How Do They Answer
These?
|
Part III -
Romans
4/5
More verses
that can be answered only by following Paul ONLY!
SLOW DOWN!
Read these verses slowly - meditate on them!
-
It is near impossible
to isolate any verses in Romans 4-8.
-
The chapters themselves
are intense yet easily understood if folks would just give them time to
soak in!
-
As you read the
verses, a single word may encourage you to do a word study and take that
verse even to deeper depths!
Chapter Four
Blessing of Abraham
- Imputation, not physical land blessings, etc.
-
Galatians 3:14
- That the blessing of Abraham might come
on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise
of the Spirit through faith.
-
Physical blessings to nations - families?
- Old Testament
-
Today's misthinking
is all a result of profane and vain babbling...
-
Today, spiritual blessings to Gentile
nations? - New Testament
-
Promise of the
Spirit through faith!
-
Romans 3:30
- Seeing it is one God, which shall justify
the circumcision by faith, and uncircumcision through faith.
-
Romans 4:17-25
-
It is all Kingdom of God - spiritual
kingdom
-
Romans 14:17
- For the kingdom of God is not meat and
drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost.
-
Spiritual blessings
-
Ephesians 1:3
- Blessed be the God and Father of our
Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in
heavenly places in Christ:
-
How about the spiritual blessing of
imputing God's righteousness based on our faith through his faith!
-
Galatians 2:16
- Knowing that a man is not justified by
the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed
in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and
not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh
be justified.
-
Galatians 2:20
- I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless
I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live
in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave
himself for me.
-
Galatians 3:22
- But the scripture hath concluded all
under sin, that the promise by faith of Jesus Christ might be given to
them that believe.
-
Romans 4:8
- Blessed is the man to whom the Lord will
not impute sin.
-
Romans 4:13
- For the promise, that he should be the
heir of the world, was not to Abraham, or to his seed, through the law,
but through the righteousness of faith.
-
Romans 4:15,16
- Because the law worketh wrath: for where
no law is, there is no transgression. Therefore it is of faith, that it
might be by grace; to the end the promise might be sure to all the seed;
not to that only which is of the law, but to that also which is of the
faith of Abraham; who is the father of us all,
-
Romans 4:23-25
- Now it was not written for his sake alone,
that it was imputed to him; But for us also, to whom it shall be imputed,
if we believe on him that raised up Jesus our Lord from the dead; Who was
delivered for our offences, and was raised again for our justification.
Chapter
Five
1,2 -
Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our
Lord Jesus Christ: By whom also we have access by faith into this grace
wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.
-
Therefore
-
by faith
-
peace with God
-
through
-
Lord Jesus Christ - risen, not earthly Jesus
-
also
-
rejoice in hope (not in 'the' hope)
-
glory of God
-
God has had his glory taken away by today's modern Christianity AND the
Bible believing preachers who are preaching 'gain,' Great Commission,'
etc. See Romans 1:23!
8
- But God commendeth his love toward
us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
-
But
-
toward us
-
sinners
-
not just sinning
-
thanks, Adam!
9
- Much more then, being now justified by
his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.
-
Much more then
-
saved from wrath
10
- For if, when we were enemies, we
were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled,
we shall be saved by his life.
-
For if
-
reconciled to God
-
much more
-
saved by his life
-
so why not follow his teachings while he is alive, not the earthy Jesus
teachings.
13
- (For until the law sin was in the world:
but sin is not imputed when there is no law.
-
For until the law
-
sin was in the world
-
Galatians 3:24
-
not imputed
-
when there is no law
-
see Romans 10:4
17
- For if by one man's offence death reigned
by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift
of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.)
-
For if
-
much more
-
they
-
receive abundance of grace
-
gift of righteousness
18
- Therefore as by the offence of
one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness
of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life.
-
Therefore
-
offence of one
-
not by our doing 'bad' things
-
free gift
-
have you received the free gift?
19
- For as by one man's disobedience many
were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.
20.
Moreover
the law entered, that the offence might abound. But where sin abounded,
grace did much more abound:
-
Moreover
-
the law entered
-
offence
-
sin
-
grace
21
- That as sin hath reigned unto death,
even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus
Christ our Lord.
-
That as
-
grace
-
II Timothy 2:1 - strength
-
Titus 2:11,12 - teaches us
Concluding Question:
-
What is it about today's modern Christian Bible Believing message that
provokes the lost to jealousy / emulation when compared to what Paul has
to say about the Risen Saviour and the Goodness of God of it all?
-
Romans 10:19
-
Deuteronomy 32:15-21; 28,29; 37
-
The Jews got that way - so have the Gentiles today!
-
Romans 11:11 -
provoke them to jealousy
-
Romans 11:14 -
provoke to emulation
-
II Corinthians 9:2 - your
zeal provokes
-
See I Thessalonians
1:8-10
-
Tribulation Message
-
mistakenly being preached today!
-
Hebrews 10:24
-
provoke unto good works - that is the message preached in most 'serious
churches' and street corners! That is a message TO the time of the
Tribulation, not today!

The
entire King James Bible is written FOR us, but it is not all written TO
us!
We
learn from the "For" and we try to apply the 'TO!"
