For
bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all
things,
having
promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.
This
is a faithful saying and worthy of all acceptation.

There
is No Blushing These Days
|
As we begin our trek through Timothy
and Titus - after many many preliminary
"hors d'oeurve" sermons to help prepare us through these do's and
don'ts, let us consider this question:
Another opening
question for tonight:
Psalm 4:2
- how much longer?
Moses asked that question - Numbers
14:11
Elijah asked that question - I
Kings 18:21
Let's get
into the Book for strength from the living God!
-
Psalm 25:2
-
Psalm 25:20
-
Psalm 31:1
Why is it
that it seems the brethren are guilty of wanting to see us NOT learn a
walk to please God?
Do we even give ourselves pressure?
(remember that sin that is
still within doesn't give up!)
-
Psalm 31:17
-
Psalm 35:4
-
Psalm 35:26
-
Psalm 40:11
-
Psalm 86:17
-
Do we doubt the 'motive' "of what sort
it is' in others?
-
Do we think they have to justify their
new 'thing' to us?
-
Do we challenge them to see if it is
real?
-
Do we think we should test them to see
if they are strong enough and serious enough?
-
What if they are not?
-
Would that prove your point?
-
Would you be 'right?'
-
Would that make you happy?
-
What if they are good in one area but
not in another?
-
Does that negate the good one?
-
Where is your encouragement to someone
wanting to learn to walk?
-
Do you try to trip them up?
-
Do you try to discourage them?
-
Besides, who are we to judge, anyway?
See Romans 14:10-14
ENVY
-
Could it be that YOU are the envious
one?
-
They killed Jesus because of Envy -
Matthew 27:18
-
They hated Paul because of envy - Acts
13:45; Acts 17:5
-
Carnal Us?
-
I Corinthians
3:3
-
II Corinthians
12:20
-
Let us NOT be envious
Shame comes from:
-
Pride

Family
-
Proverbs 19:26

Proverbs 29:15
-
Proverbs 28:7
-
Proverbs 12:4
- wife
-
Proverbs 9:7
- reproving a scorner
Those are things that being done wrong,
anyway.
That should not include being shamed
by someone in the family doing right - or learning to.

Is that all a shame to you?
This all could happen to all of
us!

young adults
-
even older folks still have time.
The judgment seat is getting closer and closer, by the way!
To
those willing:
In spite of those
obstacles from others...
and some of you, quit
being such an obstacle!
Be in the Book
