Rick Warren's 'often mailed' brochure - What can you do when preaching
a sermon isn't enough?
Obviously, his answer is to turn to the flesh for worship, attendance,
music, lasciviousness, etc. but it certainly isn't 'turn to the Scriptures.'
My question is this: Is preaching suppose to be 'enough?'
Maybe we give preaching too much importance?
Note: I am not knocking preaching - for sure - but still, ask yourself,
"Is preaching all I need?"
I believe that 'preachers' have stolen the Book, or folks have given
it up in place of 'great preaching!'
Preaching

Well, let's see what the Scriptures and more specifically Paul's Epistles,
say about preaching.

I Corinthians 1:18-13; I Corinthians 2:4; I Corinthians
15:1,2; I Corinthians 9:16-18; Romans 10:14,15

Of course, Paul says preaching is the power of God for us Christians.

It does show some great importance.
Be sure to remember this thought: During Paul's days, there
was NOTHING else available. They had no Book! Without the Book, they
had to hear preaching from Paul - actually hear God's words!

We don't have Paul today EXCEPT where? ...In the King James Bible!

Where do we find all of what Paul preached? ...In the King James
Bible!

People look to the preacher and his preaching
too much!

They have given up their Bible to hear a preacher they like!

If the preacher preaches too much Book - they don't like him - they leave!

See Jude 16 - they follow 'the man'
in the Tribulation. They are doing that more and more today.

I can name you a bunch of 'famous' preachers from the KJB 'camp' that don't
preach like they used to preach. And today, they have big churches, great
programs, lots of people and I can show you their music is bad, too.
Gain has become the goal!
TEACHERS TODAY, as well as preachers and pastors.
