Another Sermon for the Starving Bible Believing Christians All Over the World Wide Web
2006 - Touchet Baptist Church, Touchet, Washington - Pastor Mike Paulson - 2006
Expounding the way of God more perfectly - Acts 18:26 - with the Scriptures Rightly Divided - II Timothy 2:15

Let No Man...!

Now that we have identified the enemy, let's look at it in a somewhat different light.
Let's see what it is that the enemy would like to do to us, and then...
Let's Not Let Them Do That To Us - or to our family!

Why is that so hard for Christians - Bible Believing Christians - Rightly Dividing Bible Believing Christians - Paul following Christ Christians?

They seem to be so concerned about offending others - or losing friends, that the truth remains suppressed.  They don't dare DO what Paul says either, as that will affect others as well.

Even our own KJBOnly folks today would rather ask God to protect them from the enemy (which He has done quite well, by the way - Ephesians 6:11-20) by  'prayin in Jesus name' than open up their King James Bible and see what it is that God is telling us to do!

By the way, are you aware that along with the purpose of watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints; verses 18, another purpose of that armour is to make it possible for Paul to preach what he has to preach?   See Ephesians 6:19,20 - And for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel,  For which I am an ambassador in bonds: that therein I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.

So, in spite of being equipped with the armour of God concerning the Kingdom of God, we need to learn to deal with the enemy that we have while we are here on this earth.

While 'flesh and blood' is not our true enemy, ye ole' Satan will use flesh and blood to do a number of things to us.  Let's do something about them!  Get off this 'Beatitudinal wishy-washy baloney of being that roll-over and die lovey-dovey Christianity!

From the previous sermons...
Remember what Paul said about 'all men!'
Remember what Paul said about 'who' the enemy is!
Remember what Paul said how to 'handle' the enemy!

Now, what is it that the enemy wants to do to us and to our family...
...and to his little church family...
...and to our website family members, etc.?

We can learn these things 'exactly' as they are written to us, because they are written to us - through Paul!  I Corinthians 4:16,17 - Wherefore I beseech you, be ye followers of me. For this cause have I sent unto you Timotheus, who is my beloved son, and faithful in the Lord, who shall bring you into remembrance of my ways which be in Christ, as I teach every where in every church.

Why? Colossians 1:10-12 - That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God;  Strengthened with all might, according to his glorious power, unto all patience and longsuffering with joyfulness;  Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light:

That sure sums up what we can get out of Paul's ways, eh!

Philippians 4:9 - Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you.

The battles with these enemies begin with us!
We Should "Let No Man..."

1.  ...deceive himself!
I Corinthians 3:18 -  Let no man deceive himself. If any man among you seemeth to be wise in this world, let him become a fool, that he may be wise.
Education!
Pride!

2.  ...glory in men!
I Corinthians 3:21-23 - Therefore let no man glory in men. For all things are yours;  Whether Paul, or Apollos, or Cephas, or the world, or life, or death, or things present, or things to come; all are yours;  And ye are Christ's; and Christ is God's.
I Corinthians 3:4-9
II Corinthians 11:30 - If I must needs glory, I will glory of the things which concern mine infirmities.
Romans 11:36 - For of him, and through him, and to him, are all things: to whom be glory for ever. Amen.
Romans 15:17 - I have therefore whereof I may glory through Jesus Christ in those things which pertain to God.
Philippians 3:19 - Whose end is destruction, whose God is their belly, and whose glory is in their shame, who mind earthly things.)
Give glory to that Book - it is that which is perfect! - Psalm 138:2- I will worship toward thy holy temple, and praise thy name for thy lovingkindness and for thy truth: for thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name.

3.  ... trouble us!
Galatians 6:17 - And as many as walk according to this rule, peace be on them, and mercy, and upon the Israel of God.  From henceforth let no man trouble me: for I bear in my body the marks of the Lord Jesus.
What rule is that? Verses 14,15 - But God forbid that I should glory, save in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world is crucified unto me, and I unto the world.  For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision, but a new creature.

4.  ...judge us in these things!
Colossians 2:16 -  Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days:
Can you answer back?  Do answer back?  Do you show them the truth in your life?  Do you then avoid them, withdraw from them, etc.?  Are YOU the one ashamed?

5.  ...deceive us with vain words!
Ephesians 5:6,7 - Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience.  Be not ye therefore partakers with them.
Who is "them" in verse 7?  Read verses 3-5

6.  ... deceive us about the rapture - the gathering - the fulness of Gentiles - call it what you want, it is real!!
II Thessalonians 2:3,4 -  Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.

7.  ...despise thy youth (for those of you are in that category!)
I Timothy 4:12,13 - Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity.  Till I come, give attendance to reading, to exhortation, to doctrine.
To you young folks who think YOU know how to live life properly and better than your parents and everybody else: Do you do the above things according to Paul? ...or according to the Gospels? ...according to Acts 1-8?  ...according to Hebrews through Jude? ...according to Genesis to Revelation? ...or things just according to yourself?
Ecclesiastes 12: 1-3+ - Remember now thy Creator in the days of thy youth, while the evil days come not, nor the years draw nigh, when thou shalt say, I have no pleasure in them;   While the sun, or the light, or the moon, or the stars, be not darkened, nor the clouds return after the rain:  In the day when the keepers of the house shall tremble, and the strong men shall bow themselves, and the grinders cease because they are few, and those that look out of the windows be darkened...+
Ecclesiastes 11:9,10 - Rejoice, O young man, in thy youth; and let thy heart cheer thee in the days of thy youth, and walk in the ways of thine heart, and in the sight of thine eyes: but know thou, that for all these things God will bring thee into judgment. Therefore remove sorrow from thy heart, and put away evil from thy flesh: for childhood and youth are vanity.

8.  ...despise thee for what is preached and for what you believe through that preaching, etc.!
Titus 2:15 - These things speak, and exhort, and rebuke with all authority. Let no man despise thee.
What things?  Read the whole chapter - THAT is what true Christianity is suppose to be about!  Don't let folks despise thee for understanding the TRUTH!
