Draw Nigh
So when they had rowed about five and twenty or thirty furlongs,
they see Jesus walking on the sea, and drawing nigh unto the ship:
and they were afraid.
John 6:19
A General Outline

I believe that one of the reasons some folks are not 'understanding' Paul's gospel is that they are afraid to be close to Jesus.  There is no need to be afraid as were the folks on the ship as Jesus drew nigh unto them.

No need to fear being close to your Lord & Saviour Jesus Christ or be ashamed of Him if you are rightly dividing the word of truth!  II Timothy 2:15

But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ.
Ephesians 2:13
Not the common 'Great Commission' threat of James 4:8.  Many preach that if you don't draw nigh to God, He will not be nigh to you!

But in all truth, according to Revelation 3:20, Jesus isn't the one who leaves - it is us who walks away.
Also, see II Timothy 2:13 to see that Jesus CAN'T leave!

So we look at some verses in Psalms to see some 'deeper' encouragement as we see what God says about drawing nigh unto Him and Him unto us.

John 14:23,
