The Flesh Part VI |
Do you always have the urge to utter all your mind? That makes
you a fool! Proverbs 29:11
Instead, may I "suggest" you...
...Learn from Paul How to Control Your Mind!
This is a series on the flesh and the war we all have, as did Paul - Romans 7; but we are seeing that it is really about the mind. We have been spiritually circumcised away from the flesh - so why does the flesh win so many battles? Because our mind lets the flesh win!
Romans 6:11-14 -
Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive
unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord. Let not sin therefore reign in
your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof. Neither
yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield
yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members
as instruments of righteousness unto God. For sin shall not have
dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace.

Because
that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God,
neither
were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations,
and
their foolish heart was darkened.
