jewish fables, and commandments of men, that turn from the truth.

Things Must Be Said Today

Titus 2:15 - These things speak, and exhort, and rebuke with all authority. Let no man despise thee.

To the generation of Baby Boomers who brought selfishness and stupidity to America - and are now running churches.

God's Wisdom and Our Mouth God fills our mouth

Psalm 81:10 - - I am the LORD thy God, which brought thee out of the land of Egypt: open thy mouth wide, and I will fill it.
Proverbs 2:6 - For the LORD giveth wisdom: out of his mouth cometh knowledge and understanding.
Proverbs 4:5 - Get wisdom, get understanding: forget it not; neither decline from the words of my mouth.

Our Mouth

12:14 - A man shall be satisfied with good by the fruit of his mouth...
13:2 - A man shall eat good by the fruit of his mouth...
15:23 - A man hath joy by the answer of his mouth: and a word spoken in due season, how good is it!

We must not have froward mouth...

Froward - perverse, that is, turning from, with aversion or reluctance; not willing to yield or comply with what is required; unyielding; ungovernable; refractory; disobedient; peevish; as a froward child.

1. Sullen or perverse in opposition or disobedience; obstinate in non-compliance;
2. Unmanageable; obstinately unyielding; as a refractory beast.

4:24 - Put away from thee a froward mouth, and perverse lips put far from thee.
8:13 - The fear of the LORD is to hate evil: pride, and arrogancy, and the evil way, and the froward mouth, do I hate.
10:31a - the froward tongue shall be cut out.

Not have:

6:12,13 - A naughty person, a wicked man, walketh with a froward mouth... Frowardness is in his heart, he deviseth mischief continually; he soweth discord.
11:9 - An hypocrite with his mouth destroyeth his neighbour...
11:11 - ... the city ... is overthrown by the mouth of the wicked.
14:3 - In the mouth of the foolish is a rod of pride...
15:14 - ... the mouth of fools feedeth on foolishness.
15:28 - ... the mouth of the wicked poureth out evil things.
10:11b - ...but violence covereth the mouth of the wicked.
10:32b - but the mouth of the wicked speaketh frowardness.
20:17 - Bread of deceit is sweet to a man; but afterwards his mouth shall be filled with gravel.
5:7 - Hear me now therefore, O ye children, and depart not from the words of my mouth.
7:24 - Hearken unto me now therefore, O ye children, and attend to the words of my mouth.
8:7 - For my mouth shall speak truth; and wickedness is an abomination to my lips.
8:8 - All the words of my mouth are in righteousness; there is nothing froward or perverse in them.
10:11a - The mouth of a righteous man is a well of life: but violence covereth the mouth of the wicked.
10:31 - The mouth of the just bringeth forth wisdom...
10:32 - The lips of the righteous know what is acceptable...
12:6b - ... the mouth of the upright shall deliver them.
13:3a - He that keepeth his mouth keepeth his life...
15:2a - The tongue of the wise useth knowledge aright...
16:23 - The heart of the wise teacheth his mouth, and addeth learning to his lips.
18:4 - The words of a man's mouth are as deep waters, and the wellspring of wisdom as a flowing brook.
21:23 - Whoso keepeth his mouth and his tongue keepeth his soul from troubles.
27:2 - Let another man praise thee, and not thine own mouth; a stranger, and not thine own lips.
30:32 - If thou hast done foolishly in lifting up thyself, or if thou hast thought evil, lay thine hand upon thy mouth.
Jesus said

Matthew 15:18 - But those things which proceed out of the mouth come forth from the heart; and they defile the man.
Aren't we glad we don't to be accountable to the Gospels!

As we approach the Tribulation, we are seeing more and more of this:

James 3:3 - Behold, we put bits in the horses' mouths, that they may obey us; and we turn about their whole body. Behold also the ships, which though they be so great, and are driven of fierce winds, yet are they turned about with a very small helm, whithersoever the governor listeth. Even so the tongue is a little member, and boasteth great things. Behold, how great a matter a little fire kindleth! And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity: so is the tongue among our members, that it defileth the whole body, and setteth on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire of hell. For every kind of beasts, and of birds, and of serpents, and of things in the sea, is tamed, and hath been tamed of mankind: But the tongue can no man tame; it is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison.
James 3:10-12 - Out of the same mouth proceedeth blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not so to be. Doth a fountain send forth at the same place sweet water and bitter? Can the fig tree, my brethren, bear olive berries? either a vine, figs? so can no fountain both yield salt water and fresh.
Jude 16 - These are murmurers, complainers, walking after their own lusts; and their mouth speaketh great swelling words, having men's persons in admiration because of advantage
