The Great Commission
-
Matthew 28:19,20 - :
Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the
Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe
all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway,
even unto the end of the world. Amen.
-
Mark 16:14-20 - Afterward
he appeared unto the eleven as they sat at meat, and upbraided them with
their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they believed not them which
had seen him after he was risen. And he said unto them, Go ye into all
the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and
is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.
-
And these signs shall follow them that believe;
In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;
They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall
not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.
-
So then after the Lord had spoken unto them,
he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God.
-
And they went forth, and preached every where,
the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following.
Amen.
To the Jews first!
-
Romans 1:16 - For
I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto
salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the
Greek.
-
Romans 3:1,2 - What
advantage then hath the Jew? or what profit is there of circumcision? Much
every way: chiefly, because that unto them were committed the oracles of
God.
-
John 3:7 - Marvel
not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.
Not to the Gentiles yet!
-
Matthew 6:31-33 - Therefore
take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or,
Wherewithal shall we be clothed? (For after all these things do the Gentiles
seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these
things. But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and
all these things shall be added unto you.
-
Matthew 10:5 - These
twelve Jesus sent forth, and commanded them, saying, Go not into the way
of the Gentiles, and into any city of the Samaritans enter ye not:
-
Matthew 10:18 - And
ye shall be brought before governors and kings for my sake, for a testimony
against them and the Gentiles.
-
Matthew 15:24 - But
he answered and said, I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house
of Israel.
The apostles doctrine during the Great Commission - BEFORE Paul!
|
To the Gentiles! It is that simple!
-
Romans 15:16 - That
I should be the minister of Jesus Christ to the Gentiles, ministering the
gospel of God, that the offering up of the Gentiles might be acceptable,
being sanctified by the Holy Ghost.
-
Acts 13:46
-
Acts 18:6
-
Acts 26:16-18, 20
-
Acts 28:28
-
Ephesians 3:1-9
-
Romans 1:16 - For
I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto
salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the
Greek.
-
Romans 3:29 - Is
he the God of the Jews only? is he not also of the Gentiles? Yes, of the
Gentiles also:
-
Romans 11:11 -
I say then, Have they stumbled that they should fall? God forbid: but rather
through their fall salvation is come unto the Gentiles, for to provoke
them to jealousy.
-
Romans 11:13 - For
I speak to you Gentiles, inasmuch as I am the apostle of the Gentiles,
I magnify mine office:
-
I Corinthians 12:13 - For
by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or
Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into
one Spirit.
-
Galatians 2:8 - (For
he that wrought effectually in Peter to the apostleship of the circumcision,
the same was mighty in me toward the Gentiles:)
-
Colossians 1:27 -
To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery
among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:
-
I Timothy 2:7 - Whereunto
I am ordained a preacher, and an apostle, (I speak the truth in Christ,
and lie not;) a teacher of the Gentiles in faith and verity.
-
II Timothy 1:11 -
Whereunto I am appointed a preacher, and an apostle, and a teacher of the
Gentiles.
-
II Timothy 4:17 - Notwithstanding
the Lord stood with me, and strengthened me; that by me the preaching might
be fully known, and that all the Gentiles might hear: and I was delivered
out of the mouth of the lion.
Actually forbidden by Jews and hindered by Satan for Paul, etc. to reach
to the Gentiles.
-
I Thessalonians 2:14-18 -
For ye, brethren, became followers of the churches of God which in Judaea
are in Christ Jesus: for ye also have suffered like things of your own
countrymen, even as they have of the Jews: Who both killed the Lord Jesus,
and their own prophets, and have persecuted us; and they please not God,
and are contrary to all men: Forbidding us to speak to the Gentiles that
they might be saved, to fill up their sins alway: for the wrath is come
upon them to the uttermost.
-
But we, brethren, being taken from you for
a short time in presence, not in heart, endeavoured the more abundantly
to see your face with great desire. Wherefore we would have come unto you,
even I Paul, once and again; but Satan hindered us.
