Pastor's Testimony

Proper Meditation
Psalm 49:3  My mouth shall speak of wisdom; and the meditation of my heart shall be of understanding.
Psalm 119:99  I have more understanding than all my teachers: for thy testimonies are my meditation.
Psalm 63:6  When I remember thee upon my bed, and meditate on thee in the night watches.
Psalm 149:5  Let the saints be joyful in glory: let them sing aloud upon their beds.

Obeying "rightly divided" commandments
Psalm 111:10  The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: a good understanding have all they that do his commandments: his praise endureth for ever.
Psalm 119:34  Give me understanding, and I shall keep thy law; yea, I shall observe it with my whole heart.
Psalm 119:72,73  The law of thy mouth is better unto me than thousands of gold and silver.  Thy hands have made me and fashioned me: give me understanding, that I may learn thy commandments.

Proper understanding comes from His mouth
Psalm 119:169   Let my cry come near before thee, O LORD: give me understanding according to thy word.
Proverbs 2:6  For the LORD giveth wisdom: out of his mouth cometh knowledge and understanding.
Proverbs 7:24 Hearken unto me now therefore, O ye children, and attend to the words of my mouth.
Psalm 119:130  The entrance of thy words giveth light; it giveth understanding unto the simple.
Deuteronomy 32:1  Give ear, O ye heavens, and I will speak; and hear, O earth, the words of my mouth.
Psalm 29  The voice of the LORD is... upon the waters... powerful... full of majesty... breaketh the cedars... divideth the flames of fire... shaketh the wilderness... maketh the hinds to calve... discovereth the forests...
Proverbs 8:8,9  All the words of my mouth are in righteousness; there is nothing froward or perverse in them. They are all plain to him that understandeth, and right to them that find knowledge.
Psalm 33:6  By the word of the LORD were the heavens made; and all the host of them by the breath of his mouth.
Exodus 15:26  ... diligently listen to the voice of the LORD thy God...
Luke 24:45  Then opened he their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures,

You will learn to hate properly!
Are people evil - or is it sin that they are attached to?
Psalm 119:104  Through thy precepts I get understanding: therefore I hate every false way.
Romans 12:9  Let love be without dissimulation. Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good.

Gives you a good life
Psalm 119:144  The righteousness of thy testimonies is everlasting: give me understanding, and I shall live.
Proverbs 9:6  Forsake the foolish, and live; and go in the way of understanding.
Proverbs 12:11  He that tilleth his land shall be satisfied with bread: but he that followeth vain persons is void of understanding.
Proverbs 13:15  Good understanding giveth favour: but the way of transgressors is hard. (for you and/or for others - kids, too!)
Proverbs 14:33  Wisdom resteth in the heart of him that hath understanding: but that which is in the midst of fools is made known.
Proverbs 17:24  Wisdom is before him that hath understanding; but the eyes of a fool are in the ends of the earth.
Proverbs 17:27  He that hath knowledge spareth his words: and a man of understanding is of an excellent spirit.
Proverbs 19:8  He that getteth wisdom loveth his own soul: he that keepeth understanding shall find good.
Proverbs 21:16  The man that wandereth out of the way of understanding shall remain in the congregation of the dead.  (this speaks directly to Christians and the religious in their churches that have no rightly dividing!)
Proverbs 24:30,31   I went by the field of the slothful, and by the vineyard of the man void of understanding; And, lo, it was all grown over with thorns, and nettles had covered the face thereof, and the stone wall thereof was broken down.  (life falls apart and those thorns, etc. choke the word - see Luke 8:14)

Seek proper counsel
Proverbs 1:5  A wise man will hear, and will increase learning; and a man of understanding shall attain unto wise counsels:
Proverbs 15:14  The heart of him that hath understanding seeketh knowledge: but the mouth of fools feedeth on foolishness.
Proverbs 20:5  Counsel in the heart of man is like deep water; but a man of understanding will draw it out.
Psalm 1:1-3  Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.  But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.  And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.

Find's true happiness
Proverbs 3:13  Happy is the man that findeth wisdom, and the man that getteth understanding.

What to include in your child's education
    Proverbs 4:1-7 and entire chapter
Proverbs 5:1 - gives you discretion and protects you - read entire chapter

Understanding is a result of knowledge of the holy
Proverbs 9:10  The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding.  (Holy Bible, RD in holiness, holy soul, etc.)

Keeps you going for the Lord
Proverbs 2:11  Discretion shall preserve thee, understanding shall keep thee:
I Corinthians 10:12 Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall.
    Philippians 1:12 But I would ye should understand, brethren, that the things which happened unto me have fallen out rather unto the furtherance of the gospel;
Proverbs 15:21  Folly is joy to him that is destitute of wisdom: but a man of understanding walketh uprightly.

Saves you a spanking
No judgment from God 'yet!!'  But there are consequences and afflictions we have to deal with daily!
Proverbs 10:23  It is as sport to a fool to do mischief: but a man of understanding hath wisdom.  (they think about it, they snicker, they chuckle, they enjoy, they plan, and they go on eventually to major pleasure as stated in Romans 1:32 - the leaven process of mischief to wickedness)
Proverbs 15:32  He that refuseth instruction despiseth his own soul: but he that heareth reproof getteth understanding.
Proverbs 10:13  In the lips of him that hath understanding wisdom is found: but a rod is for the back of him that is void of understanding.

Understanding is not for sale
Proverbs 23:23  Buy the truth, and sell it not; also wisdom, and instruction, and understanding.
Pay the instructor but not the instruction, etc.   the labourer is worthy of his hire.  I Timothy 5:17 Let the elders that rule well be counted worthy of double honour, especially they who labour in the word and doctrine.

Makes for a great home
Proverbs 24:3  Through wisdom is an house builded; and by understanding it is established: (from a house to a home)
Proverbs 22:6 Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.  (more and more KJB parents are finding out that they didn't train up their child right - not rightly divided - today's modern parent will never know until either their judgment seat or the white throne!)

True assurance of understanding is a comfort that most don't know!
That their hearts might be comforted, being knit together in love, and unto all riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the acknowledgment of the mystery of God, and of the Father, and of Christ;

It is the true peace of God from the God of peace!
Philippians 4:6-9

Do you have those riches?
You can if you learn to rightly divide the word of truth!
II Timothy 2:15,16
Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed,
rightly dividing the word of truth.
But shun profane and vain babblings:
for they will increase unto more ungodliness.

(and root out, pull down, destroy, throw down those vain babblings -
along with the things in your life that have resulted from vain babblings! (Jeremiah 1:10)
