Remember, the Gospels are still in the Old Testament doctrinally!

Gospels are not TO us!
However, there is plenty within the Gospels FOR us!

We continue to see that Mark is just more continuation
of the sources of most false teachings today.

1. Sounds like young people today - or lost person - or someone 'returned' to the god of this world...

Mark 9:14-29

a dumb spirit
he teareth him
foameth
gnasheth with his teeth
pineth away

To languish; to lose flesh or wear away under any distress of anxiety of mind;

faithless generation
fell on the ground
wallowed foaming

To roll ones body on the earth, in mire, or on other substance;

since a child
cast into the fire
cast into the waters
the need for prayer and fasting

Or how about a rightly divided KJB as you learn to follow the Risen Christ through Paul teachings, example and manner of life?

Today? uh, right!

4. House of prayer?

Mark 11:17
Paul - pray without ceasing!

I Thessalonians 5:17 - Pray without ceasing.

Individuals more than group assemblies and 'churches.'

Nothing against churches - they can exist as a place of ministry, edification, etc.

5. Their own faith, not the faith of Jesus!

Habakkuk 2:4 - ...the just shall live by his faith.

Typical of today's modern Great Commission styled Christianity - the talk is about THEIR faith..

Comments from Franklin Graham in China, Lutheran boy's faith in the paper, my mom's, Catholic faith, everyone's 'faith' is the drawing card and 'talk of the town.'

Mark 5:34 - ... thy faith hath made thee whole...
Mark 10:52 - ... thy faith hath made thee whole...

6. Paul's faith teachings:

Sounds like the same thing... faith in / toward Jesus Christ.

Of course, faith in...

Galatians 3:26
Ephesians 1:15
Colossians 2:5

But there is also the Faith OF Jesus

they reject / ignore - all from Paul!

Shipwrecked faith

Dropping our 'shield' of faith leads us to shipwreck, and then off we go to Satan

Wandering from moral rectitude; licentious; dissolute; indulging in sensuality without restraint; as men grown wanton by prosperity.
More appropriately, deviating from the rules of chastity; lewd; lustful; lascivious; libidinous.
Disposed to unchastity; indicating wantonness.
Loose; unrestrained; running to excess.

Can't lose HIS faith

II Timothy 2:13 - If we believe not, yet he abideth faithful: he cannot deny himself.

7. They sought to kill him

They do the same with us trying to follow Paul and a rightly divided KJB!
