Fruit Pickin'
Part II
Fruit Pickers
I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called,
Ephesians 4:1

Basic Premise tonight:  We are called to be 'fruit pickers,' not 'soul winners!'

Let's slow down now and let the flowers bloom (instead of being blooming idiots!)
Let's slow down now and let the fruit ripen!  (ready to be what it is to be...)

Let's really TRUST and instigate HIS FAITH into our day-to-day to choices!

This Book works in our lives
and our lives should reflect this Book!

Our choices should be made on wisdom from this Book...
...not some religious teachings, emotions, worldly education, etc., if even at that!

These notes are in outline format only.
I recommend that you listen to the audio to get all the 'in between stuff' that will make these notes make more sense!

Gospels
Matthew 3:8 - fruits meet for repentance - people!  Numbers!
Matthew 13:8,23 - sixty fold, etc. numbers!
Mark 4:8,20 - sixty fold, etc. numbers, etc.
Luke 3:9 - hewn down if the fruit is not there!
Luke 12:17,18 - fill the barn - today's modern message - build bigger and bring in the greater numbers!
Luke 13:9 - cut it down if the numbers are not there!

John 15:8 - bear fruit to be disciples!

Acts 2:41-47 - numbers!

Paul
Christ has already made us Christian, now act like one!
Our changed lives is the 'fruit' that is be picked!

Romans 1:13 - Now I would not have you ignorant, brethren, that oftentimes I purposed to come unto you, (but was let hitherto,) that I might have some fruit among you also, even as among other Gentiles.
Philippians 4:17 - Not because I desire a gift: but I desire fruit that may abound to your account.

Romans 6:21 - What fruit had ye then in those things whereof ye are now ashamed? for the end of those things is death.
Romans 6:22 - But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life.
Romans 7:4-6 - Wherefore, my brethren, ye also are become dead to the law by the body of Christ; that ye should be married to another, even to him who is raised from the dead, that we should bring forth fruit unto God.  For when we were in the flesh, the motions of sins, which were by the law, did work in our members to bring forth fruit unto death.  But now we are delivered from the law, that being dead wherein we were held; that we should serve in newness of spirit, and not in the oldness of the letter.
Philippians 1:9-11 - And this I pray, that your love may abound yet more and more in knowledge and in all judgment;  That ye may approve things that are excellent; that ye may be sincere and without offence till the day of Christ; Being filled with the fruits of righteousness, which are by Jesus Christ, unto the glory and praise of God.

II Timothy 2:6 - be a partaker of the fruits - walk the walk! The husbandman that laboureth must be first partaker of the fruits.
Titus 3:14 - And let ours also learn to maintain good works for necessary uses, that they be not unfruitful.
Colossians 1:10 - That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God;

Colossians 1:1-11
We are to please God by changing our life - THAT is the fruit that is to be picked today...
...and that can only come from Paul's garden!

PS - what is the fruit of the Spirit?  numbers of souls or ... the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
23: Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.

The lost will see the truth in your life - then they too will want to trust in Christ - Ephesians 1:12!

It is just a matter of priorities!
It is not a one or the other.

Wrong always seems easier than right!
It is always easier to go after someone for salvation...
...than it is to go after yourself concerning the 'new walk' after the Spirit of God!

It is always easier to accept all that Christ has already done FOR and TO us...
...than to try to return an outward walk that pleases Him still!

Yes, Christ made it all so easy!
He already WALKED IT!

Let's seriously look at Paul now - let's be the fruit that needs to finally be picked!
He deserves nothing less!

And that is what will win our children to Christ!
Not to the antichrist!
