Hey Dad!
Are you doing your part to protect or destroy your kids?

These are my 'notes' for my short sermon that I preached with a few of my church men recently.
This may help you follow along as you listen to the audio.

Kids - not have to be perfect, but still...

Falling away - are we just trying to control our fall?

Obedience does not have to mean bondage for our kids?

Verses we look at during this mini-sermon:
    Ephesians 4:14
    Proverbs 1:13-23
    Isaiah 59:14
    Genesis 20:16

I have seen in Bible Believing family's teens and children, homeschooled and/or public school:
talking back!
talking and cursing about their homeschooling church going parents!
bullies - at VERY young ages!
kids that can not "study" although they have good grades and have 'done their work' well!
abnormal speech skills - poor phonetically, etc. very childish sounds for older kids...!
worldly activities!
worthless education in the needed areas!
no mom around
mom is around, but not really!
no dad around
dad is around, but not really!
little kids that terrorize others AND in the home!
education has become the family god!
they run the house - either directly or just by their presence!
go their own way with religions!
dad's who actually want their wives to work instead of them or both work!
dad's who are totally clueless to their children's lives!
dad's trying to be 'friends' with their teens!
boys being brought up to be like girls!!!
girls being brought up to be like boys!!!
kids that only respond to yelling and threats!!!
kids that only respond to being hit!
kids ignored because the mom/dad have given up!
kids always being given the 'best' quality, etc.!
music that is out of control of the parents!
music that is almost 24/7 in their lives!
very independent teens!
churches that have taken the teens away from the parents!
no flexibility from the parents in their child training!
raised kids instead of trained kids!
confused kids between mom and dad's standards and boundaries!
obvious rebellion that shames parents!
obvious rebellion that controls the home atmosphere!
kids not only sucked into the world by the world, but THROWN in by their parents / dads!
grandpa's more aware of the enemy than dad's!
kids being humiliated by their parents in church and in front of their friends, etc.!
mothers that are wired and worn over their kids - AND their babies!
MEDIA BEGUILES!
It does!
Hey Dad:
Do you know the prayers of Paul so that you can claim the same ones for your children?
What are your personal bible times?
Are you getting any new understanding?
Do you see the enemy after your children?
Are you concerned about these matters?
Do you personally want Ephesians 4:14 to blow away your kids?
Are you trying to win your children by being their friend instead of their dad?
If you get to the tear down stage, do you know what to do to build and plant?
Have you done the Balm in Gilead tests for your own personal marriage?
