It is time to say this famous phrase...
"I Said All That to Say This..."

We must now go and read about Satan's work with 'good music' as he goes ...

Beyond the Mozart Effect

Read carefully this direct quote from one of the resource pages advertising The Mozart Effect tapes:

The Mozart Effect:
Tapping the Power of Music to Heal the Body, Strengthen the Mind, and
Unlock the Creative Spirit by Don Campbell.

Drawing on medicine, Eastern wisdom, and the latest research on learning and creativity, Campbell reveals how exposure to sound, music, and other forms of vibration, beginning in utero, can have a lifelong effect on health, learning and behavior.

He shows how to use sound and music to stimulate learning and memory; how to strengthen listening abilities; how to use imagery to enhance The Mozart Effect; and how to harness the power of toning, chanting, mantras, rap, and other self-generated sounds.

Hey, Bible-believer - do you see some warning words there?
Power of Music
Creative Spirit
Eastern wisdom
forms of vibration
imagery
enhance
harness the power of...
toning
chanting
mantras
self-generating sounds

Need I say more?

There is no power of music to a Christian!

Our power is not only from God, it is God - through Jesus Christ - by the Holy Spirit - with the Word of God - which are the words of God.

We are to control our creative spirit!

II Cor 10:5 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;

We are NOT to turn to Eastern wisdom!

Isaiah 2:6 Therefore thou hast forsaken thy people the house of Jacob,
because they be replenished from the east...

Already they want to 'enhance' The Mozart Effect!  Now, they grab ahold of King James Bible Believing people along with many other 'good' people who know better than to listen to rock music, jazz, new age music.  They bring back the pure music; the absolute music days of Mozart, Bach, Handel.  Once they have those people quenching the Holy Spirit and turning to the power of music, then Satan can take them into his next steps.  What are the next steps?  Read the paragraph again - calling music 'forms of vibration'; expanding their 'imagery'; learning 'toning', 'chanting' and 'mantras'; using their own 'self-generated sounds'.

Satan is now ready to

'ENHANCE' THE 'MOZART EFFECT'

with anyone who has turned to good music instead of the Holy Spirit!

Like Satan has done with everything else in this world,
The Mozart Effect is a good thing - twisted!

Such a trick!   Such subtlety!  Such a devil!  Satan is using GOOD MUSIC to keep people from finding the true Holy Spirit & thus the True God.  Satan is using GOOD MUSIC to even rob the Bible-believing Christian of the power of the Holy Ghost in their life.

Be sober, be vigilant;
because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion,
walketh about, seeking whom he may devour
1 Peter 5:8

And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone...
and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever.
Rev 20:10

Read on for amazing details of the demonic use of good music!

The following pages will give you more specifics about just how far the demonic use of this "Mozart Effect" music will be taken.  They have taken the purest and cleanest music that was written for God's glory and have turned it into a power in itself.  Man does a wonderful job of taking what God creates and making it into something that man has done.

Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools, And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things.

Romans 1:21-23

From a book review of The Mozart Effect found at  http://www.bison.com/healing/mozart.html
the following are highlites regarding the ungodly use of the music from the Mozart Effect.

Note that I have color noted some key words to see specific comments for a Christian to be especially aware of.

Vibrational Medicine
If you've ever wondered why singing in the shower left you feeling somehow better, read Don Campbell's The Mozart Effect. You'll find out that you are instinctively putting yourself back in balance1. The vocal chords generate frequencies - vibrations - that match the frequencies of your own body2, lighting them up and strengthening them. All the molecules of your being resonate to the sound waves set up in your skull and chest cavity. Your intonation and delivery perfectly express whatever emotional condition you're in, giving that energy wave expression and flow. You unblock. You feel3 better because singing integrates mind and body. It doesn't matter how good it is, it doesn't matter if it is at all on pitch. The vibrations and the breath do the work.

While you are finding out that singing in the shower - and in the rain, and at funerals, and in church4 and while you are dancing or even while you work - is good for you, you will also find out that the research on the use of sound for healing has progressed a very long way since the first shaman5 shook a rattle, danced and sang, following his instincts and leading his tribe in ritual. Today, numerous scientific studies, as well as innumerable testimonies, bear out the effects of sound waves on the human being6.

But you don't have to leave this journey in the universe of sound to the intellect and science. The book includes a number of exercises you can do yourself to test out the techniques presented in the text. Nearly all of these "interludes" require access to a record collection of some depth; however, he does give you a few that require only your own voice. And these, perhaps, are the best of all.

As Campbell points out, the human voice is the original sound healing instrument. You cannot make a sound with your voice that does not resonate throughout your entire skeletal structure. Given that each of us, as Gershwin is quoted as saying, has our particular resonant note, you are bound to eventually hit it if you just keep singing long enough7. And when you do, you will know it.

The majority of techniques cited in the book rely on the human anatomy's responsiveness to the frequencies of sound waves. You already know sound waves are more "solid" than, say, light waves, because you can feel the pressure of a bass guitar against your rib cage. To make the point even more concrete, see what sound waves do to loose sand sprinkled on a drum head and then subjected to a steady note from a speaker. The grains eventually align themselves into patterns. (This effect, and more, have been studied extensively under the name cymatics.) Now imagine the molecules of your body as grains of sand and you get the basic principle.

As Campbell and a number of the experts he interviews in the book explain, the key is entrainment, the sustained alignment of your molecules and waves to a particular vibration8.

But we are more than just molecules. Consider brain waves and sound waves. Both resonate at a certain frequency and it has long been known that certain types of brain waves (alpha, beta, theta) can be evoked by conducive sound waves (or music). We are not only susceptible to sound frequencies on a molecular level, but a thought wave level as well. We can use sound to entrain our thoughts to produce particular waves - frequencies - that in turn are natural means of flooding ourselves with calming or energizing hormones. We have our own "hum" that changes with our moods, our health and our thoughts and we can change that hum with external sound stimuli.

Campbell does not take his inquiry into the physics of sound healing much beyond the empirical evidence gathered by modern science. Other researchers and practitioners have written books that delve extensively into the why and how of sound healing, invariably leading the reader into the world of vibrational medicine. For this is the essence of sound healing: vibrational medicine. We are energy beings. We vibrate. We respond to internally generated vibration and we respond to externally generated vibration. Apply the right vibration, and you can correct nearly any energetic imbalance. It is such imbalances that result in disorder and disease.

There are many amazing stories, and much hard science9, and a large number of cautious assertions about the use of sound to move and heal us in this book.

Footnoted Preaching Comments from Pastor Paulson
1
Job 31:6  Let me be weighed in an even balance, that God may know mine integrity.
Proverbs 11:1  A false balance is abomination to the LORD: but a just weight is his delight.

2, 8

We have been preaching about 'sympathetic vibrations' for years.   The vibrations in rock music have done terrible damage to the listener.  The vibrations of rock music never do line up with the body pulse, etc. and the result is stress and a negative body response.  That is why listening to heavy beat music, syncopation, etc. caused sickness, violence, etc. in our teenagers and now they are our adults today.  Even the beach boys knew about 'good vibrations', although their vibrations were 'bad vibrations'.

3, 4

The desire today in most people today is how the music makes you 'feel'.  Today, Christians are just more than ready to accept this whole Mozart Effect philosophy as it has become very important to Christians as to how the music in church makes you 'feel'.

5

Certainly is not an instrument from Japheth's line of instruments.

6

More on the use of 'sympathetic vibrations'.  Preachers used to preach 'against' that.  I wonder if they will start preaching 'for' that very soon?

7

Same philosophy as learning how to 'speak in tongues'.  "Just cackle like a chicken, lady - you will eventually get it."

1 Timothy 6:20 O Timothy, keep that which is committed to thy trust, avoiding profane and vain babblings, and oppositions of science falsely so called:

"Great" Musicians speak on Sound, Spirit, and Heart

A Christian can certainly observe the 'Eastern touch' in the quotes of these famous musicians.
I also wonder how many of you will see that all of this is the total public school philosophy?
Children are already being taught all of this in the school music curriculum's across the nation!
In fact, even home-school curriculums are being interjected with these philosophies

Music is truly love itself, the purest, most ethereal language of the emotions,
embodying all their changing colors in every variety of shading and nuance.
Carl Maria von Weber

The goods of this world are most dear to me, but much dearer are peace of mind and my own honor.
Claudio Monteverdi

The marvels of God are not brought forth from one's self.
Rather, it is more like a chord, a sound that is played.
The tone does not come out of the chord itself,  but rather, through the touch of the musician.
I am, of course, the lyre and harp of God's kindness.
Hildegard of Bingen

That which draws us by its mystical force; what every created thing,
even the very stones, feels with absolute certainty as the center of its being... is the force of love.
Christians call this "eternal blessedness." It is a necessity of man for growth and joy.
Gustav Mahler

Our music, whose eternal being is forever bound up in its temporal sounds, is not merely an art,
enriching beyond measure our cultural life, but also a message from higher worlds,
raising and urging us on by its reminders of our own eternal origins.
Bruno Walter

Music, being identical with Heaven, isn't a thing of momentary thrills, or even hourly ones:
it's a condition of eternity.
Gustav Holst

Healing happens between the notes.
I had to allow the space and not be afraid, and to know that things happen in space.
You have to let the space settle.
If you let go, you transcend and experience the stillness, and that is the healing.
One ingredient of health is rest. Activity comes from inactivity.
The basis of sound is silence. Stillness is basic to health.
Paul Horn

We are living in a world where the individual must learn to command the raw materials of expression.
He must not be dependent all the time on the ready-made, the finished product.
It's the transferring, the changing of the raw into what is the expression of your own self.
The whole joy and satisfaction and frustration of life is built into this.
Yehudi Menuhin

I shall go forth, against all sorts of things, towards bright, strong and righteous aims,
towards a genuine art that loves mankind, lives with his joys, his grief and his sufferings.
Modest Mussorgsky

We are one of the leaves of the tree. The tree is all of humanity.
We cannot live without the other leaves of the tree.
We need intelligence, and when there is intelligence, there is love.
Pablo Casals
Music can be all things to all persons. It is like a great dynamic sun in the center of a solar system which sends out its rays and inspiration in every direction. Music makes us feel that the heavens open and a divine voice calls. Something in our souls responds and understands.
Leopold Stokowski
Almost unconsciously, the very old memory of a ringing of bells came to me when, in evening during my childhood, this sound wafted across from the west, from a village called Gadirac. Musing on this, I began to dream. But it would be difficult to describe this vagueness in words. Isn't it often that an exterior event fills us with these kinds of thoughts, so imprecise that in reality they are not thoughts but something in which we take pleasure. Perhaps the desire for things that do not exist. And that is really the domain of music.
Gabriel Faure

Every second we live is a new and unique moment of the universe, a moment that never was before and never will be again. And what do we teach our children in school? We teach them that two and two make four and that Paris is the capital of France. We should say to each of them, "Do you know who you are? You are a marvel. You are unique. In the millions of years that have passed, there has never been another child like you."

Pablo Casals

It seemed impossible to leave the world until I had produced all that I felt called upon to produce, and so I endured this wretched existence - an excitable body which a sudden change can throw  from the best into the worst state. Patience I must now choose for my guide, and I have done so.  Divine One, thou lookest into my inmost soul, thou knowest it, thou knowest that love of man and desire to do good live therein.
Beethoven

Music possesses much richer means of expression and it is a more subtle medium for translating the 1000 shifting moments of the feelings of the soul.
Peter Ilich Tchaikovsky

I believe in a passionately strong feeling for the poetry of life - for the beautiful, the mysterious, the romantic, the ecstatic - the loveliness of Nature, the lovability of people, everything that excites us, everything that starts our imagination working, LAUGHTER, gaiety, strength, heroism, love, tenderness, every time we see - however dimly - the godlike that is in everyone - and want to kneel in reverence.
Leopold Stokowski

To strip human nature until its divine attributes are made clear, to inform ordinary activities with spiritual fervor, to give wings of eternity to that which is most ephemeral; to make divine things human and human things divine:
to reach the heart of every noble thought...
Pablo Casals, speaking of the music of Johann Sebastian Bach

I stand face to face with the Eternal Energy from which all life flows, and I draw upon that infinite power.
To contact this Eternal Energy, I must conform to certain laws, two of the most important being SOLITUDE and CONCENTRATION. A composer must sit in the silence and wait for the direction from a force that is superior to the intellect.
Max Bruch

The Path of Spiritual Growth

Here are some New Age / Eastern Religion Philosophy Quotations.
Notice how many are good wisdom from the Bible, but have been twisted enough
to make man worship man, instead of God.

Free will does not mean that you establish the curriculum;
only that you can elect what you want to take at a given time.

Paulson Comment: Doesn't that sound like the modern spoiled Christian today?
They want it their way and they want it when they want it!

The important thing is this: To be ready at any moment to sacrifice
what you are for what you could become.

Comment: Very true - one must die to sin and then to self to be what a Christian is to be!

Enlightenment consists not merely in the seeing of luminous shapes and visions, but in making the darkness visible. The latter procedure is more difficult, and therefore, unpopular.

Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.  John 8:12
Then Jesus said unto them, Yet a little while is the light with you. Walk while ye have the light, lest darkness come upon you: for he that walketh in darkness knoweth not whither he goeth. John 12:35
I am come a light into the world, that whosoever believeth on me should not abide in darkness.
John 12:46

that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me. Acts 26:18

Paulson Comments:
But unto every one of us is given grace according to the measure of the gift of Christ. Wherefore he saith, When he ascended up on high, he led captivity captive, and gave gifts unto men. (Now that he ascended, what is it but that he also descended first into the lower parts of the earth? He that descended is the same also that ascended up far above all heavens, that he might fill all things.) Ephesians 4:7-10

I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.  Romans 12:1,2
