Living Beyond the Resurrection
- True Biblical Revival -

No Christ!  The lost religious folks get so caught up on Easter:  egg hunts; hot cross buns; the bunny, sunrise services; Good Friday, Maunday Thursday (the day before Jesus died - foot washing, 'communion' passover lamb); Vesting the altar; Friday to Sunday then celebrating Sunday, etc. - ALL of which are wrong!

In fact, once again, Colossians 2:16 takes care of another 'holy day.'   Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days:

Lead TO Christ!  The 'saved' folks do get pretty caught up in soul winning.  (use whatever they can to get folks to come to church to get them 'saved!').  Do they really get them saved, though?  They preach 'eternal life' only and how to get others there, as well. - Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.  That is ok and great and a must - but there is more to being a Christian than just being saved! (although that seems to be all folks care anymore... if even that!)

Live FOR Christ!  Then we get the 'saved' folks who are into the seriousness of being 'right' as they proceed to try to do a work for God, even if it means to design it their way instead of what the Bible says.  Many of these end up back in bondage trying to live FOR Christ according to what they believe are Christ's own teaching to us through the Gospels.

Living WITH Christ!  There seems to be fewer and fewer who are really willing, let alone seeking actually LIVING WITH Christ, but THIS is where the Christian life begins NOW.  See Ephesians 4:11-16.
    Romans 6:8  Now if we be dead with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with him:
    Galatians 2:20  I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.
    Philippians 1:21  For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain
    John 20:31  But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name.
    Romans 5:17  For if by one man's offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.)
    Romans 6:4  Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.
    Romans 8:2  For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.
    Colossians 3:3,4  For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God.  When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory.

You can't LIVE comfortably with Christ and do all that is done these days with church, movies, music, etc. within the home AND church...

Let's look at the resurrection verses through the Harmony of the Gospels.

We must read these accounts knowing that there are no contradictions so that any confusing facts are only confusing to us - the truth of the apparent contradiction exists - just ask God to show it to you.

Matthew 27:57 to 28:8
Mark 15:42 to 16:11
Luke 23:50 to 24:12
John 19:38 to 20:18

Now, we know that He is risen.  Let's get past this most miraculous event!

We are risen - Colossians 2:12
We are risen - Colossians 3:1
Risen AND revived - Romans 14:7-9

A real revival is when we quit turning to Jesus
through John - Peter & Jesus Himself...
but when we turn to Jesus THROUGH PAUL!

 For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death,
we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection:
Romans 6:5

P.S.  And it is a most wonderful life - NOW - as well as tomorrow!

Romans 2:4  Or despisest thou the riches of his goodness and forbearance and longsuffering; not knowing that the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance?

Romans 9:23  And that he might make known the riches of his glory on the vessels of mercy, which he had afore prepared unto glory,

Ephesians 1:7  In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;

Ephesians 1:18  The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,

Ephesians 2:7  That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus.

Ephesians 3:8  Unto me, who am less than the least of all saints, is this grace given, that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ;

Ephesians 3:16  That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man;

Colossians 1:27  To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:

Colossians 2:2  That their hearts might be comforted, being knit together in love, and unto all riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the acknowledgement of the mystery of God, and of the Father, and of Christ;
