Another Sermon for the Starving Bible Believing Christians All Over the World Wide Web

Expounding the way of God more perfectly - Acts 18:26 - with the Scriptures Rightly Divided - II Timothy 2:15
Today, His Word Stands "For Us" "For Good!"
This was one of the most difficult sermons I have ever delivered.  Because of some 'heart' health issues in my life, you will hear 'again' more tears in this sermon.  I have tried to take them out of the audio, but I finally gave up in the middle of the sermon editing.  I really didn't want to feel the pressure and panic that had come in these past days - as it did peak in this sermon.  My 'gooner' appears to be having problems, but medically, it appears to be more of a heart issue.  (For those in the medical know, it is called PVC's that are affecting stress levels, etc.  I call them panic attacks!)

This may be a new 'series' on the good that God's words to be for us today.  The previous series on "Behind Closed Doors" has taken its toll on me personally.  I will continue to preach the word, as God shows me!

A.M. Sermon

Note: Do not mistake today's phrase 'for us' as meaning the same as what words are TO US and FOR US in the Bible.

His word is not against us today for evil, but for us for good!

It is a response to the SS lesson where in Jeremiah 44:29, And this shall be a sign unto you, saith the LORD, that I will punish you in this place, that ye may know that my words shall surely stand against you for evil:

In the OT, God dealt judgment onto His people; and we can surely see that judgment in detail within the Book of Jeremiah.

But today, through Paul's Epistles, we see that His words are 'for us,' not against us - and they are for GOOD, not evil!

We read, with some commentary, through the following:

Romans 5:8-11
Romans 6
Romans 7:9

The notes and comments would be just too extensive and too difficult for me to type up - as are tonight's notes as well.

P.M. Sermon
Part II

We continue on with reading some of the 'good' that these words can teach us.  This set was supposed to be included in the a.m. message, but obviously we not have the time or take the time.  Here it is for you from tonight.

Romans 7:9-25
Romans 8
