Most Christians are Blind to the
Riches of the Full Assurance of Understanding

That their hearts might be comforted,
being knit together in love,
and unto all riches of the full assurance
of understanding, to the acknowledgment of the mystery of God,
and of the Father, and of Christ;
In whom are hid all the treasures of wisdom
and knowledge.
Colossians 2:2,3

Since my sermons on Psalm
23 and comfort today, I have heard from folks that think
that now I do not believe in spanking at all!
That is to be expected:
-
probably didn't hear the whole sermon - or listen well - or check out the
verses...
-
don't understand what I was trying to say - poor job on my part or pre-conceived
conclusions on theirs - addicted to OT ways - or Jesus ways!
-
they just want that simple 1 step solution - instead of the intense study
of Paul's manner of life!
-
won't consider other things within the home that add to this discipline
problem!
-
won't look at all the real enemy and his devices (ourselves, the devil,
the flesh, the latter times of today)
The difficulty we have today with our children proves
our ignorance of Paul's writings!
It is a Manner of Life, Paul says.
But thou hast fully known my doctrine,
manner of life, purpose, faith, longsuffering, charity, patience,
II Timothy 3:10
And it should be his manner of life that we should study...
...not just one or two elements of 'discipline'
The rod and staff were the "guides" - the "comfort" - as a shepherd
leading the sheep.
Don't you want MORE than just forced obedience and love from your children
- workers - family?
There is a difference:
Jesus gave himself yet asked the Jews to give themselves to follow
Him!
Jesus then gave everything and DID everything, so we CAN learn to walk
the walk that He already walked for us and then imputed it to us - THROUGH
PAUL!
Jesus - Romans 2:3 (Gospels,
etc. - the judgment of God, etc.)
Paul - Romans 2:4 (Romans
to Philemon) - the riches of his goodness, forbearance and longsuffering
THAT is what leads us to repentance today.
(PS - goodness, forbearance, longsuffering does NOT mean
permissiveness, buying things to make deals with the kids, etc.).
Still Blind?
I am seeing more and more "proclaiming Christians" that are STILL blind
to the truth!
Unless they KNOW something is going wrong - or has gone wrong - they
don't & won't see any of this so-called "Paul stuff."
Ephesians 4:17-24 - they are thinking
like 'worldly educated' lost folks!
not reading / studying!
wrongly dividing!
They may 'claim' John 9:25 - ...one
thing I know, that, whereas I was blind, now I see.
But do they really see?
Today, we
will truly see ONLY through Paul!
Acts 26:18a -
To open their eyes, ...
Quick example:
Why are folks 'lost?' And what folks 'like' to hear that they
are 'lost?'
-
because they do bad things? - a "sinner," etc.
-
not really!
-
because of Adam - I Corinthians 15:21,22; 15:45-50
And then, when one finally DOES receive the right
Jesus through believing the word of truth, trusting, etc. - the Lord Jesus
Christ, then what?
PAUL!!!!!
Follow Jesus in Gospels
More and more 'Christian' people just blindly try to follow Jesus
directly
according to the gospels:
-
teachings
-
church design/ programs, etc.
-
success
-
riches
-
pastoral demands and guilt / bondage /threats of fearing God, etc.
-
earthly things
-
physical victory and growth
-
they expect it and when it doesn't 'happen' they get angry, shortsuffering,
with malice, bitterness, wrathy!
That is NOT the manner of life as taught and shown by example by Paul!
ARE PEOPLE EVEN SEEKING?
-
Do the they see a problem yet - bad results yet - etc.
-
Do they really see a need to be delivered from anything?
-
If so, do they even think there ARE solutions?
Maybe they just need to 'see' our manner of life being what
Paul says & shows what it should be!
Emulation
They must WANT what we have - and that is a manner of life
of joy, peace, righteousness, honesty and godliness (honest
to goodness!)
(not just high living - success - good homes, houses,
cars, 'happy' kids, future careers of big money, two jobs, day care - the
American way instead of Paul's way!
Christians tend to think understanding comes automatic
- like magic!
I Corinthians 2:9-16

Instead, it is Romans

hearing was 'preaching' in Titus day! Titus 1:3

preaching - I Corinthians

famine of hearing growing every day! Amos
8:11-13
The key TODAY is - I Corinthians
13:10! THE BOOK - THE KJB!
Sure does eliminate the 'greek' and translation issue - instantly!
Famine in hearing...
Famine being caused by lack ot teaching as well as itching ears otherwise
known as selective hearing!
And - It isn't there to hear, anymore, either.!
Famine being caused by too much!

Luke 8:14 -
gets choked with cares and riches and pleasure of this life
- not the manner of Paul's life.
-
I Timothy 6:9,10 - But
they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many
foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition.
For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted
after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with
many sorrows.
This famine and confusion has
made folks blind!
WHAT ARE THEY
BLIND TO?
THE RICHES of the FULL ASSURANCE of UNDERSTANDING
from Paul's Gospel!
That their hearts might be comforted, being
knit together in love,
and unto all riches of the full assurance
of understanding,
to the acknowledgment of the mystery of
God,
and of the Father, and of Christ;
In whom are hid all the treasures of wisdom
and knowledge.
Colossians 2:2,3
The black words are taken from the back page of the powerpoint presentation
and tract Paul's Greater Commission!
Those are the riches that are ONLY available through Paul's ways!
Folks today are BLIND to these things!
The green is how or what the
modern Christian or world sees in place of the true riches.
Knowing God’s will in your life!

know your will according to your own education,
desires and family money, etc.
Awareness of cunningly devised fables!
-
now the KJB ins a fable
-
paul is a fable
-
Baptist distinctives are the only truth
-
Great Commission is the hour of power for church
growth
A quiet, peaceful & godly marriage!
-
few have one
-
no kids / both parents work / always gone - that
is how they have a quiet peaceful marriage.
Awareness of truth being evil spoken of!
-
no definition of truth - whatever works for you!
-
don't speak evil of anything!
-
although, the KJB and Israel - THOSE are evil
Awareness of doctrines of devil!
-
folks blindly participate in all sorts of doctrines
of devil
-
music; religion; one world government support.
-
good is good enough to be godly for folks
Ability to identify the spirit of anti-christ!
-
they are totally in his hands already
-
space movies / videos / games
-
pics / images
-
new bibles
Eliminate confusion of bibles, churches, doctrines, salvations, confusing
issues!
-
Ecumenicalism brings them all together, so they
are being to think, anyway!
Eliminate doubts about salvation, truth, world situations, present,
past and future!
-
they don't think anyone can KNOW anything for
certain - especially those things.
Lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty!
-
quiet and peaceable to people is called 'boring.'
-
godliness is considered to be legalism
-
honesty? ha, right! Flattery works
well today!
Hear the voice of joy and gladness!
-
hear the voice of happiness and fun!
Knowing your spiritual gifts!
-
not spiritual, but physical talents
-
mental 'gifts' based on your education level
-
if anyone is gifted today, it is in the sports.
-
if anyone claims musical gifts, they had better
not practiced - otherwise it is not a gift!
Hear those that truly say Praise the Lord of hosts and those who bring
the sacrifice of praise into the house of the Lord!
-
in spite of scriptures against our worshipping
with hands, today's 'church' is zealous of worship - worship house; worship
leader; worship team; 'come worship with us.'
Listen to the right voices & deny the wrong!
-
they listen to ALL voices EXCEPT the KJB!
-
they deny the right voice and make their choices
on their own voice!
-
or, their wife's voice!
-
or, their children's voices!
-
dad has no voice!
-
the man has no voice today!
Receive better help from the Psalms!
-
they see the righteousness in the Psalms to support
their own righteousness!
-
they tend to work the Psalms TO them today - only
partially, however - only when it works for them!
Receive better guidance from Proverbs!
-
pick and choose the ones they like - otherwise,
it is just empty wisdom.
-
Confucius and Abby and sports/movie stars, etc.
have better wisdom than God!
Keeps you from doubtful disputations!
-
education & Scholarship is all one needs
-
confidence built on debate skills!
-
rightly dividing eliminates ALL false doctrinal
confusion, but they will ignore it - too simple for them to understand
Able to steer clear of conversations and studies that bring about
more questions and gender strife!
-
they see no point in being involved in any discussions
of such because their beliefs add nothing but doubt when they are challenged.
-
if they do get involved, they can not and will
not come to any solid conclusions!
Able to identify vain babblings!
-
Christians live amongst vain babblings (not rightly
dividing) in churches all over the country! Even Baptists, yes, EVEN
baptists.
-
the vanity of their vain babblings destroys their
children's spiritual lives!
Able to live less ungodly and more godly without any self or pastoral
bondage!
-
they redefine ungodly, etc.
-
they want that bondage - they expect that bondage
- they trust the bondage!
Find Scriptural strength to identify and endure sound doctrine!
-
itching ears and only hear what satisfies their
itch!
Maintain awareness and understanding on all sins being forgiven &
not imputed!
-
they can't even imagine God doing that. That boggles
their mind!
-
they still want to confess to someone - I
John 1:9
Fighting the right battles!
-
don't fight any battles at all!
-
peace is what Jesus is all about!
-
wrong battles: politics; abortion; taxes; conspiracies;
ten commandments; church 5013C, etc.
Develop more boldness & confidence!
-
you mean more rudeness and pride!
Learn proper and godly manner of living!
-
immodest
-
roles switched between men and women
-
legalism
-
claims of us being 'more holy than thou'
-
old fashioned means good works
Know the things of Christ to us today!
-
they look to the Gospels, Acts 1-8; Hebrews through
Jude - Tribulation and Millennium applied to today!
Understand how to live a life in newness of life and newness of spirit!
-
they just want Jesus to make their 'old nature'
easier to live with
-
counseling - even so-called Bible counseling
Eliminate need and dependence on social welfare and recovery programs!
-
work less and demand more benefits
-
share equally, no matter how much harder some
work, etc.
Learn to study your sword – life is more than just having the “right”
one!
-
study? That word is not in their vocabulary
- they have a pastor to do that for them!
-
learn their doctrinal things from movies, videos
acting, programs, music, etc.
-
and there is NO right one - all work together.
Help others properly as well as how to withdraw and turn away from whom
those who walk contrary to Paul’s gospel!
-
they withdraw and turn away from us better than
we do ourselves - and then WE feel ashamed? what's with that, anyway!
-
they think we are the uppity ones
Know the truth of these latter times!
-
they just buy books and tapes from anyone and
everyone - instead of just reading the Bible - KJV!
-
most don't believe the last days, let alone latter
times...
Know the deceptions and smokescreens that draw folks towards ecumenicalism!
-
folks are caught up deep into the smoke
-
can't see the forest through the trees
-
they have learned to live this way
Awareness of apostasy and identifying all the lies and deception that
comes with it!
-
no apostasy at all - things are growing well in
number
-
America can still make it all work
-
folks are caught up in the lies of the worldly
ways.
-
if they have money, they are doing ok!
Better identify false teachers and teachings!
-
they say that WE are the false teachers teaching
false things
Prepare you for your own Judgment Seat!
-
no clue as to how they will be judged
-
they figure they are not all that bad
-
in fact, some figure they will be able to talk
with God and tell Him a thing or two, anyway
Prepare you for suffering for living godly!
-
if you are suffering, then there has to be something
wrong in your life with God.
-
surely God wouldn't have you suffer if you are
doing right
Be more thankful for all that God has done, is doing and will do!
-
the devil has done more good than folks realize
-
they have no idea what God is doing today - other
than to think He is changing His standards of right and wrong
-
they get their concept of the future from books
and videos, etc.
Enjoy the true peace “of” God, peace “from” God and peace “ with God!
-
peace is only from their new house, car, truck,
money - money - money success
-
education teaches a false peace to them
-
a good job; no kids, etc.
Know the things Paul expects us to know!
-
they have no clue
-
they don't care about Paul - only Jesus
-
Beatitudes, baptism, etc.
Know better than you were taught what to teach your children and grandkids!
-
they don't teach - they only GIVE their kids things
- riches, control, no guidance nor discipline
Learn how to please God, and then do it in the right manner – not because
of fear and bondage, but because of your love for God!
-
if you like it, then God must also like it
-
God will gitcha if you don't do right (whatever
right is)
-
there is no God
-
God loves all...
Give God Glory in all that you do and try to stop grieving and
quenching the Spirit!
-
If you got away with it, then it must be ok to
God
Love his appearing / crown of righteousness
-
He isn't coming until AFTER things are cleaned
up in this world
-
He isn't coming!
-
He has already come!
-
This is the tribulation today!
-
many crowns coming 'no matter what!'
-
love to disappear, not to see him - just to get
away from your troubles - debt, etc.
Let the Preaching and Teaching
of Paul "Deliver" You From:
they don't believe they need to be delivered
from any of these:
Hell and the lake of fire!
Matthew 23:33; Luke 12:15; Mark 9:43-48; Revelation
11-15
-
they don't believe in Hell and in a God what would
'do' that...
-
annihilation
-
all go to heaven by being sincere and some kind
of faith
The law of sin and death!
Romans 8:2; 3-8
-
they have never heard of that let alone understand
it
The daily battles between our flesh, sin that is in us and the Spirit
of God!
Romans 7:23,24
-
they have no conscience or inner battles with
a good self - they are all together: flesh, soul, spirit
Ourselves: the frustrations and tribulations of daily living!
II Cor 1:8,9
-
money fixes all
-
welfare
-
family / parents
Ourselves: for Jesus’ sake from a life ‘we’ want to walk!
II Cor 4:10-12
-
"What's wrong with how I live?"
This present evil world!
Galatians 1:4
-
we are Americans - we are not evil
-
the world government will fix it all
-
we are the evil ones - destroying the environment,
global warming, etc.
The power of darkness!
Colossians 1:13

silly concept to folks
-
movies have numbed folks to the reality of a spiritual
world that destroys souls
Unreasonable and wicked men that have not faith!
II Thess 3:1,2
-
all have faith in something... that is all it
takes
-
they have never heard of HIS faith, only their
own.
Wrath to come!
I Thess 1:9,10; 5:9
-
no wrath coming
-
wrath is already here
-
global warming, etc. is the beginning of God's
wrath; hurricanes, fires, draughts, etc.
-
economy is failing
-
losing freedoms
Therefore I write these
things being absent, lest being present I should use sharpness,
according to the power which the Lord hath
given me to edification, and not to destruction.
