This is a series on the flesh and the war we all have, as did Paul - Romans 7:21-23 - 21: I find then a law, that, when I would do good, evil is present with me. For I delight in the law of God after the inward man: But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members.;

We choose - Romans 6:11-14 - Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord. Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof. Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God.  For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace.

• with a darkened understanding!
• of being alienated from God because of your ignorance! (you have walked away, not Him - you are still saved, IF you were saved in the first place...?)
• with a blind heart!
• where you have given yourself over unto lasciviousness because you are past feeling!
• working all uncleanness with greediness!

• I Timothy 6:5 - perverse disputings of men of corrupt minds - destitute of the truth - gain is godliness, etc.
• II Timothy 3:8 - resist, not just ignore anymore
• II Timothy 2:16 - the Bible has been Babbled / Profaned - 'phony scriptures' are now be used to guide folks to more ungodliness!  In fact, the KJB itself can be and is used to guide folks to an increase in ungodliness!

• latter times - depart from the faith giving heed to seducing spirits and doctrines of devils - I Timothy 4:1...

last days - perilous times shall come - II Timothy 3:1...

...from the simplicity that is in Christ!

• II Corinthians 11:3 - But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.
• 1 Corinthians 15:33 - Be not deceived: evil communications corrupt good manners.
• Ephesians 4:29 - Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers.
• Old man is corrupt already - Ephesians 4:22 - That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts; And be renewed in the spirit of your mind;
• Stirred up against the Scriptures - II Corinthians 2:17 - For we are not as many, which corrupt the word of God: but as of sincerity, but as of God, in the sight of God speak we in Christ.

Why be alive and choose to live carnally?  (ARE you alive spiritually?)

P.S. - not all carnal is bad - See Romans 15:27 - concerning Jews...
Weapons are not to be carnal, either!  II Corinthians 10:4 - Hebrews 4:12,13; Ephesians 6:17, etc.)

Lasciviousness
Looseness; irregular indulgence of animal desires; wantonness; lustfulness.
Tendency to excite lust, and promote irregular indulgences.

Ephesians 4:19 - giving themselves over to lasciviousness

1.  Pertaining to the pleasures of sexual commerce.  A venereal person is one addicted to sexual pleasures or venery.
2.  Proceeding from sexual intercourse; as the venereal disease; venereal virus or poison.

• Galatians 5:23 - softens definition of temperance by using 'self-control.'
• I Corinthians 6:9 - homosexual offenders will not inherit the kingdom of God...

• Do you have that war going on between your flesh & the Spirit of God?
