The new versions have DELETED 2,886 words
from the Bible. This is the equivalent of First and Second Peter.
These are words that are gone in the new versions. They just don't
exist anymore. Gone with these words are the theology and doctrine
that these words convey.
All of these DELETIONS are in the "Received"
Text and the Textus Receptus texts from which the King James Bible was
translated. Therefore, they DO APPEAR in the King James Version.
Westcott & Hort, and later Nestle and
the United Bible Society, decided that these words should be DELETED from
all new Greek texts. Since the modern so-called Bibles are translated from
these new and inferior Greek texts, these DELETIONS naturally appear in
the majority of the new versons.
I. TOTALLY DELETED WORDS
In some cases, a word has been DELETED in
one verse(s) but it has still been retained in another verse(s). In other
cases, the word is not just DELETED from a verse(s), it is DELETED entirely
from the text of the Bible. These TOTALLY DELETED words can no longer
be found anywhere in the new versions.
Below is a non-exhaustive list of some words
that have been TOTALLY DELETED in the new versions. This list should be
more than sufficient to illustrate the fact that these DELETIONS in the
new versions drastically change the context and doctrine of the Bible.
They are given in no particular order:
Veil
When Jesus died on the cross and declared,
:"It is finished", the veil of the temple was rent from
the top to bottom. The word "veil" is gone.
The veil is what separated the Holy Place
of God from man, and when the veil was rent, that meant that man could
then enter into fellowship with God. Man could now enter into the temple
of God. It meant that man did not have to have a priestly mediator, because
Christ was his mediator, and that man could go directly to God.
Eliminate the veil and what do you have?
You have the Catholic doctrine that you have to confess your sins to a
priest. You have the Catholic doctrine that Mary has to be the mediatrix
and you have the Catholic doctrine that Christ is no longer the only mediator
between God and man. The veil is gone.
Mercy Seat
The term "Mercy Seat" is missing from the modern versions. The mercy seat in heaven is where Jesus' blood was placed so that God could accept his sacrifice for the propitiation of our sins.
Propitiation
Speaking of propitiation, the word "propitiation" is also missing from the new versions. Propitiation means when someone does something on behalf of another. That is why Christ's death was the propitiation for our sins. He died in our place, so that we would not have to die. He shed His blood in our place, so we would not have to shed our blood. The word "propitiation" is gone in the new versions.
Advocate
The Bible says that Jesus is our advocate with the Father, always seated at the right hand of the Father pleading our case before God the Father just as a lawyer would plead with a judge to rule in favor of his client. The word "advocate" is gone in many new versions.
Chaste
The word "chaste" is gone in many of the new versions. I guess that means ladies no longer have to be pure, because we have now translated purity right out of the new versions of the Bible.
Concupiscience
The word "concupiscence" has been taken out of many of the new versions. I guess that means that this specific type of lust is okay, because there is no longer a prohibition against concupiscence.
Carnal and Carnality
The words "carnal" and "carnality" have been taken out of many of the new versions. Carnal means to be fleshly. Carnality means to live or to act after the flesh. It is taken from the new versions.
Impute
The word "impute" is gone. The Bible teaches us in the book of Romans that Christ imputed His righteousness to us, and that is how we can stand before God, justified, because of the imputed righteousness of Christ. That imputation is gone from the new versions.
Fornication
The word fornication in the NIV and other
new versions has been replaced with the word immoral. The word fornication
means sex outside of marriage. The word fornication refers to people
who are shacking up. The word fornication also refers to people who
commit repeated, gross sexual sins outside of marriage, such as the sins
of pedophiles and others similar sins.
The word immoral simply means a contradiction
to or against the mores of society. Well, guess what? Now that
queers are recognized as an alternative lifestyle, that means that homosexuality
is accepted in the mores of our society. Therefore, give it a few more
years and being straight could be considered to be immoral. Think about
it. Lot in Sodom and Gomorrah was the only straight man in the city
limits. The more of his society was to be queer. Lot was immoral
when he lived in Sodom, because he violated the mores of his society.
We live in a generation where there are
more couples who live together outside of marriage than there are couples
who are married. Obviously, the more of our society is sex outside of marriage,
living together outside of marriage, families without marriage. Well,
now I guess us folks who are married are immoral. Do you see how all this
could drastically change the meaning of the Bible? You change the word
fornication to immoral and now things that used to be sins become not sins
and the things that used to be holy can now be interpreted as sins.
Abide and Abiding
The words "abide" and "abiding" have been
removed from the new versions. So much for the old song, "Abide with me,
fast falls the evening tide." Well, I guess we are going to have
to change our hymnals. Abide is not in the Bible anymore, so we have
to write new songs.
II. OTHER DELETED WORDS
The following 200 verses, phrases, and words
have been DELETED from the New Testament in the majority of the modern
so-called Bibles. Some new versions have far more than 200 DELETIONS,
I choose to list these DELETIONS because they are easily found in most
all of the versions. If I were to list every DELETION version by version
the list would be much longer. The point is that every English version
of the New Testament, except the King James Version, will contain at least
200 DELETIONS from the original Greek. You will see by reading the list
that these omisions drastically change the context and meaning of the passage(s)
from which they were DELETED.

having been DELETED in one place may or may not have been TOTALLY DELETED.
