Another Sermon for the Starving Bible Believing Christians All Over the World Wide Web
2006 - Touchet Baptist Church, Touchet, Washington - Pastor Mike Paulson - 2006
Expounding the way of God more perfectly - Acts 18:26 - with the Scriptures Rightly Divided - II Timothy 2:15
A Rightly Dividing 'Exercise'
Endure
You do this one yourself!

This is an adult Sunday School class assignment that we did together in class.  You can listen to the audio sermon to this and see just how simple it is when it comes to understanding the Scriptures - the HOLY Scriptures - THE HOLY SCRIPTURES - the 1611 King James Bible.

Without rightly dividing, or even trying to do a partial dividing as many of the brethren do these days... we see the:

Contradiction
Conflict
Confusion
Confessions

What a mess preachers have made of the Bible for their people these days.

When things are made such a mess as they are in today, then the preachers put the folks through guild and pull out I John 1:9 and make them beg for forgiveness in their daily confessionals.  It is a pastoral control setup along with Hebrew 13:7,17... and they say the are concerned for your soul?

They sure don't care about your daily walk and if it please the Lord or glorifies the Lord or not - just bring in the numbers!!!  What a mess!

It is like a jigsaw puzzle...

Unfortunately, I did not get this sermon recorded for audio.  I hope you can make sense of these notes, anyway.

You did miss the 'live audio' of the word endure, though.

We do NOT have to endure for our salvation today - but Paul still tells us to endure certain things.  It seems that most folks have been preached to 'give-up' and to be satisfied with enduring until the rapture - sort of roll over and play dead.

Do NOT endure your children.  There is still a fight worth fighting - FOR YOUR CHILDREN'S SAKES!

I.  Print the verses as listed below, then...

II ...read through the entire list of verses as a whole!

Does a formal Bible Education today help or hinder?
III.  Next, lay down the rightly dividing lines! Now, as you read the verses in the gospels only, notice the similar application and meaning.
As you read the verses in Hebrews to Jude, you will also see the similar application and meaning?

Exceptions of 'facts' true anytime!

IV.  TO US Today! Bunny Trails!

Here are all the verses in the New Testament
that have the word ENDURE in the verse.

GOSPELS TO the Jews, not TO us today!

Matthew 10:22: And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake: but he that endureth to the end shall be saved.

Matthew 24:13: But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.

Mark 4:17: And have no root in themselves, and so endure but for a time: afterward, when affliction or persecution ariseth for the word's sake, immediately they are offended.

Mark 13:13: And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake: but he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.

John 6:27: Labour not for the meat which perisheth, but for that meat which endureth unto everlasting life, which the Son of man shall give unto you: for him hath God the Father sealed.

THESE ARE FROM PAUL - THESE ARE TO US TODAY!

Romans 9:22: What if God, willing to shew his wrath, and to make his power known, endured with much longsuffering the vessels of wrath fitted to destruction:
Well - that IS what He is doing today, eh!

I Corinthians 13:7: Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.
Yes - of course.  Never give up!

II Thessalonians 1:4: So that we ourselves glory in you in the churches of God for your patience and faith in all your persecutions and tribulations that ye endure:
How do we endure?  with patience and faith
What do we endure?  persecutions and tribulations - and we have plenty of those, but certainly not like what is coming in the actual Tribulation.

II Timothy 2:3: Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ.
A soldier doesn't roll over and die - and just sit around and endure life.
We are to endure hardness that comes with standing for rightly dividing and for the KJB, etc.

II Timothy 2:10: Therefore I endure all things for the elect's sakes, that they may also obtain the salvation which is in Christ Jesus with eternal glory.
A reference to the elect?  the Jews, of course.  Note the word ALSO.  He is talking TO saved - the church of GOD - and wants the Jews to ALSO have what the Gentiles were given an opportunity - to be saved by faith!

II Timothy 3:11: Persecutions, afflictions, which came unto me at Antioch, at Iconium, at Lystra; what persecutions I endured: but out of them all the Lord delivered me.
Yes, He still will.  But He gave us the Book - that which is perfect, etc.  He won't just throw some magic portion into your physical life - and your children.  YOU must be busy following Paul!

II Timothy 4:3: For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;
Well, that is sure true - and getting worse and worse as we get closer and closer to the tribulation!

II Timothy 4:5: But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry.
Again, that goes TO us today!

These are to folks in the Tribulation tomorrow, NOT to us today!

I bet you see some subjects in here that are still preached TO us today, eh!  If these things are TO us today, then so is Hebrews 13 about pastoral authority and so is Hebrews 6 on losing one's salvation, then so is Hebrews 12 on God spanking us today!

And according to James, if you don't endure temptation, you could die!

Hebrews 6:15: And so, after he had patiently endured, he obtained the promise.

Hebrews 10:32: But call to remembrance the former days, in which, after ye were illuminated, ye endured a great fight of afflictions;
That is about the Jews, not about us ... so, who is he talking to?  Us? Gentiles?  Nope - Jews!

Hebrews 11:27: By faith he forsook Egypt, not fearing the wrath of the king: for he endured, as seeing him who is invisible.
Moses again - Jews!

Hebrews 12:2: Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.
A fact - a truth for all dispensations - well, New Testament, anyway!

Hebrews 12:3: For consider him that endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds.
Yes, of course - but we can't lose our salvation - or even give it up.  That teaching goes against Paul's gospel!

Hebrews 12:7: If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not?
And if we don't endure?  See - that is for when the Lord will be chastening folks during the tribulation - His folks.  Nowhere does Paul say God will chasten us other than through His word!  the KJV Bible!

Hebrews 12:20: (For they could not endure that which was commanded, And if so much as a beast touch the mountain, it shall be stoned, or thrust through with a dart:
Jews again - in Exodus!

James 1:12: Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him.
And if you don't' endure temptation, you could die?
If you don't love the Lord, you could die?
Now there is some material for pastors who want to control their people with guilt and fear!

James 5:11: Behold, we count them happy which endure. Ye have heard of the patience of Job, and have seen the end of the Lord; that the Lord is very pitiful, and of tender mercy.
We can't be happy until AFTER the Lord comes?  Paul preaches all the time about our joy we can have TODAY!

I Peter 1:25: But the word of the Lord endureth for ever. And this is the word which by the gospel is preached unto you.
Yes, this is a true statement for any dispensation, but which gospel is this referring to for preaching.  See, there are still facts of truth in the whole Bible, but we have to be able to discern what is TO us for commandments, etc. and Hebrews to Jude is not to us today!

I Peter 2:19: For this is thankworthy, if a man for conscience toward God endure grief, suffering wrongfully.
Sure - but just a fact for any time when we suffer for the Lord.  This does not prove that Peter is TO us today!

Again, my apologies about having no audio sermon to help you through this one!
