The Certainty of Christmas
The Lord's Christ or the World's Jesus?
Forasmuch as many have taken in hand to set forth in order a declaration of those things which are most surely believed among us, Even as they delivered them unto us, which from the beginning were eyewitnesses, and ministers of the word; It seemed good to me also, having had perfect understanding of all things from the very first, to write unto thee in order, most excellent Theophilus, That thou mightest know the certainty of those things, wherein thou hast been instructed. Luke 1:1-4

Is "Christmas" really a time that we "celebrate the birth of our redeemer," or is it just a time when the devil has more moments of being like the most High? Isaiah 14:14

As stated by the Holy Ghost to Simeon in Luke 2:25,26,
is what we all call Christmas about the Lord's Christ... - the True Redeemer!
or
Is it as Paul warns in II Corinthians 11:4,
is all this Christmas stuff about 'another Jesus" - the Great Imitator?
The only way to be CERTAIN about this is to look at the Scriptures and see if the world is putting forth the same truthful story - in detail - about the same Jesus that is written about in the Scriptures.  Seems like a fair way to evaluate the whole thing, eh?

Are we certain:

1)  See, for all you hyper anti-Paul folks, we DO still look to the rest of the Bible - not just Paul's Epistles!

2)  We look to that which is perfect because it has come spiritually, the Holy Scriptures in the KJ1611B for our remembrance of Him.  Blood was shed from Christ as was blood shed for the Book!

3)  We know that what folks call Jesus 'birthday' is NOT when the New Testament officially begins.  See Hebrews 9:12

4)  We know that Jesus Christ was born as God manifest in the flesh to go to the Jews as their Messiah and then on to the Gentiles through the Jews!

5)  We also know that God is not one to glorify anyone's birthday (See Ecclesiastes 7:1 - ... the day of death than the day of one's birth.) so to say that Jesus is the reason for the season is not true, nor should we be saying "Happy birthday, Jesus."

6)  We also know that the mere mention of the word Jesus today tends to be referring to the OT Jesus - the 'before He died and rose again' Jesus.   After the gospels and Acts, Jesus is usually named as the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ - Christ Jesus - Jesus Christ, etc.  Using the name 'Jesus' is his earthly name so all denominations don't mind calling Him as Jesus... but they seldom go beyond that.

7)  We know that Jesus Christ is no longer a baby!

8)  We know that nothing during Christmas is ever mentioned about His death and resurrection, let alone Him still being alive and available by faith to all who call upon Him from hearing the gospel of their salvation, the word of truth!

9)  How many children AND adults know that Satan tried to stop the birth of Christ from going any further?  You don't see any yard decorations about that part - and it is certainly never included in any Christmas program.

10)  At one time in the early history of America, Christmas was outlawed by Puritans.

11)  We see a 'type' of a Merry Christmas in Revelation 11 as a celebration for the death of the two witnesses.  See Revelation 11:10 - And they that dwell upon the earth shall rejoice over them, and make merry, and shall send gifts one to another; because these two prophets tormented them that dwelt on the earth.

12)  The fight for Christmas today has become quite controversial.  Hey, even IF Christmas was to be true, how is it that Blacks can have their own 'holiday celebration' for blacks (Kwanza) and Jews can do their own (Hanukah); Muslims can do their own (Ramadan); Witches can have their halloween and Wicca's have their worship time in prison but Christians can not have Christmas without all this media and commercial hassle of calling it 'holiday' now and making laws against any form/color/smell/word/thought that would have anything to do with Christmas?

13)  We are just now beginning to see the fight in the media today is a smokescreen by the devil/antichrist.  We see those 'conservative Christians' fighting for something and claiming victory over the use of the term Merry Christmas, when it STILL IS NOT HAVE AN OUNCE OF SCRIPTURAL TRUTH TO IT!  Man, I tell ya, the devil must really chuckle over this stuff.

14)  The devil / antichrist has twisted the truth to deceive folks to the work & message of the OT Jesus, NOT the risen Christ!  The devil has emphasized peace to men of good will; giving gifts; family reunions; trees and colored lights, the holly, the mistletoe, the bells and wings on angels, the angel on the top of tree, the wreath, the greens, the candles, the advent candles, the nativity scenes, the music, Santa, elfs, North Pole, even the HO HO HO - NONE follow the truth of Christ's true birth.  (Zechariah 2:6 only has two 'ho's')

15)  Christmas celebration is nothing more than another device of the devil to trick people into lifting HIM up as the most high!  Note the battles over the Ten Commandments, Prayer in School and at work, Navy chaplains fighting to say "in Jesus name," moral values, witnessing at work and in public places, homeschools, church and different versions, but never KJB.  These are not battles over the truth, yet the modern Christian thinks they are!

16)  In fact, the news media is now using the 'biblical' facts of Christmas to prove that Christ has nothing to do with Christmas.  And the modern Christians will fight to show that He is, and in truth, the real One is not!

The antichrist will soon be appearing
and the world will be more than ready than ever before to welcome him with a RED carpet!

If we don't already know, we need to know that the facts of Christmas are NOT the facts of the Scriptures
NO, NOT AT ALL!
The only way that
thou mightest know the certainty of those things, wherein thou hast been instructed
is to read the complete 'story' as written in the Holy Scriptures themselves.
Jesus Birth as told in the Scriptures!

Isaiah 9:6,7 - For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counseller, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.  Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever.  The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this.

The birth of both Jesus Christ and John the Baptist are all written together!
Matthew 1:18-25
Luke 1:5-2:24
Matthew 2:1-18
Luke 2:25-35
John 1:1-14

What Does Paul have to say about this Christ?
I Timothy 3:16 - And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.

This is the Christ that will judge us by Paul's Gospel - The Lord's Christ, as told to Simeon, not the 'another Jesus' as warned by Paul!
Romans 2:16 - In the day when God shall judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ according to my gospel.
Romans 16:25 - Now to him that is of power to stablish you according to my gospel, and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery, which was kept secret since the world began,

But we don't follow the 'Jesus' of the OT who had with him John the Baptist to do the water baptism thing!  That was only for remission - the risen Christ washes away sin and sins!

We are to follow the Jesus Christ that went on to Paul!

Somebody is lying today about the real Christ!

We want the Lord's Christ!
The Jesus that Christmas is about is the wrong one!
(same as the movie The Passion of the Christ - a different Jesus is making news these days!)
