The
entire King James Bible is written FOR us, but it is not all written TO
us!
We
learn from the "For" and study Paul's writings to apply the 'TO!"

Rightly Divided Mysteries in
the King James Bible
|
Part I - a.m.
Part II - p.m.
Note:
No mysteries are mentioned in the Old Testament!
Gospels
Disciples
were given to know:
-
A. Kingdom
of heaven
-
The disciples (verse
10) had their own opportunity to know the mystery of the kingdom
of heaven!
-
Matthew 13:11
- He answered and said unto them, Because
it is given unto you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven,
but to them it is not given.
-
B. Kingdom
of God
-
The disciples
(verse 9)
even had their own opportunity to know the mystery of the kingdom of God!
-
Luke 8:10 -
And
he said, Unto you it is given to know the mysteries of the kingdom of
God: but to others in parables; that seeing they might not see, and
hearing they might not understand.
-
Jesus spoke to
the others in parables.
-
Why?
-
Verses 15,16,17-
then read 12,13
-
Note that today,
we have even more than they - we have it all written and preserved!
Paul's
Epistles
Paul's people
were to be stewards of the mysteries of God.
-
I Corinthians
4:1 - Let a man so account of us, as of
the ministers of Christ, and stewards of the mysteries of God.
-
That doesn't mean
they had to be able to explain them, because we can't!
-
We are only to
keep them going on through time.
-
Today, the King
James Bible is to be the steward of the mysteries of God - NOT CHANGED
or deleted!
-
Keep this Book
- who cares about what others think!
-
I Corinthians
4:2-4 - Moreover
it is required in stewards, that a man be found faithful. But with me it
is a very small thing that I should be judged of you, or of man's judgment:
yea, I judge not mine own self. For I know nothing by myself; yet
am I not hereby justified: but he that judgeth me is the Lord.
We
can not be ignorant of this Mystery, lest we...!
-
Romans 11:25
- For I would not, brethren, that ye should
be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits;
that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the
Gentiles be come in.
-
There is more
to the story of the Jews today!
-
Christ brings
both Jews and Gentiles together!!
-
Ephesians 2:11-22
-
Especially verses
17-21 - And
came and preached peace to you which were afar off, and to them
that were nigh. For through him we both have access by one Spirit
unto the Father. Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners,
but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household
of God; And are built upon the foundation of the
apostles and
prophets,
Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone; In whom all the building
fitly framed together groweth unto an holy temple in the Lord:
There
were two mysteries that Paul did reveal!
Mystery
of his will!
-
Gather all together!
-
Ephesians 1:9-12
- Having made known unto us the mystery
of his will, according to his good pleasure which he hath purposed in himself:
That in the dispensation of the fulness of times he might gather together
in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on
earth; even in him: In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being
predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after
the counsel of his own will: That we should be to the praise of his glory,
who first trusted in Christ.
-
Ephesians 1:4
- According as he hath chosen us in him
before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without
blame before him in love:
Mystery of
Christ
-
It is all about
the gospel of the Risen Christ!
-
It sure seems
like a mystery these days!
-
Ephesians 3:3,4
- How that by revelation he made known
unto me the mystery; (as I wrote afore in few words, Whereby, when ye read,
ye may understand my knowledge in the mystery of Christ)
-
Colossians
4:3 - Withal praying also for us, that
God would open unto us a door of utterance, to speak the mystery of Christ,
for which I am also in bonds:
-
The gospel of
the Risen Christ should not be a mystery today!
-
I Corinthians
4:17 - For this cause have I sent unto
you Timotheus, who is my beloved son, and faithful in the Lord, who shall
bring you into remembrance of my ways which be in Christ, as I teach every
where in every church.
-
The two mysteries
lead up to this one!
-
Ephesians 3:5-7
- That the Gentiles should be fellowheirs,
and of the same body, and partakers of his promise in Christ by the gospel:
Whereof I was made a minister, according to the gift of the grace of God
given unto me by the effectual working of his power.
-
Kept hid in God
throughout the past!
-
Ephesians 3:5
- Which in other ages was not made known
unto the sons of men, as it is now revealed unto his holy apostles and
prophets by the Spirit;
-
Romans 16:25
- Now to him that is of power to stablish
you according to my gospel, and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according
to the revelation of the mystery, which was kept secret since the world
began,
-
Ephesians 3:9
- And to make all men see what is the fellowship
of the mystery, which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in
God, who created all things by Jesus Christ:
-
Colossians
1:26 - Even the mystery which hath been
hid from ages and from generations, but now is made manifest to his saints:
-
The riches of
the glory of this mystery!
-
Colossians
1:27 - To whom God would make known what
is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is
Christ in you, the hope of glory:
Mystery of
Paul's Gospel!
-
Paul opened his
mouth to make known this mystery!
-
Ephesians 6:19
- And for me, that utterance may be given
unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of
the gospel,
-
Paul wanted us
to learn of his affairs -his manner of life!
-
Philippians
4:9
-
II Timothy
3:10
-
It is not a mystery
anymore - it was made known to us through through Tychicus - who wrote
it all down!
verses
20-22 - For which I am an ambassador in
bonds: that therein I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak. But that ye
also may know my affairs, and how I do, Tychicus, a beloved brother and
faithful minister in the Lord, shall make known to you all things: Whom
I have sent unto you for the same purpose, that ye might know our affairs,
and that he might comfort your hearts.
The
Other Mysteries
Mystery
of the Wisdom of God
-
I Corinthians
2:7 - But we speak the wisdom of God in
a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world
unto our glory:
-
They spoke it
- we have it in print!
The Mystery
of the Rapture
-
We know it will
happen, but we can't explain how, etc.
-
It is not a secret,
like the 7th Day Disadventists claim.
-
It's all right
here - in ye ole' King James Bible!
-
I Corinthians
15:51 - Behold, I shew you a mystery; We
shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,
-
I Thessalonians
4:14 - For if we believe that Jesus died
and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with
him. For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are
alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which
are asleep. For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout,
with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead
in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be
caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air:
and so shall we ever be with the Lord. Wherefore comfort one another with
these words.
-
Romans 11:25
-
For
I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest
ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened
to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in.
A GREAT Mystery
- Christ and the Church
-
Ephesians 5:32
- This is a great mystery: but I speak
concerning Christ and the church.
-
Apostasy is more than 'just' in the church.
-
II Thessalonians 2:3 -
Let
no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there
come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of
perdition;
-
We don't have to be in the synagogues, tabernacles,
etc.
-
Purpose of the local church today
-
Ephesians 4:11-16
-
Not Acts 2:38-47
-
Remember - God is no longer in the building!
-
Acts 2:24,25 - God
that made the world and all things therein, seeing that he is Lord of heaven
and earth, dwelleth not in temples made with hands; Neither is worshipped
with men's hands, as though he needed any thing, seeing he giveth to all
life, and breath, and all things;
-
Universal / Invisible Church is not the local church!
-
Ephesians 5:30-32 - For
we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones... ... This
is a great mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and the church.
-
Today - we are to do the work of an evangelist, and
evangelists do not stick around to build churches buildings.
-
II Timothy 4:5 -
But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist,
make full proof of thy ministry.
-
Even some of Paul's people met within their own homes!
-
Romans 16:3-5 -
Likewise greet the church that is in their house
-
I Corinthians 16:19 - The
churches of Asia salute you. Aquila and Priscilla salute you much in the
Lord, with the church that is in their house.
-
Colossians 4:15 - Salute
the brethren which are in Laodicea, and Nymphas, and the church which is
in his house.
-
Philemon 1:2 -
And to our beloved Apphia, and Archippus our fellowsoldier, and to the
church in thy house:
Mystery of
God
-
Colossians
2:2 - That their hearts might be comforted,
being knit together in love, and unto all riches of the full assurance
of understanding, to the acknowledgment of the mystery of God, and of the
Father, and of Christ;
-
See Revelation
10:7 for this mystery of God being finished!
Mystery of
Iniquity
-
II Thessalonians
2:7 - For the mystery of iniquity doth
already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of
the way. +++
Mystery of
the Faith
-
I Timothy 3:9
- Holding the mystery of the faith in a
pure conscience.
Mystery of
Godliness
-
I Timothy 3:16
- And without controversy great is the
mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit,
seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received
up into glory.
-
II Timothy
2:15,16 - Study to shew thyself approved
unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the
word of truth. But shun profane and vain babblings: for they will increase
unto more ungodliness.
Future
Mysteries to Be Solved
The Seven
Churches
-
Revelation
1:20 - The mystery of the seven stars which
thou sawest in my right hand, and the seven golden candlesticks. The seven
stars are the angels of the seven churches: and the seven candlesticks
which thou sawest are the seven churches.
Conclusion
of the Mystery of God
-
Revelation
10:7 - But in the days of the voice of
the seventh angel, when he shall begin to sound, the mystery of God should
be finished, as he hath declared to his servants the prophets.
Mystery of
the Woman - Babylon
-
Revelation
17:5 - And upon her forehead was a name
written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS
OF THE EARTH.
-
Revelation
17:7 - And the angel said unto me, Wherefore
didst thou marvel? I will tell thee the mystery of the woman, and of the
beast that carrieth her, which hath the seven heads and ten horns.
-
Revelation
17:18 - And the woman which thou sawest
is that great city, which reigneth over the kings of the earth.
