Furthermore then we beseech you, brethren,
and exhort you by the Lord Jesus,
that as ye have received of us how ye ought
to walk and to please God,
so ye would abound more and more.
I Thessalonians 4:1
That was our first verse that started us looking
into following the Risen Saviour through Paul.
We know about spiritual blessings - Ephesians
1:3
We know about wisdom that could help us work the physical blessings
- Ephesians 1:8,17
Now my question is, "Are you abounding more and more based on your
learning of the walk - yet?"
Here are some ways
the risen Saviour would have us abound:
Philippians 4:15-19
-
Paul desires we have fruit abounding to our account!
-
Fruit as a parent!
-
Fruit as a father
-
Fruit as a man
-
Fruit as a woman!
-
Fruit as a wife!
-
Fruit as a young person
-
See I Timothy 4:12-16 - that others
may hear - thus your fruit!
Philippians 1:9-11
-
Abound in our love to grow in judgment, etc. = fruits of righteousness
II Corinthians 8:7,8
-
Abound in:
-
every thing
-
faith
-
utterance
-
knowledge
-
diligence
-
love to Paul, KJB, etc.
-
abounding all in grace!
II Corinthians 1:3-11
-
Abound in sufferings of Christ AND consolations AND comfort
Romans 15:13
Romans 5:15-21
Colossians 2:6-7
-
Abound in thanksgiving
-
Having thanksgiving instead of doubt, etc. will keep you from being beguiled,
etc.
-
Note the verses before and after - see verse 4
and verse 8.

The
entire King James Bible is written FOR us, but it is not all written TO
us!
We
learn from the "For" and we try to apply the 'TO!"
