Another Sermon for the Starving Bible Believing Christians All Over the World Wide Web
2006 - Touchet Baptist Church, Touchet, Washington - Pastor Mike Paulson - 2006
Expounding the way of God more perfectly - Acts 18:26 - with the Scriptures Rightly Divided - II Timothy 2:15

Sermon Series on Putting Paul's Gospel Into Our Own Family Life
(based on my chart tract)

First comes crucifying our flesh / world...
Galatians 5:24 - And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.
Galatians 6:14 - But God forbid that I should glory, save in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world is crucified unto me, and I unto the world.

...then we can rise & live our family life with Him as designed by Him which was then presented to and patterned for us by Paul.
I Timothy 1:16 - Howbeit for this cause I obtained mercy, that in me first Jesus Christ might shew forth all longsuffering, for a pattern to them which should hereafter believe on him to life everlasting.
Colossians 3:1 -  f ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God.

We continue to go deeper, just not different.
Remember - a more excellent way!  the way of God more perfectly
The Gift of Grace
Part VIII
Grace Towards Others - the Bad Crowd

We have been talking about Grace in I II III IV V VI VII and now VIII tonight.

We are looking at how to have grace at others - meaning the 'lost' or the 'others' in our lives.

Lost
Imitators / Pretenders accidently or on purpose!
Brethren
    Rebellious
    Disobedient
    Not agree doctrinally
    Ignorant - accidently or willingly

How to have grace for:

Gainsayers - Titus 1:9

Murmurers / Disputers
    Proper Disputations
        Acts 15:1,2; 6,7; 17:17; 19:9
    Doubtful Disputations
        Romans 14:1
    Earnestly Contending
        Jude 3,4
I Thessalonians 2:1-12 - Being gentle in your contention with some because you 'care' - you have a heart for folks to get the truth, not just preach AT them.  As a father exorts and comforts his children, we try to show folks the Book - although it seems that most fathers don't know how to do that thus they don't 'agree' with Paul's gospel and methods - or at least don't understand it.

That in itself probably explains half the problems in our Bible Believing homes today.  Folks are just too busy to take the time to exort and comfort their children.  Most parents only get involved when their kids finally make them mad enough to step in, and then it is just an angry response; that response is totally worthless towards growth - it only causes more bitterness from the kids and eventually can drive them to wrath.  Ephesians 6:4 - And, ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath: but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.
