The
KJB Bible is written FOR us, but it is not all written TO us!
We
learn from the "For" and study Paul's writings to apply the 'TO!"

Even more of those, them and that which can draw
us away from the truth today!
Remember - A little leaven leaveneth
the whole lump. Galatians 5:9
Paul's warnings are not to shame, but truly to warn!
I Corinthians 4:14-17 - I
write not these things to shame you, but as my beloved sons I warn you.
For though ye have ten thousand instructors in Christ, yet have ye not
many fathers: for in Christ Jesus I have begotten you through the gospel.
Wherefore I beseech you, be ye followers of me. For this cause have I sent
unto you Timotheus, who is my beloved son, and faithful in the Lord, who
shall bring you into remembrance of my ways which be in Christ, as I teach
every where in every church.
Here are more of those, them and that
which can draw us away from the truth today!
Evil workers work up the flesh
-
Philippians 3:1-4 -
Finally, my brethren, rejoice in the Lord. To write the same things to
you, to me indeed is not grievous, but for you it is safe. Beware of dogs,
beware of evil workers, beware of the concision. For we are the circumcision,
which worship God in the spirit, and rejoice in Christ Jesus, and have
no confidence in the flesh. Though I might also have confidence in the
flesh. If any other man thinketh that he hath whereof he might trust in
the flesh, I more:
-
CONCISION, n. [L., to cut off.] Literally, a cutting
off. Hence, In scripture, the Jews or those who adhered to circumcision,
which, after our Saviors death, was no longer a seal of the covenant, but
a mere cutting of the flesh.
-
Galatians 6:12-13 - As
many as desire to make a fair shew in the flesh, they constrain you to
be circumcised; only lest they should suffer persecution for the cross
of Christ. For neither they themselves who are circumcised keep the law;
but desire to have you circumcised, that they may glory in your flesh.
-
Galatians 5:13 -
For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for
an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another.
Teachers of the law
-
Law - Old Testament AND the Gospels.
-
Gospels had grace now, but it was still THEIR faith
they had to maintain, etc.
-
I Timothy 1:7 - Desiring
to be teachers of the law; understanding neither what they say, nor whereof
they affirm.
-
Romans 10:4 - For
Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth.
-
Romans 3:28 - Therefore
we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law.
-
Romans 4:14 - For
if they which are of the law be heirs, faith is made void, and the promise
made of none effect:
-
Romans 9:32 - Wherefore?
Because they sought it not by faith, but as it were by the works of the
law. For they stumbled at that stumblingstone;
-
Galatians 2:16 - Knowing
that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of
Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified
by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works
of the law shall no flesh be justified.
-
Galatians 3:13 -
Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for
us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree:
-
Philippians 3:9 -
And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the
law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which
is of God by faith:
-
Colossians 2:14,15 -
Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was
contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross; And
having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly,
triumphing over them in it.
Deceiving and being deceived
-
II Timothy 3:13 - But
evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.
-
By good words and fair speeches
-
Romans 16:18 -
For they that are such serve not our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly;
and by good words and fair speeches deceive the hearts of the simple.
-
Solution:
-
II Timothy 3:14 - But
continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured
of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them.

-
Jesus Christ TO Paul!
-
Romans 16:25 - Now
to him that is of power to stablish you according to my gospel, and the
preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery,
which was kept secret since the world began,
Say peace and safety!
-
I Thessalonians 5:1-3 -
But of the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that I write
unto you. For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh
as a thief in the night. For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then
sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child;
and they shall not escape.
-
Proverbs 26:28 - A
lying tongue hateth those that are afflicted by it; and a flattering mouth
worketh ruin.
-
Daniel 11:21 -And
in his estate shall stand up a vile person, to whom they shall not give
the honour of the kingdom: but he shall come in peaceably, and obtain the
kingdom by flatteries.
-
Daniel 11:24a - He
shall enter peaceably even upon the fattest places of the province; and
he shall do that which his fathers have not done, nor his fathers' fathers;
-
Daniel 11:37 - Neither
shall he regard the God of his fathers, nor the desire of women, nor regard
any god: for he shall magnify himself above all.
-
We should know better today!
-
I Thessalonians 5:4 -But
ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as
a thief.
-
Paul is the one to show the true peace. NOT
the peace preached in the gospels!
-
Philippians 4:6-7 -
Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with
thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of
God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds
through Christ Jesus.
-
Philippians 4:9 -
Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and
seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you.
-
Christ is not here to conquer!
-
That is the antichrist!
-
Conquering Christ is a theme of modern Christianity
- those with the goatees!
-
Revelation 6:2
- And I saw, and behold a white horse:
and he that sat on him had a bow; and a crown was given unto him: and he
went forth conquering, and to conquer.
Withstand Paul's / KJB words!
-
II Timothy 4:15 - Of
whom be thou ware also; for he hath greatly withstood our words.
-
II Timothy 4:17 -
Notwithstanding the Lord stood with me, and strengthened me; that by me
the preaching might be fully known, and that all the Gentiles might hear:
and I was delivered out of the mouth of the lion.
Waste our time!
-
II Timothy 2:23 - But
foolish and unlearned questions avoid, knowing that they do gender strifes.
-
I Timothy 1:4-7 -
Neither give heed to fables and endless genealogies, which minister questions,
rather than godly edifying which is in faith: so do. Now the end of the
commandment is charity out of a pure heart, and of a good conscience, and
of faith unfeigned: From which some having swerved have turned aside unto
vain jangling; Desiring to be teachers of the law; understanding neither
what they say, nor whereof they affirm.
-
Titus 3:9-11 -
But avoid foolish questions, and genealogies, and contentions, and strivings
about the law; for they are unprofitable and vain. A man that is an heretick
after the first and second admonition reject; Knowing that he that is such
is subverted, and sinneth, being condemned of himself.
