The
entire King James Bible is written FOR us, but it is not all written TO
us!
We
learn from the "For" and study Paul's writings to apply the 'TO!"

Part II
Not
for that we have dominion over your faith, but are helpers of your joy:
for
by faith ye stand.
II
Corinthians 1:24
Have you ever wondered why so many
out here don't get excited about what they learn from this Book?
I have!
-
Don't know the bible issues in the rest
of the country!
-
NW - groups called fringe groups - no
bible - no christianity, fake or real - no big thing about the Great Commission
even - nothing!
-
Not even much of the godliness
denying the power thereof...
-
Only sickos in the big cities carrying
their votes over to us in the smaller areas and country.
Colossians
3:1-3: If ye then be risen with
Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the
right hand of God. Set your affection on things above, not on things on
the earth. For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God.
A. Seek and set our affection
on things on this earth = HAPPINESS
-
Materialism
-
Covetousness
-
Love of money
-
Trust in uncertain riches
-
Entertainment
-
Religion - kingdom of heaven - physical
-
Judgment Seat of Christ works that burn
-
Flesh - Romans
7:25: I thank God through Jesus Christ
our Lord. So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God; but with
the flesh the law of sin.
B. Seek and set our affection
on things above = JOY
-
Spiritual living
-
Prayer = peace
of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds
through Christ Jesus.
-
Trust in the living God, not an unknown
God
-
Paul's manner of life, teachings and
doings
-
Kingdom of God
-
Judgment Seat of Christ rewards
If "A" Christian:
-
We won't even understand B.
-
We don't even desire B.
-
It will be more important to please
man - including yourself!
-
Galatians 1:10
- For do I now persuade men, or God? or
do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the
servant of Christ.
-
If you are religious, then it will be
more important for you to "obey" God than to please God ("B").
If "B" Christian:
-
It will be more important to try to
please God, not man!
-
Galatians 1:10
- For do I now persuade men, or God? or
do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the
servant of Christ.
-
We won't 'over-care' what happens:
-
II Timothy
2:4: No man that warreth entangleth himself
with the affairs of this life; that he may please him who hath chosen him
to be a soldier.
-
on earth - going global without
God, etc.
-
in family - you did what you
could; must leave and life goes on...
-
at work - obey your boss or leave
-
in America - going down global
trail faster and faster
-
Follow the Risen Christ's teachings
through Paul and the KJB...
-
...and all that goes with it in the
NT!

Help for Our Joy
I. Rejoicing in Our Hope
-
ReJOYcing!
-
Romans 12:12
- Rejoicing in hope...
-
Romans 5:2
- By whom also we have access by
faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory
of God.
-
For most folks today, blatant or even
deceived with another Jesus, they have a false hope of:
-
"New Age" movement and the bringing
in of a utopia world!
-
Daily survival based on the government
or helps, etc. !
-
Music either encouraging their flesh
or a false worship of their unknown God!
-
Church 'gain' and 'teachings' geared
to flatter themselves.
-
Their riches, or what is left of them,
anyway...
-
Global growth and success again with
their New America...
We should thank God for the assurance
and confident expectations that we know are ours because of this Bible
and rightly dividing showing us the Risen and Living Jesus Christ!
There was a time that we also
had no hope!
-
When Israel was on the inside, we were
on the outside of it all!
-
We were excluded from the promises of
God!
-
Ephesians 2:12
- That at that time ye were without Christ,
being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants
of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world:
But now... today - RIGHT NOW!
-
Ephesians 2:13
- But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes
were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ.
-
We are no longer are excluded from God's
ways!
-
We are actually made
nigh by the blood of Christ!
-
Ephesians 2:13:
But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by
the blood of Christ.
-
We are made the righteousness of God!
-
2\II Corinthians
5:21: For he hath made him to be
sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of
God in him.
-
Romans 6:18:
Being then made free from sin,...
-
Romans 6:22:
But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your
fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life.
-
Romans 8:2:
For
the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the
law of sin and death.
-
I Corinthians
12:13: For by one Spirit are we all baptized
into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free;
and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.
-
I Corinthians
15:22: For as in Adam all die, even so
in Christ shall all be made alive.
-
Galatians 5:1:
Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free,
and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.
-
Ephesians 1:9:
Having made known unto us the mystery of his will, according to his good
pleasure which he hath purposed in himself:
-
Ephesians 3:3:
How
that by revelation he made known unto me the mystery;...
-
Colossians
1:12: Giving thanks unto the Father, which
hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light:
We should "sorrow not" even as others
which have no hope!
-
I Thessalonians
4:13 - But I would not have you to be ignorant,
brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as
others which have no hope.
-
For those with
a false hope or no hope at all!
-
The door for them is not closed; they
just don't believe the word of truth, the gospel of their salvation!
-
How sad it must be to have no hope watching
this world fall apart and take their money - their riches.
-
Ephesians 1:12-14
-
That
we should be to the praise of his glory, who first trusted in Christ. In
whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel
of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed
with that holy Spirit of promise, Which is the earnest of our inheritance
until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his
glory.
-
We rejoice in our hope but yet are longing
for others who have no hope to receive this living Hope!
This hope can actually change our
mind - and change our lives!
-
Real life transformers!
-
Romans 12:2
- And be not conformed to this world: but
be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what
is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
-
Acts 26:18
- To open their eyes, and to turn them
from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they
may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified
by faith that is in me.
-
Colossians
1:27: To whom God would make known what
is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is
Christ in you, the hope of glory:
-
Titus 2:13:
Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great
God and our Saviour Jesus Christ;
-
II Thessalonians
2:16: Now our Lord Jesus Christ himself,
and God, even our Father, which hath loved us, and hath given us everlasting
consolation and good hope through grace,
-
Philippians
1:20: According to my earnest expectation
and my hope, that in nothing I shall be ashamed, but that with all boldness,
as always, so now also Christ shall be magnified in my body, whether it
be by life, or by death.
-
Romans 15:4:
For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning,
that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.
Now
the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing,
that
ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost.
Romans
15:13
