2005 - Touchet Baptist Church, Touchet, Washington - Pastor Mike Paulson - 2005
Expounding the way of God more perfectly - Acts 18:26 - with the Scriptures Rightly Divided - II Timothy 2:15

CC Christians
Do all things without murmurings and disputings:
Philippians 2:14

And that ye study to be quiet, and to do your own business, and to work with your own hands, as we commanded you;
I Thessalonians 4:11

Therefore thou art inexcusable, O man, whosoever thou art that judgest: for wherein thou judgest another,
thou condemnest thyself; for thou that judgest doest the same things.
Romans 2:1

As Christians, we ought not be a:

Constant Complainer
Numbers 14:26-28
Exodus 16:2-8
Jude 16-21 These are murmurers, complainers, walking after their own lusts; and their mouth speaketh great swelling words, having men's persons in admiration because of advantage. But, beloved, remember ye the words which were spoken before of the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ;  How that they told you there should be mockers in the last time, who should walk after their own ungodly lusts.  These be they who separate themselves, sensual, having not the Spirit.  But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost,  Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.
Psalm 77:1-3   I cried unto God with my voice, even unto God with my voice; and he gave ear unto me.  In the day of my trouble I sought the Lord: my sore ran in the night, and ceased not: my soul refused to be comforted.  I remembered God, and was troubled: I complained, and my spirit was overwhelmed.

Constant Criticizer
Proverbs 29:1 - He, that being often reproved hardeneth his neck, shall suddenly be destroyed, and that without remedy.  Ya get tired of them!
Romans 14:10 - But why dost thou judge thy brother? or why dost thou set at nought thy brother? for we shall all stand before the judgment seat of Christ.
Romans 14:13 - Let us not therefore judge one another any more: but judge this rather, that no man put a stumblingblock or an occasion to fall in his brother's way.
Galatians 6:1 - Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted.

Constant Corrector
Proverbs 30:6 - Add thou not unto his words, lest he reprove thee, and thou be found a liar.   Sometimes YOUR correction will be corrected later!
I Corinthians 10:12 - Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall.
Romans 2:19-24 - And art confident that thou thyself art a guide of the blind, a light of them which are in darkness,  An instructor of the foolish, a teacher of babes, which hast the form of knowledge and of the truth in the law.  Thou therefore which teachest another, teachest thou not thyself? thou that preachest a man should not steal, dost thou steal?  Thou that sayest a man should not commit adultery, dost thou commit adultery? thou that abhorrest idols, dost thou commit sacrilege?  Thou that makest thy boast of the law, through breaking the law dishonourest thou God?  For the name of God is blasphemed among the Gentiles through you, as it is written.

Life is Constant Crisis
Life is a journey - every change does not have to be a crisis.  Make the adjustment with your mouth shut!
Psalm 77:4  Thou holdest mine eyes waking: I am so troubled that I cannot speak.   Blame God?
Proverbs 29:25  The fear of man bringeth a snare: but whoso putteth his trust in the LORD shall be safe.
Matthew 24:6 - And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.
I Peter 3:14 - But and if ye suffer for righteousness' sake, happy are ye: and be not afraid of their terror, neither be troubled;
II Thessalonians 2:2 - That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand.
II Thessalonians 1:7 - And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels,
II Corinthians 4:8 - We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair;
John 14:27 - Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
John 14:1 - Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.

Caught-up in Conspiracy
Outline and misc. comments from How Satan Turned America Against God - Dr. William P. Grady - pages 465-472.  I have only added Scriptures to the obvious!

"There is nothing so powerful as truth and often nothing so strange. - Daniel Webster
Eight ways to be harmed if one gets' caught up in the Conspiracy things in history!

1.  Denial - a convenient way out for many.  Ignore it.  "There just has to be another explanation!"
The unprecedented temptation of materialism will constitute the root cause for this recalcitrant (stubborn resistance) denial.  B Grady!
Deny the untruth of wanting to apply Revelation 3:7 for today!
Deny the truth of II Timothy 4:1-6; II Timothy 3:1a
They fall for the 'something good is going to happen to you today" philosophy than true Biblical forecast.
Trying to rebuild America do nothing for God!
These folks eventually burn out for Jesus as kingdom builders - or fall prey to the trap of modern Christianity in their pretend kingdom.

2.  Panic - the initial shock is more than they can handle!
Be prepared for the truth of history, past and present!  See Proverbs 27:12 - A prudent man foreseeth the evil, and hideth himself; but the simple pass on, and are punished.
It could 'shut you down' as a Christian - See Ecclesiastes 11:4
Comfort:  Job 22:21a; Psalm 2:4; Palm 37:1-2; Psalm 37:3; II Timothy 1:7

3.  Imbalance - from ignorance of it all to the hyper-anti-conspiracy activity.
False balance - Proverbs 11:1 - A false balance is abomination to the LORD: but a just weight is his delight.
What goes on in the White House is more important than the church!
Affairs of life mean more than walking the Book according to Paul!
II Timothy 2:4  No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life; that he may please him who hath chosen him to be a soldier.
You stand in judgment of the conspirators but ignore your coming Judgment seat of Christ - your own works!

4.  Depression - lose the spiritual strength - the joy of the Lord!  Nehemiah 8:10
see Matthew 6:16a Moreover when ye fast, be not, as the hypocrites, of a sad countenance: for they disfigure their faces, that they may appear unto men to fast.
You also get exasperated because you find that your efforts don't change a thing - things WILL wax worse and worse!
We will not be returning to God, Guns and Guts, no matter how much we say it!
Sad reality:  A Declaration of INTERdependence was issued way back in 1976 by the NEA and World Affairs Council of Philadelphia, "Two centuries ago our forefathers brought forth anew nation; now we must join with others to bring forth a new world order!
II Corinthians 4:1 - Therefore seeing we have this ministry, as we have received mercy, we faint not;
II Corinthians 4:16 - For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day.
Galatians 6:9 - And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.

5.  Pride - knowledge puffeth up - pride goeth before destruction and an haughty spirit before a fall.  (Proverbs 16:18; I Corinthians 8:1b)
Other people don't know this stuff, so they must come to you!

6.  Obnoxiousness - sow discord!  You don't need to be belligerent about what YOU know and others don't!
God leads us to the truth eventually - and YOU are not always the truth that He leads folks to!
Physical kingdom becomes more important than the spiritual one!

7.  Presumptuousness - presume - To take or suppose to be true or entitled to belief, without examination or positive proof,
You are quick to your conclusions of the person involved.
Few Masons believe that they are worshipping Lucifer!
Few hand holders are witches!
The local bank teller doesn't' have a clue about the Federal Reserve.
The cashier didn't set the prices or invent the mark of the beast on the food.
Conspirators will be deceiving AND being deceived!  (II Timothy 3:13b)
Not all 'modern' pastors are Jesuits secretly infiltrated the church!
Not all Great Commission pastors are aware of what that all means!

8.  Impetuousness - A driving or rushing with haste and violence
Know just enough to be dangerous.
Come to quick conclusions that are still wrong.
Hey - it isn't a certain group of folks... it is the devil - he has the kings and .  Psalm 2:2; Revelation 16:14; Ephesians 6:12; II Timothy 3:13 - the devil is behind it all, anyway!

If a Christian can study conspiracy history without giving in to denial, panic, imbalance, depression, pride, Obnoxiousness, presumption or impetuousness, he may then glean the major spiritual benefit from such material.

Though we may be powerless to change the present course of evil events (II Timothy 3:13), we can allow the awareness of these developments  to work a change in us!

Knowing what is just around the corner will produce that spiritual quality of soberness required in I Peter 5:8.

Psalm 37:1-3 1: Fret not thyself because of evildoers, neither be thou envious against the workers of iniquity.  For they shall soon be cut down like the grass, and wither as the green herb. Trust in the LORD, and do good; so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed.

CC Christians we ought to be:

Content but not Complacent

Philippians 4:11 - Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content
I Timothy 6:8 - And having food and raiment let us be therewith content.
Hebrews 13:5 - Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.

Complacent - living in content for our own purpose and pleasures!

Proverbs 18:9 - He also that is slothful in his work is brother to him that is a great waster.
Proverbs 21:25 - The desire of the slothful killeth him; for his hands refuse to labour.
Proverbs 22:13 - The slothful man saith, There is a lion without, I shall be slain in the streets.
Ecclesiastes 10:18 - By much slothfulness the building decayeth; and through idleness of the hands the house droppeth through.

Contending for the Faith of Christ

Jude 1:3 - Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints.
Philippians 3:9 - And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith:
Galatians 2:16 - Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.
Galatians 2:20 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.
Galatians 3:22  But the scripture hath concluded all under sin, that the promise by faith of Jesus Christ might be given to them that believe.

Be Careful for Nothing Christians!

Philippians 4:6,7  Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.  And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

Don't let all that stuff listed above ruin your day!
Proverbs 15:13 - A merry heart maketh a cheerful countenance: but by sorrow of the heart the spirit is broken.
Proverbs 15:15 - All the days of the afflicted are evil: but he that is of a merry heart hath a continual feast.
Proverbs 17:22 - A merry heart doeth good like a medicine: but a broken spirit drieth the bones.

We still  ...may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.
It's up to us to live it properly!
