Along my continually growing list of music sermons & studies, I have three sermons that are done with PowerPoint that explain my charts in detail. I also am in the process of writing a book on what the Bible says about music. God has also allowed me to be an encouragement in guiding church musicians - especially the pianists and song leaders.
Your prayers are greatly appreciated along with your support and encouragement. This is NOT usually a very popular subject with most of the brethren, including most pastors, but being Bible Believers that we are, we need not be offended at the truth even when it comes to music. We all have music that "we like," but what "we like" is not the issue here - we ought to be concerned about music and how it stands approved of God, not ourselves!

In response to many reader questions, this is my short personal review of a few of the older songs sung by the popular Sound Doctrine musical group. For a group that doesn't have any drums, they sure do tend to appeal to the flesh with their rhythms. Nice group - nice men - i am sure they mean well, but they still feed the flesh. |
