"Already Gone"
is Already Wrong"
|
Part II
There is a popular
'new' book out called "Already Gone" - it supposedly tells folks how to
stop their children and teens from leaving the church. Their alarming
statistics and numbers are worth noting, but it doesn't take much to look
around your church and find your kids are 'already gone.'
Their solutions, however, are tremendously
wrong as well as hugely hypocritical. In fact, according to the KJB,
the solutions in their book will actually make things worse than when the
parents first started to try to "fix" things.
This is just
an outline of the pm audio sermon part II - the audios have much
more information than these notes - I read quotes and their suggested solutions
as well as show what the KJB says about it all.
Conclusion: I do not
support this book at all! Both points the author makes are correct
as to why the kids are leaving, but their solutions / answers are horrendously
wrong - unscriptural - are to be considered false gospel and will only
help them usher in the antichrist!
Part
I - P.M.. service audio sermon notes
He is off to
the wrong start - he uses an NASB, NOT a King James Bible.
He supports
the old traditional church, no matter what denomination, so to him, his
answer to the worlds problems is 'the church.'
Why does he
write this book? for money - see page 34-36 - for AIG.
It is all
about him and who he is to write this book - Pages 26 & 35.
He sites facts
on the numbers of folks that don't believe the bible is true, while he
uses an NASB!!!!!
Isn't it obvious
why young people see the hypocrisy there?
Not all kids
are stupid, ya know. They hear what they are told and they see what
they see after they are told!
He made good
comments about the lack of success from Sunday Schools over the year.
My observations
are as follows:
-
lack of home support
-
only 45 minutes
a week will not rescue anyone!
-
It has to be entertaining
and fun
-
parents shrug
off the duties at home and expect the SS teacher to do it all for them!
-
teachers are often
accused of being too hard on Jane and johnny - too demanding, etc.
He does mention
another book, that I am sure is equally as wrong as this one, "Why Men
Hate Going to Church!"
War today is
a christian culture war, not a biblical war / Cultural relevance vs Biblical
revelation from a KJB.
These are
a few of my own observations with 13 years as a pastor as well as many
years in education as
I also am now am seeing must about all the young homeschool kids preparing
to be gone when their door is opened!
-
More often than
not, some kids are RIGHT in leaving the church. They have more guts than
their parents!
-
Families have
broken down:
-
weak men
-
strong women
-
roles are reversed
-
even if the proper
roles are preached, the changes never take place.
-
Boys and dad laugh
about dad's antiques of his old nature - hahaha - so the kids develop that
same desire to laugh about the works of the flesh.
-
Daughters and
moms laugh about all the 'tom-boy' things they did when they were young
- and the work in the fields, etc.
-
Kids are treated
like gods and goddesses - nothing gets done around the house unless it
is geared the kids in some form or another.
-
Some still become
Demas's!
-
- well, look at
how much world is within the home! Are the parents really surprised?
-
Nobody despised
the past nor did they destroy the magnificance of the worlds ways and religions,
etc.
-
Great Commission
manner of life within the home:
-
Strict obedience
or chastised, and even worse, very inconsistently!
-
Mixed parent response
over 'rules.'
-
Not backed up
within the family as the family manner of life -just a time to blow a temper
or two as they demand strict obedience
-
Makes them into
angry little Jesus haters - just like what happened to the Jews throughout
the Gospels.
-
Parents to the
thinking for them - 'say thank you,' etc.
-
Parents design
the happiness or else activity!
-
The parents, especially
the mothers believe they can educate them to make them a Christian!
-
If the parents
seek happiness from the world, why not the kids.
-
They all trust
in uncertain riches.
-
Not real in the
home - not comfortable - not natural day to day
-
No joy or peace
- just happiness and new toys to quiet them down for now!
-
Relative influence
- leaving your young kids with a relative that tries to undermine your
teachings!
-
Evil communication
certainly hurts the kids and manipulates their brains and cells, etc.
-
They are educated
out of what God has already put in them. Colossians 2:8; Romans 1
-
Kids are a nuisance
to many parents today - only a tax write-off.
-
Parents try to
be their kids' friends - and drop the authority and boundaries!
-
Mom's are too
close to their boys / stroking their hair in church, holding hands, comforting
them and distracting them through a hard sermon aimed at that teen! along
with all that motherly affection stuff
-
Too much authority
given to mom.
-
Moms run the house
with their emotions!
-
Kids are not taught
nor do they have to live what Paul preaches - Philippians
4:9 - nor so they even see it within the
home!
AIG solution?
-
Take America and the world back to creation and follow Gods' design!
-
In other words, they encourage you to go back to Genesis in your manner
life and teachings.
-
This all is a result of evolutional teachings.
-
Hey - don't they know God's creation has been cursed and the Risen Saviour
is to whom to look to - through Paul!
-
They want you to buy their book!
Summary:
-
They believe that the young people today have not been taught to defend
the word of God.
-
The NASB? the NIV? What baloney is that!
-
They believe that the young people need to see the word lived with in the
home!
-
Sure - the gospels? the OT law? The tribulation laws?
no - They should see PAUL's manner of life with and because of the Risen
Saviour!! Philippians 4:9
He sees the church as the answer - the authority of the church
- and that is nothing any more different than a catholic church!
Don't buy the Book!
It is a washout - it only explains the problem the but
their solution will only make things worse!
The King James Bible has all the answers and proper direction!

The
entire King James Bible is written FOR us, but it is not all written TO
us!
We
learn from the "For" and we try to apply the 'TO!"
