The
entire King James Bible is written FOR us, but it is not all written TO
us!
We
learn from the "For" and study Paul's writings to apply the 'TO!"

Notes
December
28, 2008
End of the year message - ha,
of course, eh!
I said at the beginning of last year
that 2008 was going to have some serious things take place. Was I
wrong? nope!
But
the bills were all paid
we met many very excited folks in
the webfamily - a few even from outside of the United States.
we still exist as a church family
We are truly a missionary minded
church but as we are different than most, all of our missionaries are the
people themselves, in different parts of the country and world, telling
folks about the Risen Christ through Paul - getting excited about their
Bible again - and making some changes, small and great, in their lives
as they seek to live a life pleasing to the living God.
Hard year!
-
There has been great afflction and anguish
of heart and there have been many tears! There have been many doubts and
fears. This next year looks to be the most challenging yet!
But I hope that over this past year...
-
our confidence in our personal lives
has increased
-
our boldness has become balanced
-
our witness has been more than just
words
-
our understanding has deepened
-
our stress has taken on some peace
-
our future has become somewhat easier
knowing what to expect
-
our confusion has become more clearer
-
our changes in our lives have become
more permanent
-
our faith has increased
-
our KJB has been open more often and
for longer sessions - even searched and studied...
-
our prayers have become more and more
without ceasing
-
our prayers have brought us closer to
the living God
-
our works and fruits of darkness have
changed to light
-
our learning has increased AND we are
able to come to the knowledge of the truth
-
we have become less involved with the
affairs of this life and more active in spiritual things within our own
personal life
-
we are more hid in God than ever before
-
our skin has been covered more
-
our loudness has quieted down
-
our rioteousness has become more sober
-
our fun has been replaced by enjoyment
-
our happiness has been replaced with
more joy
-
our giving has been more cheerful
-
our spending as a church family has
reaped eternal rewards for us as well as others
-
our love for others has caused them
to love us less
-
we continue to be called the enemy
-
we have gained a few pounds
-
we have lost a few pounds
-
some of us have lost a loved one
-
some continue to seek a loved one
-
we have become better followers of Paul's
teachings
-
we are less ashamed of the testimony
of our Lord and of Paul, his prisoner
-
we have a better understanding of the
entire Bible
-
our church became more and more of an
evangelistic church than ever before
-
we are better at finding some things
in the Bible that helps us in our witness to those we truly care
-
we have had operations and other medical
challenges, but allowed the Scriptures to get us through them
-
we have all grown another year older
-
we have not grown deeper in debt?
-
we have fewer regrets than at this time
last year
-
we are turning more to the way of Paul's
teachings of the Risen Lord
-
we are following His direction and less
of our own
-
we bit off less this last year so we
could chew what we had put on our spiritual plates
-
we slowed down somewhat instead of speeding
up and getting caught up in the ways of this world
-
and finally, I hope we have all grown
in knowledge and in all judgment; that we may better approve things that
are excellent; that we are more sincere and without offence than were were
last year at this time.
So, we end another year - 2008!
Glad to see those of you who are
here are really still here with us!
Webfamily included!!!
